Hi all! Hereโs a post Iโve been meaning to share months ago, but, I was so busy that I forgot about sharing them. Now that I have some time, Iโm sharing with you my favorite shades of the Chanel Rouge Allure Ink lip color line.
I love these lipsticks so much and I use them a lot, especially Pre-Covid. Chanel, initially had the Rouge Allure Ink line only, which is their version of matte lipstick. However, some of the shades had questionable formulations due to being quite streaky upon application. I never really actually experienced that and had been very happy with the line. Last year, I was in Singapore and I found myself wandering at a Chanel beauty counter. I saw that they launched an improved version of the Rouge Allure Ink line, which is called Rouge Allure Ink Fusion. I was so excited because the formula is exactly what I wanted in a matte lip color โ lightweight, pigmented, non-sticky, no strong scent, and totally wearable.
Curious to see what my favorites shades are from these Chanel matte liquid lipstick lines?
Read below.
Rouge Allure Ink: Creamy, velvety, and with a flat brush applicator
Rouge Allure Ink Fusion: Similar formula to Narsโ Powermatte which is very fluid. Sets easily, very lightweight, doesnโt try the lips. Applicator is somewhat pointy.
804 Mauvy Nude โ nude mauve, works well for any skin tone. I wear this a lot.
806 Pink Brown โ muted pinkish/rosy brown. This shade is so beautiful and one of my favorites as well.
Other shades not mentioned here is the beautiful Rouge Allure Ink Fall-Winter shade, called Melancholia (swatched HERE) and Ambiguรฏtรฉ (released this year), which is a brownish-red tone.
The Chanel Rouge Allure Ink, especially the Rouge Allure Ink Fusion, are refinements of what used to be the matte liquid lipsticks weโve known (drying, sticky, uncomfortable). These are my top favorites when it comes to matte liquid lipsticks because these are truly reliable and will make you look fabulous on any occasion.
Hello everybody! Are you enjoying this beautiful Autumn season? Any plans for a gorgeous Fall decor? Or have you been carving that pumpkin already?
This Fall is always an exciting time for me because as always, Chanel’s Winter/Fall makeup releases are giving me life. As always, their products are so exciting that I can’t wait to rock some of their deep red lip colors and bold dramatic eyeshadows along with my monochromatic goth (lol) Fall/Winter outfits. Fall, definitely, is such a very interesting and inspirational season for me.
For my favorites this season, I’ve added a product that wasn’t necessarily released this season but was actually released early this year. Also, I’ve added a repeat favorite of mine for the nails.
Rouge Allure Ink Fusion Matte Liquid Lip Color in Ambiguรฏtรฉ – I love Chanel’s Rouge Allure Ink Fusion because the formula is just so good and is not patchy compared to the Rouge Allure Ink. Also, this isn’t drying and is very comfortable on the lips. The Ambiguรฏtรฉ shade, which is a medium mauvy brown is my favorite this season because it complements my skintone very well. I will be posting some of my favorite Rouge Allure Ink & Ink Fusion shades very soon. So, stay tuned for that.
Les 4 Ombres Multi-effect Quadra Eyeshadow Candeur Et Provocation – I picked this eyeshadow over the Candeur Et Seduction because this isn’t too heavy on “reds”. The Candeur Et Seduction quad seems a little too much for me and I don’t think I could pull off that much reddish tones on my lids. The shades are really vivid and beautiful though. This Candeur Et Provocation is enough to give you that eye drama because it borders on being earthy, natural, and rose-like. It’s the perfect eyeshadow quad to transition to this Fall’s warm and spice-like eye makeup tones.
Le Gel Coat Longwear Top Coat – This isn’t really a Fall release, but a repeat love for me. I’m a big fan of this fast-drying gel top coat because this makes my nail polish last longer than the usual gel top coats. Also, this minimizes any color chipping issues after days of wearing any gel nail color.
Le Vernis Longwear Nail Color in Interdit – My Fall vibe won’t be complete without another wine-colored nail polish. This very deep red and black-mixed shade is so pretty and so irresistible even though it’s quite dupable. I’m a sucker for this type of shade and I won’t mind hoarding this color every Fall and Winter.
Le Blanc Rosy Light Drops – Released earlier this year and was sold out for some time, I swear I’ve been dying to get my hands on this. Guess what, this liquid, rosy, and pearly iridescent highlighter is just so pretty and so perfect for an everyday natural glow. I find that this is quite hard to photograph indoor because this tends to blend on my skin, but whenever I’m outside, this really shines through. I totally love the gorgeous packaging and the practical pump that releases just enough product to cover the whole face. Speaking of face, this can be worn alone, mixed with your favorite moisturizer, or can be blended with your foundation of choice. This is so versatile and I highly recommend that you try this one asap.
Here’s a final look at the Le Blanc highlighter swatched all over my hand.
Those are my faves for this Fall/Winter Chanel beauty releases. I can’t wait for next year’s Spring/Summer products. What are your favorite makeup products this Fall?
Nothing gets me in the mood for Fall than getting some new Chanel Beauty goodies. I don’t know why, it must be the changing colors or the transitioning weather along with the gorgeous cool palettes and lipsticks that Chanel tends to release every Autumn, but there’s definitely something about all these factors that make me really excited about what’s supposed to be a very chilly season this year (hopefully not). But before we start with the Chanel beauties I’m loving this Fall and Winter, please have a look at my Chanel Faves last Fall 2018, click HERE.
I didn’t really pick up all the stuff that Chanel released this Fall-Winter 2019, and that’s because there were some new releases that I didn’t quite like, so I ended up adding some items that were mostly released earlier this year which I’ve been wishlisting for a while.
I skipped on the two new eyeshadows released this season (Les 4 Ombres Quadra Eyeshadows) because I wasn’t feeling the shades, or it’s more like I wasn’t sure whether if I could pull off the shades or not, since one compact seems to be too dark and the other seems to be too futuristic on me, lol. I did get a few more shades of my favorite Rouge Allure Liquid Powders, but I skipped on the new Rouge Allure Ink Fusion, which is the new and improved version of the Rouge Allure Ink. I did kind of regret doing that, so I might actually feature that particular Chanel lip product anytime soon in one of my upcoming posts, and I will definitely let you know whether it’s worth having or not, and whether it’s really better than the original Chanel Rouge Allure Ink. So, stay tuned for that. I also added one more shade in my stash of the Chanel Le Crayon Mat and one more of the Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Extreme. Anyways, check out my Chanel Beauty haul this Autumn.
Les 4 Ombres Multi-Effect Quadra Eyeshadow in 328 Blurry Mauve (62 USD) – Released last May 2019, this is the eyeshadow that’s giving me the feels this Fall, apart from the 268 Candeur Et Expรฉrience which is also a very good spice-toned quad of shades. I picked this one up because I like its wearable color scheme, which is very versatile and can be worn not only for this Fall-Winter, but also throughout any season and on any day. Its mix of natural earthy tones and pale/neutral mauve tones are easy for a transitional weather everyday look, and it reminds me a bit of the 308 Clair-Obscur Chanel eyeshadow compact released last Fall 2018 which I still love nowadays as well. The shades of this quad compact are matte and their overall effect adds warmth and color on the face without looking too gothic or too metallic. See more Chanel eyeshadow swatches HERE.
978 Bois de Nuit – this is a new shade this Fall 2019. On my lips, this looks like a pale light rose pink. Indoor, this shade is quite hard to see on my lips and this is almost on the border of being too light for me, but in broad daylight, this shows as a perfect everyday healthy pink lip glow for a “no-makeup” makeup look.

970 Ruby Red – this is very similar to the shade 960 Avant Gardiste (seen HERE) that was released last year, but perhaps this is more on the purple raspberry pink side, but I honestly almost could not tell the difference between this and the Avant Gardiste shade.
968 Vintage Pink – released early this year, this shade is quite similar to the 978 Bois de Nuit above, but this is a bit warmer and deeper in tone, so, it looks more like a muted vintage rose pink on me, which actually suits my skin very well.
Rouge Allure Velvet Extreme in 128 Rose Nocturne (38 USD) – a FAll 2019 release, this shade is like a vintage rose brown. It looks great when applied lightly on the lips for that perfect Fall lip shade, and it also looks fabulous when applied fully on the lips. The texture is very matte, lightweight, and very long-wearing. See more of the Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Extreme Lipsticks HERE.
Le Rouge Crayon de Couleur Mat in 287 Rosy Wood (38 USD) – This isn’t new this Fall, but this is a limited edition shade. I picked this one up because I really love the long-wearing pigment of this particular Chanel lip pencil. It’s not as matte as the Rouge Allure Velvet Extreme Lipstick (above) but this stains the lips for hours and hours, so it’s one of those reliable lip products for me. The Rosy Wood shade looks more woody brown with a rosy hint up close.
To sum it up, the Chanel new releases this Fall/Winter are great, especially the lip products, and the overall new releases this year are also amazing and some of them are definite must-haves. Also, the items I picked for this review are really good in terms of quality, pigment, wear, and versatility. They’re enough to get me inspired for the long chilly months.
Have you tried any of these already? What makeup brands/products inspire you this Fall?
