Hello World and Hello
Hairy Peter Harry Potter Fans! They said, when you’re in Florida, you gotta do it like you’re in Florida. Not just by speaking or understanding Spanish, like Hablo Espanol? but also visiting the usual suspects places that Florida is known for, like being in Orlando.
Anybody that visited Orlando must have surely been to Universal Studios Island of Adventure . You know, the other Universal park? the one where Harry Potter’s Hogsmeade is located. For those who didn’t know or for those who’s never been there, Universal Studios Orlando has two theme parks, one is Universal Studios Florida and the other one is Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. They both have thrilling rides and picturesque scenes. You can buy a ticket for both parks to visit only for 1 day or you can also buy tickets for 2 days and the third one is free. You can even opt for 1 day 1 park only. Please refer to universalorlando.com for more information on multi-day tickets.
Since I only had a few days of vacation, I decided to go with the 1-day park to park ticket. Which means that I can basically crossover from one park to the other on the same day. I did that so I could see both Harry Potter themes. I’ve heard people saying that the only nice things to see at Universal’s are actually the Harry Potter ones. That might be true. But I also liked the “Poseidon” theme, and “Sinbad perhaps. What I find annoying is Universal’s intentional purpose of putting one Harry Potter attraction in each theme park. They could’ve placed both attractions in one theme park you know, and people could’ve paid for just one park only. But yeah, it’s all about the B…for Business.
The tickets are really expensive, and there were lots of people. Huge crowds that couldn’t even pass through because they all wanna see the Harry Potter area. I realize that these themes alone attracts the most people and it looks like they were not designed to handle that much crowd. I admit that they were well-designed, and you’ll really feel like you’re in Harry Potter’s world, but damn, it was a hot and humid 94 degrees F and massive amounts of people were everywhere. Some have weird magic wands and some looked like they just graduated from “dunno-what” degree. 🙂 they were just really hard-core Harry Potter fans who wanted to dress like him or like the other characters.
Oh did I forget to mention that if you’re gonna spend 1 day only in both parks, then you might as well skip the rides/shows? because I swear, their rides are mostly dizzying and they almost have a 1-hour interval before each shows starts. Perhaps I’ve gotten too old for theme parks and such, hmmm…your mama hate them rollercoasters!
Anyhow, here’s a pictionary review of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Universal’s Island of Adventure “Hogshead.” Enjoy… (I’m about to cross to Universal Studios Florida using the Hogwarts Express to see the Diagon Alley, stay tuned…)
