she’s getting on my nerves,
you don’t love her,
stop playing with those words.
– Melanie Martinez, from the song Pacify Her.
Oh Hey There! Friends, Romans and Countrymens! Lend me your ears! oh wait, not ears, but eyes, rather, LOL. 🙂 How y’all been doing today? Me? I’m doing fine, just came back from a semi-nice short vacation. It could have been all nice, ya know, but one of my dearest lovely companion was getting on my nerves. You know those type, the ones that selectively picks their food, not by medical or religious reasons, but just because they wanna feel like a diva with a brattitude. I was like, “Do you like this?” “Do you like that?” and she’s like “I don’t like this” ” I don’t like that” “I don’t like sugar, I don’t like salt, no cheese, no sauce, no burger, no hotdog, no cilantro, no water with ice, no this, no that.” Everything is poison to her. Good Lord! And I was like, “Girl…eat the f*cking food or I will eat you alive!” Yeah, that’s how mad I was. So, I dedicated that song above for her. Pacify her, indeed. (Excuse the ranting 🙂 )
Anyhow, today let’s talk about my other favorite matte liquid lipsticks from Anastasia Beverly Hills. They are full-coverage matte liquid lipsticks that are high quality, intensely pigmented, no annoying scents, and smear-resistant. They have the same quality as Kat Von D’s Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks, Stila’s Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick, Smashbox Alway On, and Too Faced’s Melted Matte. They also come in different alluring shades that you’ll surely have fun choosing which one to pick up.
Dolce – Muted Coral. This comes off as peachy nude coral on me. Very wearable and a perfect coral nude for someone with NC30-35 skin tone, as this won’t make you look washed out. This will probably look very coral on lighter tones, and is very ideal for daywear or spring and summer looks. Love the formula a lot because it’s not so drying.
Dusty Rose – This is my favorite shade of all the Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick line. It’s a mauve nude with a muted brick red undertone. So beautiful and easy to wear. I bet this would work on any skin tones. Quite similar to Kat Von D’s Lolita or even Lolita II. Also has similar tones to Too Faced’s Sell Out.
Crush – Soft Beige. I was bit surprised, since I thought I would love this shade a lot. I thought it would be the perfect neutral/nude on me, but it kinda made me look washed out. I guess because it’s a shade lighter than my NC30-35 skin. This would really work on anybody with lighter tones.
Soft Lilac – Pale Violet. This shade is a bit misleading on the packaging. It looked really mauvy and muted, but this comes off as a bright fuchsia-like violet that can be too much since it’s highly pigmented. It is very similar to its sister Catnip, which I didn’t buy. They’re both on the purple/pink/volet/fuchsia side. I don’t like this much, but I also don’t hate it. This would be really great on anybody with a darker skin tone.
Ashton – Midtone Yellow Brown. A lot of people don’t like this. But I do. In fact, this is my second favorite shade of all the Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipsticks. I guess people don’t like this as it might have looked too dark or too brown on them. But for someone with a medium skin tone like me, this worked really well. On my skin, this shade really appeared as a midtone yellowish brown.
