The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter “Diagon Alley” Universal Studios Florida

Work, work, work, work, work, see me do mi, dirt, dirt, dirt, dirt, dirt…Oh hi there! it’s me Riri, ūüôā LOL! Tamagotchi is still stuck in Epcot, hahaha…

if you wanna read my review about the “other Harry Potter” theme park or Universal’s Island of Adventure The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Hogsmeade, you can read it here.

As I told ya, I was about to¬†cross to Universal Studios Florida using the Hogwarts Express to see Harry Pottah Potter’s Diagonally Diagon Alley, and let me tell you, it was really impressive. The design of each building, with its unique¬†architecture and engineering will really put you in Harry Potter’s world. It’s so haunting and quirky that you can tell everyone’s really thrilled to be there.

There’s just a few thing I didn’t like. First, being on a Tuesday afternoon, it was really crowded, with a capital C! it’s not as crowded as Universal’s Island of Adventure Hogsmeade, but this particular park is still quite excruciating to walk around. The streets are too narrow and the stores are so tiny, you’re literally walking sideways so as not to bump on other people’s arm. Like Hogsmeade, this park has definitely been reaching its maximum occupancy. Second, I didn’t like that they were selling/promoting a lot of replica wands, or should I say, magic wands. Yeah I know a¬†visit to Harry Potter won’t be complete without brandishing a wand or that Harry Potter won’t be Harry Potter without his magic wand, but I can definitely tell you that you’re gonna be fine without buying those hyped magic wands. They’re everywhere! kids pointing at things using the wand, saying some magic words then voila! something moves, lights magically turn on. Well, for all I know, they’re just preprogrammed/timed moving objects that Universal plotted to entertain the kids. For kiddos, yeah, it’s fun, but if you’re not a kid anymore, well, just forget about it. Plus they’re quite expensive, specially if you’re buying the interactive wand. ¬†Third, don’t even get me started on ¬† Harry Potter’s graduation costume..

If you ask me which ones I like between Universal’s Island of Adventure “Hogsmeade or Universal Studios Florida “Diagon Alley?” Well, personally, I kinda like Diagon Alley more. Simply because there’s more things to see and I like the building’s design, better. Also, it seems like there’s a lot more things to do here.

FYI: This place is kinda hard to find. If you’re entering Universal Studios Florida for the first time, well, keep walking and keep looking for a weird hidden alley towards your left. It’s gonna be dark and dingy-looking, but that’s the beauty of it. Also, if you want to buy those replica magic wands, they’re available just around there, practically everywhere, and you can use them for both parks.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter “Hogsmeade.” Universal’s Island of Adventure.

Hello World and Hello Hairy Peter Harry Potter Fans! They said, when you’re in Florida, you gotta do it like you’re in Florida. Not just by speaking or understanding Spanish, like Hablo Espanol? but also visiting the usual suspects places that Florida is known for, like being in¬†Orlando.

Anybody that visited Orlando must have surely been to Universal Studios Island of Adventure . You know, the other Universal park? the one where Harry Potter’s Hogsmeade is located. For those who didn’t know or for those who’s never been there, Universal Studios Orlando has two theme parks, one is Universal Studios Florida and the other one is Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. They both have thrilling rides and picturesque scenes. You can buy a ticket for both parks to visit only for 1 day or you can also buy tickets for 2 days and the third one is free. You can even opt for 1 day 1 park only. Please refer to universalorlando.com for more information on multi-day tickets.

Since I only had a few days of vacation, I decided to go with the 1-day park to park ticket. Which means that I can basically crossover from one park to the other on the same day. I did that so I could see both Harry Potter themes. I’ve heard people saying that the only nice things to see at Universal’s are actually the Harry Potter ones. That might be true. But I also liked the “Poseidon” theme, and “Sinbad perhaps. What I find annoying is Universal’s intentional purpose of putting one Harry Potter attraction in each theme park. They could’ve placed both attractions in one theme park you know, and people could’ve paid for just one park only. But yeah, it’s all about the B…for Business.

The tickets are really expensive, and there were lots of people. Huge crowds that couldn’t even¬†pass through¬†because they all wanna see the Harry Potter area. I realize that these themes alone attracts the most people and it looks like they¬†were not designed to handle that much crowd. ¬†I admit that they were well-designed, and you’ll really feel like you’re in Harry Potter’s world, but damn, it was a hot and humid 94 degrees F and massive amounts of people were everywhere. Some have weird magic wands and some looked like they just graduated from “dunno-what” degree. ūüôā they were just really hard-core Harry Potter fans who wanted to dress like him or like the other characters.

Oh did I forget to mention that if you’re gonna spend 1 day only in both parks, then you might as well skip the rides/shows? because I swear, their rides are mostly dizzying and they almost have a 1-hour interval before each shows starts. Perhaps I’ve gotten¬†too old for theme parks and such, hmmm…your mama hate them rollercoasters!¬†

Anyhow, here’s a pictionary review of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Universal’s Island of Adventure “Hogshead.” Enjoy… (I’m about to cross to Universal Studios Florida using the Hogwarts Express to see the Diagon Alley, stay tuned…)
