Hello World and Hello
Hairy Peter Harry Potter Fans! I’m back and fresh from Flow-ridah. Of course, when you’re in Florida, you gotta do it like you’re in Florida. Not just speaking or understanding Spanish actually, Diablo Hablo Espanol? but visiting the usual suspects places that makes Florida, specifically Orlando, renowned.
Anybody that visited Orlando must have surely been to Universal Studios Island of Adventure . You know, the other Universal park? the one where Harry Potter’s Hogsmeade is located. For those who didn’t know or for those who’s never been there, Universal Studios Orlando has two theme parks, one is Universal Studios Florida and the other one is Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. They both have thrilling rides and picturesque scenes. You can buy a ticket for both parks to visit only for 1 day or you can also buy tickets for 2 days and the third one is free. You can even opt for 1 day 1 park only. Please refer to universalorlando.com for more information on multi-day tickets.
Since I only had a few days of vacation, I decided to go with 1 day park to park ticket. Which means that I can basically crossover one park to the other in the same day. I did that so I could see both Harry Potter themes. I’ve heard people saying that the only nice things to see at Universal’s are actually the Harry Potter ones. That might be true. But I also liked the “Poseidon” theme, and “Sinbad perhaps. What I find annoying is Universal’s intentional purpose of putting two Harry Potter themes in both parks. I could paid for only 1 theme park and see both. But yeah, it’s all about the B…for Business.
The tickets are really expensive, and there were lots of people. Huge crowds that couldn’t even pass through because they all wanna see the Harry Potter area. I realize that these themes alone attracts the most people and it looks like they were not designed to handle that much crowd. I admit that they were well-designed, and you’ll really feel like you’re in Harry Potter’s world, but damn, it was a hot and humid 94 degrees F and massive amounts of people were everywhere. Some have weird magic wands and some looked like they just graduated from “dunno-what” degree. 🙂 they were just really hard-core
Horny Peter Harry Potter fans who wanted to dress like him or like the other characters.
Oh did I forget to mention that if you’re gonna spend 1 day only in both parks, then you might as well skip the rides/shows? because I swear, their rides are mostly dizzying and they almost have a 1 hour interval before each shows starts. Perhaps I’ve gotten too old for theme parks and such, but girl…you mama hate them rollercoasters! them teenagers are havin’ fun with it me, but me? hell no! uh-uh… no vertigo here…:-)
Anyhow, here’s a pictionary review of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Universal’s Island of Adventure “Hogshead.” Enjoy… (I’m about to cross to Universal Studios Florida using the Hogwarts Express to see the “Diagon Alley, stay tuned…”)
