Fresh Mini Loves – Fresh Faves Review.

Rose Deep Hydration Face Mask

Hello there! Are you a big Fresh Beauty fan? I have some Fresh Beauty skincare minis set to review in this post. These are fan-faves and my faves as well. These products can work for dry, oily, normal, or even combination skin, and they’re all sulfate-free, paraben-free, and also phthalate-free.ย

This cute set is limited-edition and it’s perfect for trying out some of Fresh Beauty’s cult-favorite products. This set is also great as a gift for your loved one or for any skincare junkie in your life.

Check out what’s inside this set below.

fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Moisturizer

Soy Face Cleanser – This is one of my favorite hydrating face cleansers, especially whenever my skin gets really dry. I love using this in the Winter times, but also whenever the humidity level drops in my room. Guess what? This can remove makeup too and doesn’t feel too stripping on the skin.

Rose Deep Hydration Face Mask – This mask works for both oily and dry skin. For those with dry skin, this mask is definitely so hydrating. For those with oily skin like mine, the rose ingredient in this mask can rehydrate and rebalance the moisture in the skin. Thus, making it less oily in the long run.

Kombucha Essence – This toner/essence is packed with wonderful ingredients like Hyaluronic acid, Mandarin Peel Extract, and Fermented Black Tea – which all aid in the anti-aging process. I love anything that says fermented or fermented yeast and my skin seems to work really well with this. I’m hoping to test this in the long run, to see if I will achieve that glow that SK-II gives me. IMO, this is giving me that “Pitera” vibe.

Lotus Youth Preserve Moisturizer – This moisturizer is ideal for those with dry skin, but it’s also going to work for those with oily skin, provided that you don’t put too much. I really like how lightweight and non-sticky this is. In fact, this is one of those “super moisturizing” anti-aging moisturizers that work for my oily skin.

Sugar Lip Treatment Advanced Therapy – If you like Fresh Beauty’s products, you know you’re going to love their yummy lip treatments. They come in different tinted shades and different flavors. This classic one is meant to hydrate dry lips. I love using this at night and as a lipstick primer.

Fresh Citron de Vigne Review

fresh beauty citron de vigne bath and body

A few months ago, I reviewed the Fresh Beauty Lychee bodycare products, which you can read here. In this post, I will be reviewing another interesting Fresh scent for bath and body as well, and it’s the Citron de Vigne. This scent comes in candle form, perfume, lotion, and hand cream, among other things. While I have not tried the soap, candle, and fragrance versions, I do have a review of the shower gel, body lotion, and the hand cream below.

As an overview, the Fresh Citron de Vigne scent is what I call a good sweet citrus scent. It doesn’t have any acidic notes that you’d typically notice in most citrus-blended fragrances. I find it to be mild and definitely pleasing to the senses and has that overall Summer and vine vibe to it. When comparing it to the other citrusy scents from Fresh Beauty, like the well-loved Fresh Brown Sugar (which doesn’t smell like brown sugar at all) or the Fresh Sugar Lemon, well, the Fresh Brown Sugar has a really strong citrus scent which is very spa-like, and the Sugar Lemon isn’t my favorite because it has a really weird blend of lemon and probably too much sugar that it smells more like a popular toilet spray. But anyway, the Fresh Citron de Vigne is a very good light scent that is not heady and is not overpowering.

fresh citron de vigne body lotion review

Body Lotion (10 oz: 26 USD) – This lotion is paraben-free, sulfate-free, and is mostly made of clean ingredients. Also, this has shea butter and Vitamins C & E that really moisturizes the skin while being lightweight and creamy in texture. Like most Fresh body lotions, this cream doesn’t sit on top of the skin, therefore, this gets absorbed easily. On top of that, this is not sticky and you can double this as a foot cream because this really delivers intense moisture on the skin and there is no need for reapplication. Once a day is enough.

Bath & Shower Gel (10 oz: 23 USD) – This has the same scent as the lotion and has the same texture as with most Fresh shower gels, which is thick yet very easy to lather. You only need to use a few pumps of the product and you’ll get a nice refreshing shower.

Hand cream (1 oz: 14 USD) – I would have totally fallen in love with this hand cream but I have a few reservations. While I don’t question the super-rich and moisturizing texture of this, as well as the wonderful scent, I don’t like the fact that this hand cream is really small. Not so much in terms of packaging, but more like in terms of content. It seems like the whole tube is only filled with half a product. Other than that, this cream really keeps your hand from drying.

Bottom line, the Fresh Citron de Vigne is a really nice mild scent that won’t give you a headache. Also, I recommend the body lotion and the shower gel if you haven’t tried them already, but I’m not quite sure about the hand cream.

Samples of The Week: Lancome, Tata Harper, Algenist, Dior, Jo Malone, Fresh & Hourglass

Samples Of The Week: Lancome, Tata Harper, Algenist, Dior, Jo Malone, Fresh & Hourglass

Aloha folks! It’s about time for some first impressions and fresh takes on some samples that I’ve been testing this week. I’ve chosen a few skincare minis, some scents, and a few makeup samples. A lot of you may have tried them already but it would be really interesting to know what you think about the following products that I’m about to review.

jomalone wood sage & sea salt, tata harper resurfacing mask, fresh rose hydrating eye gel cream review

Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt Cologneย (1 oz $65, 3.4 oz $130)ย – I’d like to think that this is a unisex cologne with a beachy earthy tone. This scent has a salty aquatic vibe to it but only when you don’t spray a lot. It’s refreshing to the senses but it really doesn’t last long. Perhaps it’s only good for about an hour. Spraying more would bring out the strong herb-like scent of sage which can be overpowering.

tata harper resurfacing mask review

Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask (1 oz $58) – A mask that promises to deliver instant glow, minimizes the appearance of pores, evens the skin’s texture and with all-natural ingredients. It sounds really promising, however, I can’t seem to love this mask. I’ve tried it several times already but it just didn’t seem to make a difference on my skin. I like the scent though. It smells like beet, clay, lemon, and something herb-like.

Fresh Rose Hydrating Eye Gel Cream (0.5 oz $41) – There’s something really interesting about this eye cream. I didn’t expect it to be so creamy and luxuriously smooth to the touch. Because of that, it really hydrates my eye area and it doesn’t irritate it. While it didn’t really illuminate my dark circles since the desired effect remains to be seen with time, I love how it felt cool and soothing which calmed down some of my puffiness. I’m not crazy about its strong cucumber-rose scent though.

lancome teint idole foundation, dior j'adore eau lumiere eau de toilette, algenist complete eye renewal balm, hourglass mineral veil primer

Dior J’adore Eau Lumiere, Eau de Toilette (1.7 oz $94, 3.4 oz $124, 5 oz $155) – The captivatingย scent of Dior J’adore continues with its Eau Lumiere edition. This lighter version is still sexy, alluring, romantic, and fresh. This is one of the most beautiful floral scents I’ve ever tried. I love the perfect blend of Blood Orange, Neroli, and Damask Rose. It smells a bit like a bunch of gardenias with something soapy and musky at the same time. Definitely very dramatically fresh.

algenist eye cream

Algenist Complete Eye Renewal Balm (0.5 oz $68) – Ask me what my favorite eye cream is and I will tell you that this is one of them. In fact, there arenโ€™t that many eye creams out there that I like, but this Eye Renewal Balm from Algenist is something I’d like to recommend. I have already started using the regular jar and I’m really in love with it. It has alguronic acid, vitamin C, caffeine, aloe, green tea, etc., and the scent has a very light vanilla hint, similar to most Algenist skincare products but a bit more subtle. I love how this moisturizes my dry and sort of puffy undereyes and its hydrating effect lasts for the rest of the day.

Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Long Wear Foundation In Shades; 310 Bisque C, 320 Bisque W, 360 Bisque N (1 oz $47) – Hmmm, I think I found another beautiful foundation. It’s very lightweight and very natural, which reminded me of Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer (reviewed HERE), Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua (reviewed HERE), Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer (HERE) and Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation (also reviewed HERE). The nice thing is that this particular foundation is oil-free, has SPF 15, and with buildable coverage that is long lasting. The regular bottle’s size is not heavy on the pocket too. I also love that there are tons of shades to choose from with this foundation and I adore the satin-matte effect that it gives on the face.

Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Long Wear Foundation In Shades; 310 Bisque C, 320 Bisque W, 360 Bisque N

Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer (0.31 oz $19, 1 oz $54, 2 oz $75) – Another great primer to have because of its added SPF 15 and it’s oil-free. But somehow, it felt slightly greasy and silky at the same time. Although some have complained that their makeup was sliding off their faces whenever they use this, that hasn’t really occurred to me. I like that this primer makes the skin very smooth with no trace of pilling nor redness. With that, it makes the foundation look even more natural and flawless, and it also makes it last longer. A similar product would be the Nars Pore & Shine Control Primer, but this one has no discerning scent and doesn’t feel as cushiony as the Nars one.

When it comes to choosing which ones are my faves, I’d say, I really like the Algenist Eye Renewal Balm a lot, followed by the scent of Dior J’adore Eau Lumiere, Then I’d like to have a full size of the Lancome Teint Idole Foundation and Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer.

Have you tried any of these before? Which ones do you prefer?

Happy Friyay guys! take care,
