Polรจne Number Seven/Numero Sept Mini Bag Review

Polรจne Paris Number Seven Grey leather bag review

Hi all. As promised, I am going to review this wonderful purse that Iโ€™ve been using a lot lately. This is probably one of my most favorite purses of all time due to the functionality of the design and the sleekness of the style. The Polรจne Number Seven in mini or commonly known as Numero Sept mini, is the bag Iโ€™m talking about. This may not be very quite known to the general public, but this bag has its admiration in the blogosphere. I love that this bag is unassuming yet classic in cut and design. This can be carried anywhere on any occasion and in any location while maintaining that semi-formal or somewhat dressy vibe. In other words, this bag can elevate your look and style, no matter what you wear.

Polรจne Paris Number Seven Numero Sept Mini

This Polรจne Number Seven is hand-made in Spain (in fact, I got mine straight from Sevilla) and has a golden chain. Mine came in grey textured leather and with suede inner lining. The dimension is about 6.3 inches in height, 6.5 inches in width, and can be expandable up to 4 inches in depth. The shoulder drop is about 18 inches and is non-adjustable. This bag can be worn crossbody or as a top handle. The weight is not too heavy and not too light and can definitely fit several things. On top of that, the design is not inundated with logos, and the price is what I would call โ€œreasonableโ€.

Curious about what can fit inside this bag? See below

Polรจne Paris Number Seven Mini bag review

Louis Vuitton Key Pouch โ€“ This can go perfectly inside the Polรจne Numero Sept in mini. Mine contains my car keys and my home alarm remote.

Shiseido Modern Matte Lipstick in Semi-Nude โ€“ One of my favorite matte lipsticks of all time. I am still obsessed with the Semi-Nude shade and find out why in this link.

Clarins Water Lip Stain โ€“ Just reviewed this amazing and truly staining lip stain. This is a perfect lip product for this pandemic-induced virtual world. Swatched HERE.

iPhone X โ€“ My lifeline, lol.

Rare Beauty Blotting Sheets โ€“ I like the size of these blotting sheets. These are tiny and can definitely fit inside all types of mini purses, especially the Polรจne Number Seven. Read my first impressions of some of Rare Beautyโ€™s products HERE.

YSL Card Cases โ€“ I must admit, I have a serious obsession with these YSL card cases. I donโ€™t think I can ever look at other card cases again after owning these. I find the quality of these card cases to be exceptional and totally durable. Also, the design is very cute and very elegant.

Parker Jotter Pens โ€“ My favorite pen since 12th grade. I love the Parker pens because they are reliable, and they make my handwriting not look like chicken scratches, hahaha.

Curried Myrrh Hildie Reusable Face Mask โ€“ I wanted a mask that will make me look like Karasu in Ghost Fighter (lol, those were the days, and yes, Iโ€™m a big fan of Ghost Fighter too), but I also wanted a reversible and reusable face mask. I stumbled on this eclectic face mask from Curried Myrrh, and I love the design. Itโ€™s like bohemian meets Victorian. The brand has several different styles and colors. You can check them out HERE. This mask is foldable, and the ear loops are adjustable, which can fit perfectly well in the Polรจne Numero Sept mini.

Cat โ€“ not available, and nope, he doesnโ€™t fit in this mini purse, but he wants to bite it, lol.

Bottom line, I love this Polรจne Number Seven/Numero Sept mini. The leather is robust, and the style is simple yet sleek. I carry this purse everywhere, and I also call this as my โ€œfield notesโ€ purse because of the functionality. Therefore, I highly recommend this to all of you. Huda Beauty Power Bullet Matte Lipstick Review + Swatches

Huda Beauty Power Bullet Matte Lipstick swatch

Hello All. Needing a new matte lipstick this Fall? Here’s a lipstick I couldn’t wait to review. The Huda Beauty Power Bullet Matte Lipstick (25 USD) is a deeply pigmented matte lipstick with a magnetic square packaging and a diamond-shaped tip. It has a slight coconut scent and it comes in different shade collections: The Icon collection, The Rose Collection, and the Throwback Collection. Most of the shades are mostly named after a woman’s or anybody’s important period/stages in life, which are very interesting and totally relatable.

Huda Beauty Power Bullet Matte Lipstick

At first glance, this lipstick slightly reminded me of the Giorgio Armani Rouge D’Armani Matte (reviewed and swatched HERE) especially texture-wise, but I will tell you later whether this really is on par with the amazing Rouge D’armani Matte. What I can tell you is that this particular lipstick glides on the lips easily and it feels light. Once applied, it almost has no shine and it’s completely matte. It is probably one of the most insanely pigmented matte lipsticks I’ve ever tried, and the range of colors available “seem” to be quite diverse. Let’s take a look.

Here are 6 shades taken from all three collections.

Huda Beauty Power Bullet Matte Lipstick

First Kiss – deep rose mauve, very similar to Wedding Day, but has a more rosy tone.

Graduation Day – very deep brown-mauve, appears dark brown in most lighting. On my skin tone, this looks too ashy and ghastly.

Interview – medium rose nude, looks like this could work in almost all skin tone. On my skin, this looks like an everyday nude.

Pay Day – very deep mauve, think purple+magenta mix.

Rendezvous – muted pink rose with a coral tone. On my skin, this looks too coral/neon-ish.

Wedding Day – also a deep rose mauve, very similar to First Kiss, but has a more mauve tone.

This lipstick is giving me mixed feelings. I had high hopes about it at first, but then there are a few things about this that I didn’t quite like. First of all, the colors are quite difficult to photograph because some of them look very similar to each other, and they do change tones depending on your natural lip color. What I noticed is that this also changes shade once it warms up on the skin. Second thing, if you twist the lipstick all the way up, you’ll notice that there’s not really much product in its matte tube. It looks like you’re only getting half a lipstick when compared to most full-sized ones. It’s just housed in a large square packaging. Third, the swatches online are quite different when compared to the shades in real life. In reality, the colors appear darker, extremely pigmented, and most of them are on the deep brown and purple spectrum. I had a hard time finding the right shades for my light-medium skin tone, and if you have a fair to light complexion, there may not be enough shades that could match you. But, if you’re medium to deep, then you will most probably love this lipstick line. I also would like to think that this lipstick and its shades are probably meant for Fall, so that might be it.

In comparison to the Rouge D’Armani Matte, I find this lipstick to be quite drying as opposed to the lightweight moisturizing feel of the D’Armani Matte. If you ask me what are some of my favorite matte lipsticks out there, I can tell you that apart from the Armani ones, you can look into the Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet (seen HERE) or the Velvet Extreme (reviewed HERE). I also love the Shiseido Modern Matte Powder Lipstickย for its very lightweight feel and outstanding pigment (HERE).

So, overall, though this lipstick doesn’t feel heavy, this does feel quite drying on the lips. However, I don’t have a problem with its lasting power or its quality at all. It lasts about 4-6 hours plus on me, and though it transfers, the color still stays on the lips. My beef with this is the color scheme, which is kind of a bummer because I had really high hopes of this lipstick. I do hope that there will be lighter/brighter color options in the future for this particular lip product, and also, I hope that this will even be comfier on the lips.

Shiseido VisionAiry Gel Lipstick Review + Swatches

Shiseido VisionAiry Gel Lipstick review

Hello you. A couple of weeks ago, I featured the Shiseido VisionAiry Gel Lipstick (0.05 oz: 26 USD) in one of my Insta Story when I happened to roam around inside Sephora. I’ve always wanted to try that lipstick especially after having a good reviewย of the Shiseido Modern Matte Powder (link HERE). If you’ve read that particular post before, then you’d know by now that I have a serious appreciation for Shiseido lip products and lip colors. While I haven’t tried them all, I do think that Shiseido’s lipsticks are the type that really needs to be in everyone’s holy grail list, despite being quite underrated here in the US.

Shiseido VisionAiry Gel Lipstick swatch and review

Since being on my radar for a couple of months now, I was pretty sure that the VisionAiry Lipstick is going to be quite different from the Modern Matte Lipstick but all the while still be very interesting to try. I was also quite certain that the quality and lasting power of it will be just as good if not better than the Modern Matte, which is the type that you’d typically expect from Shiseido’s very good quality of lipsticks.

Shiseido VisionAiry Gel Lipstick

I remember losing one shade of my Modern Matte Powder Lipstick collection during one of my trips and I felt really bad about it, so I ended up replenishing the shade I lost and collected even a few more colors since then. Yep, once you find the right lipstick/lip color, it’s always a good practice to have a backup just in case it gets discontinued in the future. By the way, the Shiseido Modern Matte Lipstick I lost is the shade 506 Disrobed, it’s a beautiful perfect nude rose for light-medium skintone that looks really nice during the Spring and Summer. My other fave shade from this Shiseido lipstick line is the 508 Semi Nude.

The Shiseido VisionAiry Gel Lipstick has a very similar packaging to the Allure Best of Beauty Winner 2018 Modern Matte Powder Lipstick, only that it’s on the slimmer side, and it’s also not magnetic compared to the Modern Matte. It doesn’t have any scent and the shades are mostly full-coverage at just one swipe, although some of the lighter ones may need to be swiped a few times in order to get the coverage you want. Upon initial application, I find the lipstick to be extremely weightless, super light, and yes it does feel very airy. It’s basically like a very lightweight gel lipstick that feels like nothing on the lips. It’s an interesting lipstick to look at because it looks very soft and it melts easily on the lips right after a few swipes. For me, it feels too soft and too buttery once it comes in contact with my skin, however, this lipstick did not melt when I took it out in the sun. Its similar texture and feel remind me of the YSL Volupte Shine (reviewed HERE) but that’s not the only thing. I wasn’t quite sure what the finish of this lipstick is going to be. A lot of folks mentioned that it’s going to be satiny, but at first swipe, it actually looks quite glossy.

Rose Muse – dusty rose

Night Rose – vintage rose

Streaming Mauve – rose plum

After 15-20 minutes, this lipstick sets into something completely different than what I thought it would be. It transforms into a satin matte lip color that looks more diffused, blotted, and soft-focused, kind of like the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Lips (seen HERE) in that effect, which honestly looks really really nice. It does feel a bit sticky on the lips, the kind that will remind you of most matte liquid lipsticks and it does transfer quite a bit. But since it’s very pigmented, the color stays mostly on the lips and on me, it lasts about 4-6 hours without reapplication.

The following swatches below show the first few minutes right after the application, followed by several minutes that passed after application. You can see how the texture of this lipstick changed from being glossy to being matte.

There are several shades to choose from this weightless Shiseido lipstick line and I would love to get more of them in the future. When compared to the Modern Matte Powder lipsticks, I think I like them both. If you prefer a weightless lip color with the finish of a very pigmented liquid matte lipstick, then you might like the VisionAiry Gel Lipstick. For an overall high-quality and long-lasting matte lipstick, I highly recommend the Shiseido Modern Matte.
