Tatcha Violet-C Radiance Mask Review

Hello There, let’s start this week with a bang! this is gonna be an exciting week, plus it’s 4th of July tomorrow, what’s your plan? but before that, Tatcha recently released its highly anticipated anti-aging mask, the Violet-C Radiance Mask (1.7 oz: $68) and I’ve got some exciting photos for ya.

Tatcha Violet-C Mask Review

The Violet-C Radiance Mask by Tatcha is a violet-colored mask that smells slightly clayish and sweet. It has Japanese beautyberry, two types of Vitamin C and AHAS from seven fruits, green tea, rice and some other anti-aging ingredients. This mask is extremely creamy, soothing and hydrating. It also rinses off easily and it makes the face smooth and soft.

It stays creamy and thick throughout the application and it doesn’t dry or solidify like some other masks. What this does is to provide extreme hydration to the face while loading it with antioxidants and anti-aging properties for that smooth and youthful glow. It’s practically great for any skin type because it doesn’t really irritate the skin, and I find that this works great for my redness as it seems to neutralize it and it improves my skin’s texture.

There is no stinging sensation with this Japanese-made Mask, because it doesn’t have any harsh ingredients, although it might make you look like a purple Smurf, but it’s alright because this washes off easily and your skin will feel totally soft. It makes it easier to squeeze the blackheads out. Ha!. On the other hand, I love the packaging. As always, Tatcha wows us with their gorgeous and luxurious packaging. The mask even comes with a golden spatula and a nice sleek box with a Japanese flair to it.

This Mask can be used 2-3 times a week and you can leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes, then you can rinse it off with warm water and voila! This mask is packed with ingredients that our skin needs, especially after any stress or exposure to harsh environment. The added two types of Vitamin C are a huge benefit and a necessity as part of any skincare, so I’m definitely gonna be using this long term.

Maybelline Master Strobing Stick Review

Maybelline Master Strobing Stick Review

Lookie Lookie, look what I got today! It’s been a while since I featured some drugstore beauty finds, but something caught my eye when I was at my local pharmacy a few days ago. I saw these two cute-looking highlighter sticks from Maybelline and I couldn’t resist. With all the highlighter buzz and trends nowadays which are mostly pricey, who couldn’t resist the cheap drugstore Maybelline Master Strobing (0.67 oz: $9.99) Illuminating Highlighter? Let’s take a look at how they compare to other high-end and big name highlighter brands nowadays.

Maybelline Master Strobing Stick swatches

At first glance, I seem to love the shades of these highlighters even if thereโ€™s only two shades released. One is a pearly shimmer and the other one is more of a golden nude. Not sure how they applied or what the texture is because you can’t really try them in the store, unlike Sephora or Ulta. They sorta look dry and powdery but NOPE, theyโ€™re not. Theyโ€™re actually super creamy and they apply smoothly.

The shimmer of these Maybelline Master Strobing Sticks is very subtle or natural but also very buildable. Theyโ€™re non-drying and there’s no fallout. Theyโ€™re so creamy that theyโ€™re actually better than some other highlighter sticks out there. In fact, I was really impressed at the quality of the formula. To be honest, they feel like high-end highlighters. I love it.

Judging from the aisle scenario where I spotted these strobing products, it looks like people seem to love these strobing sticks because mine were practically the last ones left. Hmmm, I also saw the Maybelline Master Strobing Liquid, which may be reviewed here soon. And hmmm, I really need to do another serious exploration of my local drugstore from now on, for sure.

Bottom line, I LOVE these highlighter sticks and I highly recommend them, you better grab one now because the quality is unbeatable, the shimmer is great, and they beat the popular brands, on top of that, they’re pretty much easy to use and easy to find. The only problem is good luck finding them in stock and if you find one, you’re gonna wish them in hundred different shades. Because honestly, you can only wonder why are these so cheap?

The Maybelline Master Strobing stick is available at Target, Walgreens, Amazon, Ulta, plus some other drugstores nationwide.

Sephora Play! June 2017 Box

Namaste! This month’s Sephora Play contains products that address your summer needs. Sephora calls it the “Summer Starters”. It’s all about reinforcing your makeup to keep it longer in this warming temps while keeping your look fresh as always.

Sephora Play! June 2017 box

Here they are:

Sephora Play! June 2017 benefit professional verb sea spray bvlgari omnia crystalline

1. Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline Eau de Toilette (0.34 oz/Travel Size: $25, 1.3 oz: $66, 2.2 oz $82) – Similar to Omnia Coral but way fresher. It has notes of bamboo and lotus, while it dries down into slightly woody, but still very floral fresh. This scent lasts a long time and it’s not boring.

2. Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional Face Primer (0.25 oz/Mini: $12, 0.75 oz $31) – Always been in love with this primer, together with Smashbox Photofinish Classic Primer. I love this because it truly blurs your pores and other imperfections as what it promises. It’s also very lightweight and without the strong silicon feel. It’s great for oily skin and I love the light powdery scent.

3. Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lovesick (0.22 oz: $20) – Mauve Nude. The texture is just like any other KVD Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks which is matte and very long lasting, reviewed further HERE. But this shade is not really my cup of tea. It’s a little too bright of a pink for me.

4. Coola Makeup Setting Spray Spf 30 (1.7 oz: &36) – Seems like a really promising product, but it hurts the eyes and it irritates the nose upon spraying it on the face. The scent is like a strong isopropyl alcohol and the spray does not release a fine mist. It does make your makeup stay long enough though.

5. Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk (1 oz: $10, 3.2 oz: $20) – An Allure Best of Beauty 2016 winner, this is a well-made dry shampoo and one of the best I’ve ever tried. It has a very light lemon/perfume scent and it doesn’t leave any powdery residue on the hair. On top of that, it doesn’t weigh the hair down, instead, it adds a slight volume.

6. Verb Sea Spray (2.4 oz: $7, 6.3 oz: $14) – With quinoa protein and tea extract, this is a lightweight non-sticky hairspray or hair mist. It’s great for creating that airy windblown hair or even creating some very light soft curls. I think this is best when you want to create that Melania hair, a little windswept on the sides, here and there.

Sephora Play! June 2017 contents

So far, my favorites from this month’s box subscription are; Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline Eau de Toilette, Verb Sea Spray, and the Klorane Dry Shampoo, despite my lack of enthusiasm about this month’s products. I think Sephora could’ve sent better products or something new or unique. Oh well, next time perhaps.

What did you get for this month’s Sephora Play? Did you like yours?

Until then friends,

Ciao!
