Hello Guys! I’m back! At least for now until I get on my next whirlwind trip. It’s been a crazy past few weeks and I’ll let you know more in the next reviews about my unforgettable adventure. But to give you a bit of life update, oh well, I don’t really know how to begin. I’m still trying to figure out in my head on how to summarize everything. Anyway, as you all know, I went on a trip which a mix of business and leisure. And when you mix those two things, all sorts of craziness can happen, including time constraints and stress. I went to Southampton UK to visit my cousin and to have a glimpse of London as well. Everything was wonderful but of course, I didn’t have enough time to see everything as I had to go to Barcelona too. And with all the things happening in Catalonia, I knew there will be some tensions. Luckily, there weren’t many demonstrations brewing around when I arrived, and I got a chance to shop at Passeig de Gracia asap, for the same reason that I may not have the chance to do it in the next few days, and I also have a business/errand thing to attend to before coming back home. It could have been all fine and dandy until my Catalan family and I had a dinner and we all had a freaking food poisoning. I was the one who took a lot of beating. I thought I would see my liver, gallbladder, or spleen in every puke. Not to mention the gazillion trips to the bathroom. On top of that, I was developing a flu and I was already so jet lagged. I had to go home the next day and I walked through the airport looking like the zombie in “fear the walking dead”. As if I haven’t had enough, I received a lot of bad news and health issues about some of my relatives. I even got a couple of personal bad news myself. One was nothing but an annoyance, but another one determined the course of my life in the next few years. To sum it all up, the experience made me feel like I was being f*cked sideways, upward, downward, top to bottom. LOL. It was horrible and I would not wish it on my enemy.

Anyways, I’m in a recovery mode now. I still feel like the world is spinning around because my recovery is very slow, but I’m on way. So let’s do some review because I’m tired of staring at the ceiling since there’s pretty much nothing to see in there. I’m tired of talking to my cats because they’re just gonna keep on begging for snacks. Ha! I don’t wanna go sleep because there’s nothing that haunts us like the things we didn’t buy. LOL. I don’t even wanna close my eyes because I need to know when my orders are gonna arrive! haha. Gotta track them, gurl. Even though my whole experience made me wanna shoot myself in the eye socket, I know I can’t die because there’s a lot of beautiful holiday eye and face palettes being released nowadays. So I’d like to put some color on my face, and I need some serious distraction. Let’s have some reviews and expect to see more holidays palettes being reviewed soon. Excited much!

Sephora Collection Triple Action Cleansing Water

“Keep your friends close and your beauty routine closer” Oh my, I’m so up for that. This month’s Sephora Play! theme is all about the “Public Display of Complexion” Yeah gurl! flaunt that gorgeous pre-winter skin, let’s have a “good skincare don’t care” moment. I do believe that good makeup starts with good skin, and I’m really loving the whole winter skin prep for this season, also, it’s really about time to take care of our skin during this bone-chilling months.

For me, this month’s contents are quite interesting. There’s a couple of products that I’m not that familiar with, so that’s exciting to try, and a scent that I’m either gonna love or hate.

Urban Decay Quick Fix Hydracharged Prep Priming Spray

Sephora Collection Triple Action Cleansing Water (1.69 oz: $6, 6.76 oz: $12, 13.5 oz: $20) – This has a bit of an alcohol smell, but it removes the makeup like a breeze, even eye makeup. It didn’t really sting my face given its astringent-ish scent. But I wish this was fragrance-free or it could have a mild powdery or floral scent. It’s a no-rinse micellar water which also adds hydration to the face. Overall, I like this micellar water makeup remover like most micellar makeup remover. I just think that all micellar almost work the same and that you don’t need a slightly fancy or exclusive one. This one is also quite affordable but only available at Sephora.

Urban Decay Quick Fix Hydracharged Prep Priming Spray (Mini 1 oz: $15, 4 oz: $32) – Smells like coconut heaven, this primer fine mist is fast and easy to use and it’s hydrating, which is ideal for this cool dry season, and also great if you tend to have a very dry skin. I like the fact that it has Vitamin B3 and overall it’s gentle and it didn’t cause any breakouts on my skin. It didn’t really brighten or reduce the appearance of my pores though, but it made my skin feel smooth and soft.

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation in Y335 or 127 Dark Sand (1.01 oz: $43) – Further reviewed HERE. I’ve always loved this foundation and was planning to purchase one in its regular size. I like its soft natural effect and it doesn’t cake. It gives a good coverage enough to cover my skin’s imperfections without looking too dry, too thick, too sheer, or too oily. I think Sephora did a good job at sending me the Y335 shade, as it matches my skin quite well.

Sunday Riley C.E.O. Rapid Flash Brightening Serum

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye Full Coverage Anti-Aging Waterproof Concealer in Medium (0.28 oz: $24) – Texture-wise, this feels really thick, super-pigmented and dense, but it’s spreadable and very easy to blend. The medium shade comes off as a bit light yellowish beige in broad daylight, but it looks kinda pinky in the shade. I like it a lot. Makes me look like I’ve slept for a thousand years, only to wake up realizing everyone’s gone. LOL. It gives a good coverage for my puffy and dark undereyes, but a little bit goes a long way, or else you’ll look like a ghost.

Gucci Bloom Eau de Parfum For Her (Mini Rollerball 0.25 oz: $34, 1 oz: $72, 1.6 oz: $94, 3.4 oz: $124) – I remember I was handed a ribbon spritz with this scent at a Gucci store in Passeig de Gracia Barcelona. I thought the scent was too strong and too overwhelming for me. Too much gardenia or jasmine it started to smell like my dead grandmother. LOL. Sorry. My bad. May she rest in peace. God bless her soul, and may the Lord forgive me Amen. But yeah, it’s too heady for me. However, this could be a staple strong winter scent for someone else. Nuff said.

Sunday Riley C.E.O. Rapid Flash Brightening Serum (1 oz: $85) – Has an amazing breathtaking citrus/orange scent. It smells yum and fresh and it has 15% Vitamin C. I love it. I’ve always wanted to add some Vitamin C to my skin care and I think this might be the one. It doesn’t really feel like a serum though, it feels more like a moisturizing soft cream or lotion. I lilly lilly love it. I can’t wait for its brightening and anti-aging effect. That’s if I’ll purchase the regular size one though. Wink.

Overall, I love love love the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye Full Coverage Anti-Aging Concealer, Sunday Riley C.E.O. Brightening Serum, MUFE HD Invisible Cover Foundation, and UD Quick Fix Hydracharged Priming Spray.
