Boscia MakeUp-BreakUp Cool Cleansing Oil review

Hi! Happy Weekend Y’all! I’ve got a roundup of my some of my favorite latest skincare finds. Been testing them religiously and they’re all really great. You might find them very useful especially in this cold chilly season. Some of these products are quite life-changing and they are definitely worth your try, that’s if you haven’t tried them already.

Boscia MakeUp-BreakUp Cool Cleansing Oil

Boscia MakeUp-BreakUp Cool Cleansing Oil (mini/0.17 oz: $10, standard/5.oz: $32) – This cleansing oil doesn’t smell like most Boscia’s facial products that have that charcoal-ish scent. In fact, this is quite menthol-like and has that soothing effect on the senses. What I like about this particular cleanser are two things: First, it’s really light and non-sticky. Second: this is probably one of the best cleansing oil I’ve ever tried lately because it breaks and melts any foundation and any waterproof eyeliner or matte lipsticks like a charm, and it removes them thoroughly and softly. I’ve been practicing the art and religion of double cleansing nowadays because I love that it helps to remove excess oil from my face and it saves me a ton of cotton pads. Also, my favorite Garnier micellar water doesn’t seem to work as well as before, so yeah, double cleansing is now my new found religion. LOL. Buy this, not THAT (whatever THAT is).

Donna Karan Cashmere Mist Deodorant (1.7 oz: $27) – Your makeup might be on point but is your armpit situation under control? that’s the million dollah question, right? Gurl, whether your underarms are experiencing winter or summer down there, we gotta keep that temperature under control, if you know what I mean. Take it from me, I’ve been searching far and wide for a good deodorant that will keep my armpits dry and will smell like heaven at the same time. It took me a while, I’ve tried men’s deodorant, clinical strength deodorant and some other out of this world deodorants, none of them pleased me. Thank goodness I found this at Sephora and let me tell you, this does not only control the wetness (great if you have hyperhidrosis too), this also smells like a sheer version of the famous Cashmere Mist fragrance by Donna Karan. It’s a great scent to complement your favorite cashmere this winter. This I highly recommend.

Kate Somerville Anti Bac Clearing Lotion (1.7 oz: $42) – I decided to buy this because I’ve been having some pimple issues lately, and I ran out of my favorite anti-acne treatment, so yeah, I was up for a product adventure and since I’m a long time Kate Somerville fan, which started with their Quench Hydrating Face Serum, I decided to give this Benzoyl Peroxide face lotion a try. This has 5% Benzoyl Peroxide plus Argan, Sesame Seed extracts etc. to prevent dryness and regulate excess oil-production. I think this product is probably one of the most different benzoyl peroxide cream/lotion I’ve ever tried because this is not really drying and we all know what Benzoyl Peroxide is. But this one is just different, and it really helps to alleviate the zits, controls my oily-prone skin while not drying it too much. It feels really mild but it works.

Kojie San Kojic Acid Soap review

Kojie San Kojic Acid Soap ($8.09 2 Pack) – If you’re happy and you know this soap, clap your hands! If you’re not happy and you don’t know this soap, then don’t clap your hands! LOL, read my review instead. Here’s the deal with this soap, If you’re Asian or had been to Asia, then this soap is definitely familiar to you. There’s a whole lot of truth in this soap. This is every girl’s basic soap if you’re into that whitening kind of stuff. Kojie San soap has Kojic Acid which mildly inhibits the skin’s pigment, thus having a lightened effect. Now, I’m not into that lightened skin trend, but this soap is constant in my life simply because I like to use this to erase or lighten my dark spots and blemishes. Also, I really love the scent (lemon-like) and the way this soap cleanses my skin. Every time I use this my skin feels thoroughly and completely cleaned, with no trace of any oiliness. Like it just sucks the excess oil off my face, and besides, this soap is really cheap and it naturally works. I have this in every sink of my bathroom and kitchen, yeah, that’s how much of a sucker I am for this cult-favorite. Try it, won’t hurt.

It's Skin Cookie & Body Ice Cream in Original review

It's Skin Cookie & Body Ice Cream in Original

It’s Skin Cookie & Body Ice Cream in Original and Strawberry (2.7 oz: $10) – One of my latest discovery, I was really curious and excited about this K-beauty cream. Would you believe that a body cream with real cookie chips can actually feel so good on the body? I think I do. This cream is one of a kind, and it smells delicious, you could almost eat it. There’s 3 different scents or flavors of this said cream; the Original, which basically smells like true cookies n’ cream. Strawberry, which smells like strawberry shortcake, really delish, and Mint, which I haven’t tried, but I think you can already discern what it already smells. The cream is really good and very moisturizing, in fact, I’ve taken a break from my regular favorite Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Cream because these creams are so tempting. I’m not really into creams or body lotions that smell like food, but these? so hard to resist. I love how the soft cream mixed with cookie chips just melts into my skin, but just be careful and make sure that you spread the cream evenly on your body because the cookie bits might leave a dark residue on the skin and could be mistaken as dirt, LOL. But anyway, if you’re looking for an affordable yummy smelling cream this winter, you can’t go wrong with this.

Lancome Visionnaire Nuit Beauty Sleep Perfector Advanced Multi-Correcting Gel-in-Oil review

Lancome Visionnaire Correcting & Protecting Duo (Limited Edition for $119, a $176 value) – I’ve always wanted to try the Lancome Visionnaire line for a long long time. People keep telling me to try this and I just wasn’t so sure about this until a couple of weeks ago. I know I love the Lancome Renergie and was actually planning to purchase that, but perhaps next time. I purchased the Limited Edition Visionnaire Duo to try and I like that this line seems to be on par with my skin issue as far as age is concerned. This range of Lancome skincare is meant to improve the appearance of wrinkles, pores and uneven skin texture.

Lancome Visionnaire Advanced Multi-Correcting Cream Sunscreen Broad Spectrum Spf 20

Full Size (1.7 oz) Visionnaire Advanced Multi-Correcting Cream Sunscreen Broad Spectrum Spf 20 ($88) – Feels very rich and very creamy, which makes it really easy to spread around the face. It melts into my skin fast without any sticky or white residue. The scent is pretty mild compared to the Night Gel-in-Oil below, which is good. My makeup works really well with this as this cream does not make my skin oily. I noticed that my blemishes really seem to appear less visible with this, but it’s not like it happened within days. I’ve been using this for several weeks now, and I love how my skin looks and feels every morning. It’s less rough, more even, zits are somewhat healed faster than before, and my blemishes are kinda lightened. Hmmm, seems like this cream is a keeper.

Full Size (1.7 oz) Visionnaire Nuit Beauty Sleep Perfector Advanced Multi-Correcting Gel-in-Oil ($89) – I was skeptical about this at first because I didn’t really read the fine prints and I was thinking “how can a gel be so hydrating that it can work as a night cream?” oh, well, lesson learned, read the instructions carefully or else you’re gonna fail in the exam, so yeah, this isn’t just your average gel, it’s a gel that becomes an oil, and yes it’s very hydrating. It even keeps my skin hydrated all throughout the night and the following morning when I woke up. It has a bit of a rosy scent plus something else like a banana? Hmmm, I have no idea what that other scent is, it’s familiar but I can’t seem to pinpoint what that really is. Anyway, I love how I don’t have to put a lot of this gel and it transforms into a lightweight oil that plumps and hydrates my skin very well especially during this dry months. I’ve had issues with my skin feeling really dry this Winter and I’ve only found a handful of products that can truly alleviate that. In my opinion, this is one of those that truly hydrates the skin without clogging the pores and it also lightens the dark spots with time.

Are these on your wish list already? Or you’ve had them already?

That’s it for now with me guys. There will be more skincare stuff coming soon, stay tuned…
