Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil Review

urbandecay247eyepencil

Happy Holidays Everyone! Hope y’all are having a great time this holiday season. Speaking of holidays, who wouldn’t want some dramatic holiday eyes? For a long time, I’ve been wanting to update my collection of eyeliners, and I’ve decided to level up my eye drama game by adding some colorful eyeliners in my stash.

I’ve always wanted to try Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils because they seem like a huge favorite in Sephora, both in stores and online. To see what the fuss was all about, I decided to try them in store and guess what? Another love at first swipe. ๐Ÿ™‚ and I was no longer puzzled why these UD 24/7 Glide-On Eyeliners gainedย so much love.

These eye pencils apply smoothly and they don’t budge once set because they’re waterproof. Their soft and creamy consistency allow for a more precise application and can be easily corrected or blended. They’re also extremely pigmented and can be great for creating a natural to dramatic smoky eye look. Most importantly, they come in vast array of colors, I mean vast! totally vast! you want dark brown? medium brown? light brown? gray brown? brown with shimmer? mattes? name it, they have it! OMG, me likey already! ๐Ÿ™‚

So, for a preliminary addition to my stash, I added the shades that I’ll need for eye contouring and highlighting, like:

I also had my eye on Heartless (light frosted pink), but that’s for the next episodeย of my Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil hoarding. Hmmp!

Verdict: These are amazing eyeliners that work like super expensive designer eyeliners (Hello Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof) but for a fraction of the price. I can’t say anything bad about these eyeliners because for me, they’re almost perfect, except that, you’re gonna need to carry a sharpener with you at all times. ๐Ÿ™‚

Enjoy your holidays everyone!

Eylure False Eyelashes Review

Whaddup All! I’d like to do a quick review of these cute and useful false eyelashes that I took with me on my latest trip. I cannot describe how much I love these inexpensive and natural-looking falsies. All I know is that these falsies always travel with me whenever I go on an extended trip and I need to look my best. Not my exaggerated best, but just normal and natural best, LOL. Whatever that means, but yeah, give way for Eylure Natural 020 Fake Eyelashes. Yeah, they’re fake, but they make your eye makeup game look fabulous yet stillย natural, at least in effect.

I used to be a fan of Ardell Babies Black, well, I still am, but I find those to be slightly thinner, weaker, and trickier to apply than most falsies. These Eylure 020s are firmer and these feel quite sturdier than Ardell’s, though both give a natural effect on the eyes. I cannot speak for the adhesives that came with these because I’ve always been loyal to theย Duo adhesiveย for falsies and it has never failed me.

If you have hooded eyes, you may want to curl your lashes very well before applying these Eylure 020 falsiesย as these seem to have been already “well-curled”, so you want to make these look well-blended with your natural uncurled lashes once applied. You may or may not apply mascara right after. But, either way, both will still give a natural look.

I got these falsies HEREย and I hope that you give this a try.

That’s it for now guys.

Lorac PRO Palette Review

Greetings All! I am back from outer space! more details to come as I recover from a massive jetlag ๐Ÿ™‚ Anyhow, today, I’d like to talk about this amazing eyeshadow palette that I took with me on a short notice trip to Mars. I bet you all know what is, it’s the Lorac Pro Palette. I know a lot of you swear by this, even more so than Urban Decay’s Naked Palettes. Well, I’ll give you my 2 cent comparison in this review.

First of all, I am in love with the color selection of this palette. They all seemed very versatile and very wearable. I also like that this has the most matte textures of eyeshadows in a palette. Now, don’t get me wrong, I do love shimmers, but there’s a point where I feel like I need to be able to adjust my eye makeup game from day to night or from natural to all glammed up. Second, the pigment baby. The pigment of this palette is to die for. I love how one swipe can make all the difference and each shade is oh so buildable. I can definitely create a natural daytime look with this like a pro, and then transition to a more dramatic look at night.

Even though this palette has a lot of matte shades, there are also 8 shimmery shades that complement each matte eyeshadows. They are not overly glittery and the shades are just about as natural as the mattes. There are 16 shades in total for this particular palette.

Aside from the gorgeous array of colors to choose from and the incredible pigmentation of this Lorac Pro Palette, the last thing I really love about this is the ease of application. Each shadow goes on smoothly like velvet, and on top of that, they are extremely long-lasting. They never smudged on me all throughout the day. I also noticed that my best eye makeup happens whenever I use this specific palette. Oh yeah, you bet! ย ๐Ÿ™‚

Comparison to Urban Decay Naked Palettes: A lot of people raved the Lorac Pro Palette for being well-pigmented that they almost find it to be similar to Nars Eyeshadows which are also known to possess such strong pigments for its eye makeup. Well, for me, that is definitely true, and I really really like my eyeshadows to be strongly pigmented as well. That also explains my liking for Nars eyeshades. However, when it comes to comparing this Lorac Pro Palette to the popular Urban Decay Naked Palettes (1,2,3 & Smoky), to be honest, I was a bit surprised that I actually enjoy using this Lorac Pro more than the UD Naked Palettes. Something about UD’s pigmentation that didn’t seem to materialize well on my skin. They also feel a bit drying and slightly harder to blend than the Lorac Pro Palette, which can be applied wet or dry. Also, there’s not a lot of matte shades in the Naked Palettes, yet each of their palette always comes with a nice eyeshadow brush.

So, have you tried the eyeshadow palettes mentioned above? Which ones suit your fancy?

Stay tuned for more reviews and photos from my latest jet lag-inducing trip and adventure. LOL.
