What’s Up Readers! This holiday season is truly the season of beautiful palette launches, whether it’s an eyeshadow or face, there’s no denying that there’s lots and lots of beautiful breathtaking palettes nowadays. They’re so tempting that it’s difficult to only purchase one. Speaking of tempting, here’s an eye palette that I knew I just had to have because it’s simply one of a kind. The Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Eyeshadow Palette (0.89 oz: $65) is a unique balance of matte and shimmery shades that are simply stunning. The entire palette has 18 gorgeous colors which allow you to create different looks, from having a simple natural eye makeup to an alluring and dramatic look.

This is probably one of the prettiest eyeshadow palettes I’ve ever seen and tried, shade-wise. Even the packaging is pretty too. Each shade is well-made and well-thought-out. Most of them are something I’d be excited to try all the time, also, I really like that they’re so easy to blend. There are some matte shades, some glittery shades and some duo-chrome shades which are all very pigmented, very blendable, creamy-like and long-lasting. The price may be steep but it’s a pretty large palette, and each shade is truly worth it. Also, the possibilities are endless as you can customize your look quite a lot.

The glittery shades of this Desert Dusk Eye Palette are really surprisingly impressive when it comes to their blendability. You’d think there’s a lot of fallouts, but not really. I’m really surprised that the glitters stayed on my lids. Even the pearly are ones are very long lasting as well. As I’ve mentioned before, I’m really a fond of the shades, but there’s some really standout gorgeous shades for me, like; Royal, Retrograde, Twilight, Nefertiti, Blood Moon, Saffron, Blazing and my most favorite Turkish Delight. Cosmo is also a pure glitter shade that is very versatile to use. This palette really made me love glittery eyeshadows all over again, even if I’m not really a fan of them. But I have a feeling that that’s gonna change pretty soon.

Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Eyeshadow review

All the shades are very pigmented, but there are a few matte ones that are extremely long lasting that they almost leave a stain on the lids. The shades Amber, Oud, and Saffron have this property, but Blazing is OMG. It’s so staining that you might have to use a really good makeup remover to take it off. It’s a beautiful Turmeric-ish shade that is one a kind and very timely in today’s eye makeup color trend. I’ve read some reviews that mentioned about the mattes being not as pigmented, but that is really not the case in my experience.

With all the eyeshadow palettes that have been released nowadays, I think this Desert Dusk is a must have, knowing that you’ll have a lot of colors to play with and that all the shades are very interesting. Also, their lasting power is very reliable, not to mention that each shade is easy to work around the lids. The colors blend seamlessly, with the matte and glitter shades all complementing each other to create a beautiful stare-worthy eye makeup look.

Another Eyeshadow palette that is also worth looking into is the Tarte Toasted Eyeshadow Palette, a review of that will be out soon. But anyways, if you’re the type that doesn’t like to hoard a lot of eyeshadows or eyeshadow palettes but is on the market to for an investment-worthy one, then I think you may wanna try this because it has lots of color choices to choose from and their pigments and lasting power are really good. I usually apply mine dry or damp, and each time I apply the shades I always get a compliment for how unique, stunning, and different my eye makeup is.
