Hello makeup lovers! This is gonna be an orange kind of day, and also a conjuring contouring kind of day. We’ve already talked about Smashbox Contour Stick Trio, reviewed HERE, now we’re gonna talk about my favorite contouring product of all time. Not in terms of its ease of application, but its good formulation. This Kat Von D Shade+Light Contour Palette is one of the best in the market out there. It has 3 light shades and 3 contour shades to choose from. You can just pick and match to see which shade best suit your skin tone. It goes from light, medium, to dark.

Kat Von D Shade+Light Palette: I really like its subtle and blendable shade and it works very well in sculpting your face. I try not to put a lot of it though because it may not look natural and will make my face look cakey. I think you just need to put the right amount to highlight and contour. It also tends to be long lasting and I didn’t have any negative reaction since I’ve been using this. The only drawback is the need for a brush to apply this properly. Though any contouring brush would work, I suggest Kat Von D Shade+Light Contour Brush (made specifically for this) is still the best brush to apply this palette. Simply because the size of the said brush is tailor-made for this palette.

Kat Von D Shade+Light Contour Brush: It’s a very soft dual-ended brush with an angle end for contouring and another dome-shaped end for highlighting. This particular brush really hugs and glides around the shape of your face and makes contouring easier. Though I find its case to be interestingly-designed (like a coffin), it kinda feels flimsy and plasticky on my hands. But still, it’s a good case to store a dual-ended brush.

Here’s the swatch of the palette:

As you can see, they’re indeed subtle, blendable and wearable. If you can only have one contouring makeup product, definitely consider Kat Von D Shade+Light Contour Palette, and oh, don’t forget the Contour Brush too.

Ciao for now,

See y’all!
