Yankee Candle Review Part 4

yankee candles reviews

Whaddup Yankee Candle fans! It’s been a gloomy day and what better way to spend the day by lighting one of our favorite Yankee candles, right? but before we start with this fourth leg of my continuous Yankee Candle review, please take a look at part 3.

yankee candle review balsam cedar

Yankee Candle Balsam & Cedar – My most favorite Yankee Candle of all, and perhaps everyone’s favorite and Yankee Candle’s best selling candle of all time. This is just amazing, I literally bought them in the biggest size possible. This scent is so wonderful and so balanced that you’re gonna keep on wanting to sniff this over and over again. It has all the evergreens in it, like balsam, cedar woods, and juniper with some slight fresh berry and forest-like scent. It also has herbs, citrus, sandalwood, musk and vanilla. It’s like the perfect and pleasant sensory-overload. You know what else is great about this? the scent lasts a long time that you don’t even need to burn this. It can stand as a room fragrance alone, and it’s never boring. It’s also great for any season. I. LOVE. IT. SO. MUCH.

yankee candle review coastal waters

Yankee Candle Coastal Waters – This particular candle smells like water and soap. Like a clean fresh shirt, actually reminiscent of your clothes that came out of the washer, mixed with some fabric softener scent. It’s not like fresh cotton, just a clean, freshly washed cloth. It smells cool and pleasant, like a cool “soapy” ocean spray after swimming and tumbling in the waters.

yankee candle tree house memories

Yankee Candle Treehouse Memories – This is like the other cousin of Yankee Candle’s Mountain Lodge. However, this is more pleasant, I think. It has a warm, autumnal, sweet and earthy scent. It’s slightly musky but has more spices. It great for changing seasons, like when the leaves are about to fall and the weather gets cooler. This is my second most favorite Yankee Candle of all times. Sadly, they’re almost out of stock everywhere and Yankee candle doesn’t sell them anymore.

yankee candle island spa review

Yankee Candle Island Spa – This scent is very pleasing to the senses. There’s something sweet about it, but not too sweet that it’s yuck. It smells a bit citrusy with some sweet mandarins in it, yet fresh like the pacific ocean breeze. Perhaps because it also has the lemon verbena, which keeps it cool and relaxing, like having a nice and soothing spa surrounded by deep dark blue seas and white sands. Wink, wink, just look at the picture above and close your eyes.

yankee candle sun and sand review

Yankee Candle Sun and Sand – It smells like sand with a bit of perfume. As to exactly what perfume? I can’t pinpoint the brand for sure, but the kind that has musk in it. Like a perfumey sand with something else, like a bit of citrus mixed with lavender and some fruity flowery scent. It’s still quite slightly musky more than anything else though.

Arent’ these candles gorgeous? Stay tuned for more Yankee Candles review, coming soon…

The Yankee Candle Review Part 3

Hey There Spider! How ya doin’? Ya doin’ how?…This is part 3 of my never-ending Yankee Candle review. Check out part 1 here and part 2 here, as well…

So you know the story already, I lurve Yankee Candles and I love that they have a ton of scents to choose from. They’re great for aromatherapy, especially if you’re feeling under the weather. They’re also great for warming up those cold winter months, and they’re even more great for burning down your house, LOL that’s if you hadn’t filled it up with soot already. 🙂

yankee candle review

yankee candle green grass review

Yankee Candle Green Grass – This is for the allergy sufferers out there, joke! A candle that smells like fresh cut grass by a lawnmower? yeah, girl, Yankee Candle has it. Dunno why, I got curious, so I bought it. It does smell like fresh cut grass, or should I say fresh cut ragweed! Oh, I can already smell the pollens! Lol. The scent never fades, so if you miss those hot summer days while trying to mow your lawn, get this. Or if you’re an allergy sufferer and you confined yourself inside your house, this might satisfy your need for outside adventure. I don’t think there’s an allergen in here frankly. So go and smell the roses green grass!

yankee mountain lodge

Yankee Candle Mountain Lodge – This was already in my Yankee Candle Review Part 1, but that was a votive sampler which I also loved very much that I bought a tumbler size. This has sage and cedarwood in it. It smells very manly, like a man’s perfume, but you can only smell it if you put your nose close to it. It’s strong but it doesn’t permeate. I love this for cozy winter months.

yankee pink sands

Yankee Candle Pink Sands – I don’t care about the scent as long as it’s Pink. That’s what went through my head when I purchased this. It turns out that this is one of Yankee Candle’s bestseller. It is said to be a beautiful mix of bright citrus, sweet florals, and spicy vanilla. Well, I didn’t smell the bright citrus in there, and the vanilla is not spicy either. There’s not even a sand scent. I only smell a sweet floral-ish vanilla, but it’s a nice sweet scent, not overpowering, it’s just pleasant and subtle. I guess that’s why people love it so much. Whether it’s dark sand, white sand, blue sand, glitter sand, rainbow sand, or pink sand, this one’s a keeper.

yankee mistletoe

Yankee Candle Mistletoe – I hunted this for some time since this was seasonal, but nowadays, it’s back in stock. Of all the 4 candles reviewed here, this one’s my favorite and is very special because I love pine scents. This candle has a strong pine/mistletoe scent that is a good alternative to Yankee Candle’s Best Selling Candle Ever, the Balsam Cedar, which happens to be my most favorite scent of all Yankee Candles. There’s just something about those pine scents. They bring warmth and gives that cozy feeling during those cold winter nights.

If you have been reading this site, you already know that I love Yankee candles. If you haven’t read part 1 of my Yankee candle review, please read it here.

yankee candle

So, let’s get this candle obsession going, read on.

yankee candle cranberry chutney review

Cranberry Chutney – Yeah I know this votive sampler’s shape looks funny. LOL. Let’s just concentrate on the smell here, ok? 🙂 It’s one of those another “used and abused” candle because the scent is just wonderful and delicious. It smells like pure cooked sweet cranberry relish. If only I could eat this thing.

yankee candle golden sands review

Golden Sands – This one has a mild scent to it. I really don’t think that it smells like sands, even more so as golden. It has light a sandalwood scent. Reminds me of the fresh morning orchids back in the Pacific. Something beachy and summery.

yankee candle juicy watermelon review

Juicy Watermelon – Ohhhh, this one smells sooooo juicy and sweet. Like watermelon with tons of sugar. Just the smell of this can you diabetic (joke). Take note “watermelon” not cantaloupe. That one is pale, this one is pink, including the candle. Oh, I just love the fresh pink color of this thing. It’s gonna be used, abused and overused soon.

yankee candle mandarin cranberry review

Mandarin Cranberry – I can’t quite well understand the smell of this. Perhaps my nose is blocked or I’m already saturated with all these scented candles hallucinations going on. I’m pretty sure there’s mandarin in there, obviously, the label says it 🙂 but it’s a different kind of mandarin, it seems kinda burned with the spice kind of mandarin. I also smell a light cranberry there too, but not so much so. I love it though, it has a nice warm scent to it.

yankee candle pink dragon fruit review

Pink Dragon Fruit – It’s not so much the scent, it’s more like the pretty pastel pink color that attracted me to this one. I love pinks, dunno why. The scent is a very mild dragon fruit. What is a dragon fruit, by the way? you know that fruit that looks like a giant pink strawberry fireball with a somewhat cookies n’ cream filling/meat on the inside? Yeah! that one! I bet you have no freakin’ idea. Me too. 🙂 They’re commonly found in Asia, specifically South East Asia.

yankee candle pomegranate cider review

Pomegranate Cider – This one got the name and scent right! It’s really a cider made out of Pom. I think it’s a perfect blend of not so saturating and cloying scent of most scented candles and the barely-noticed-does-that-even-have-a-scent-at-all kind of candles. I love this and I think it’s great for winter.

yankee candle vineyard review

Vineyard – The color of this votive sampler is very intriguing. When I first got it, it was violet. After quite some time, and perhaps being exposed near the sun, the color changed to violet-yellow. I’ve heard very good reviews of the scent of this thing. It’s actually not that strong, but not too mild either. It has a bubblegum grapes scent which I also love.
