Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Shampoo + Conditioner Review

Bumble And Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil Shampoo + Conditioner Review

With the changing season and the constant traveling I’ve been doing lately, I find that my hair has been taking a lot of beating. From the change of humidity up to the constant heat styling and hurried brushing, I was getting worried that it’s only going to be a matter of time that my strands will get more and more brittle. There are only a few haircare products that I trust that could help restore and keep the natural moisture of my hair. One of them is the Anti-Aging Haircare Replenishing Moisture line from Alterna (reviewed HERE), the second being the Kerastase Discipline Sulfate-Free, and the third one is the Bumble And Bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Shampoo + Conditioner which I keep coming back to no matter what. As you can see, this line is one of my preferred travel shampoo+conditioner and I always purchase them in minis or travel sizes.

This haircare line is probably my most fave from Bumble & Bumble. There were times when I tried to look for some other alternatives but for some reason, I always feel bad whenever I go astray from this line. First of all, this haircare is so good at delivering and keeping moisture on the hair. Even if its name says Invisible “Oil”, it’s not really the very oily type. In fact, your hair won’t even get oily whenever you use this, even if you have fine hair like mine. Second, this makes the hair very manageable, soft, and smooth. No matter what the humidity is going to be, either inside the plane or in the cold harsh Winter months, this haircare line keeps my hair looking shiny and feeling supple without looking heavy. Third, the scent of this is very delightful with its blend of different oils, especially almond oil and argan oil.

Bumble And Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil Shampoo

Bumble And Bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Shampoo (2 oz – 32 oz: 12 USD – 75 USD) – This is one of the few sulfate-free shampoos that lathers well and it smells well. I love the feeling of washing my hair with this and it never dried my strands nor added more weight to it. This also helps in controlling frizz, and it makes the hair look thoroughly cleaned, silky, and smooth. I believe this works very well for any hair type, and especially for those who suffer from hair dryness, brittle hair, or frizzy hair. This shampoo is also made of a blend of lightweight grape seed oil, sweet almond oil, safflower seed oil, etc.

Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil Conditioner Review

Bumble And Bumble Hairdresserโ€™s Invisible Oil Conditioner (2 oz – 32 oz: 13 USD – 79 USD) – This is a very good match to the lightweight and moisturizing shampoo above. This is also made of several oils especially coconut oil, macadamia oil, and argan oil which help to tame frizz and thus making the hair more manageable. The nice thing about this conditioner is that it doesn’t make the hair look oily or heavy, just as long as you don’t put way too much of it on the strands. This conditioner also has a nice scent just like the shampoo above which you can discern as a blend of moisturizing oils. The thing I love about this the most is how easy it is to brush my hair whenever I use this conditioner.

Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil Shampoo

Bottom line, my hair could have been going through a lot of breakage by now if it wasn’t for this Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil haircare line. I love to grow my hair long and it does require some maintenance to keep the strands looking healthy and shiny but without looking too heavy and oily at the same time, especially because my hair is on the fine/straight type. Also, with the daily environmental stresses and lifestyle activities that could potentially affect the health of our hair, I believe we all need a haircare line that can help in restoring and keeping the moisture of our hair, and the Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser’s is very good at delivering that.

The Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Shampoo + Conditioner are currently available at Sephora, Walmart, Nordstrom, Overstock, Space NK, Bluemercury, Bloomingdale’s, Ulta, Liberty London, andย Saks Off Fifth,ย

Kรฉrastase Aura Botanica Review

Kรฉrastase Aura Botanica

Hey Friends! Letโ€™s talk about hair care this time, shall we? Iโ€™m a longtime fan of Kรฉrastase hair care products, especially the Bain Fluidealiste Smooth-in-Motion Shampoo & Conditioner, reviewed HERE. Those are really good at controlling frizz even on a hot and humid weather. Recently, I received an email advertisement of one of Kรฉrastase new products, the all-natural Aura Botanica. Itโ€™s meant to be sulfate-free, no parabens and no silicones. The ingredients are handpicked and responsibly sourced, like Samoan Coconut and Moroccan Argan Oil. The goal is towards light and naturally glowy hair. Sounds really promising, especially the fact that itโ€™s Sulfate-free since my hair has been processed before. Itโ€™s always good to use hair care products that are sans sulfates if your hair has been permed, rebonded, relaxed or even colored so as not to strip the hair of its treatments and keeping it revitalized.

Kรฉrastase Aura Botanica Review

My first impressions of the Kรฉrastase Aura Botanica products were somewhat mixed. A lot of people liked it, while a lot were also a bit slightly critical about it. The scent is interesting in this hair care line. Itโ€™s smells like a floral musky perfume with some herbs. Itโ€™s not bad, in fact, itโ€™s a unique change that sets it apart from the scents of most hair care products, but there could be a possibility that you might get bored or annoyed with the scent in the long run.

Packaging comes standard like most Kรฉrastase hair products. They also come in travel sizes, though I wish they also come in pump containers for easy dispensing. Depending on the size, they can be pricey, but Kรฉrastase is always like that. They usually send in some decent size samples to try as well.

For this review, I have the Kรฉrastase Aura Botanica Shampoo and Conditioner.

Aura Botanica Bain Micellaire

  • Aura Botanica Bain Micellaire (80 ml: $24, 250 ml: $43) โ€“ Has natural micelles that removes dirt and impurities, leaving the hair lightweight, thoroughly cleaned, and nude to touch. No added oils or coating. Oh well, excited much, I find that I need to use a lot of this product in order to lather my hair well. It foams but not a lot. Pretty much the opposite of Kรฉrastase Bain Fluidealiste Smooth-In-Motion shampoo. Also, my hair felt really dry after rinsing. It kinda felt like it was stripped of all natural oils. Thoroughly cleaned? Yeah, but just a bit too drying for me.

kerastase Aura Botanica Soin Fondamental review

  • Aura Botanica Soin Fondamental (75 ml: $24, 200 ml: $45)โ€“ Meant to provide nutrition and controls frizz for that easy detangling due to its natural oil ingredients. For me, this conditioner is the game changer of the entire Aura Botanica line. It counteracts the dryness of the Bain Micellaire shampoo mentioned above. My hair felt well-moisturized but not heavy. It gives the right amount of volume and bounce, and it doesnโ€™t leave it oily looking the next day. I definitely like this conditioner a lot.

Verdict: I kinda expected more from the Aura Botanica collection. Given its spectacular marketing, ingredients, and price, I thought itโ€™s going to be really amazeballs. However, I love the effect that it did on my hair. True to its promise, my hair was not frizzy, it looked and felt clean, it didnโ€™t feel oily nor heavy and I love the bouncy feeling that it gave to my hair. Yet, I wonder how much of it was partly because of the Soin Fondamental Conditioner? If you find the Bain Micellaire to be also too drying for you yet you still want a sulfate-free Kรฉrastase shampoo, I suggest that you purchase the Bain Fluidealiste Smooth-In-Motion Shampoo and complement it with the Aura Botanica Soin Fondamental Conditioner, just like what Iโ€™m planning to do.
