Dior Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer Powder Review & Swatches

Hey Friends! Have you been stalking the Sephora website lately? The Beauty Insider Event is still going on, but not for long though. It’s going to be just until tomorrow, so better check your wish list before it’s too late. But anyway, the holidays are coming and for sure there will be some deals here and there. Who wouldn’t want to treat ourselves once in a while? Here’s a Dior beauty you may wanna try while taking advantage of the beauty sales that’s been happening lately.

I’m a huge highlighter junkie and mind you, the highlighter trend saga is here to stay for a very long time, and it’s just going to get better. I know everybody wants that glow from within even if it’s chilly and gloomy outside, so here’s the highlighter that I’m so in love with lately – the Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer (0.21 oz for $56). Every time I’m at Sephora, I always spot them and test them on my arms. Just that gorgeous glow really made my heart skip a bit, lol. But I was a bit put off because of the price, after all, it’s Dior.

Anyways, when the first Sephora VIB Rouge Sale came, just about a week ago, I decided on two colors of these that I think would look really great on my skin. Since then, I’ve been using these non-stop, day and night.

001 Nude Glow – A very natural and universally-flattering shade. I believe this is the shade to have if you’re just planning to get one of these Dior Nude Air Luminizers. Also, it works really well for any skin tone, so you can’t go wrong with this golden-pearl natural soft shimmer.

002 Pink Glow – A nice pearly pink shimmer if you have a fair to light or light to medium skin tone. My complexion really pulled this off, and I tend to use this if I wanted a bit more glow than the natural Nude Glow Luminizer above.

The two shades that I don’t have are the; 003 Golden Glow, which is a Midas touch kind of gold shimmer, and the 004 Bronzed Glow, which is a true bronze shimmer and a lot darker than my skintone.

Don’t expect a blinding highlight effect from these. No, you’re not going to cause a traffic accident, just a soft natural lit-from-within kind of look. You can pretty much use any brush to apply these, but I love the mini kabuki brush that came with these compacts. It’s so soft and it really hugs the shape of my cheeks. Sometimes, I even use Rihanna’s Fenty Cheek-Hugging Highlight Brush (reviewed HERE) to get a more dramatic effect out of these highlighters. Speaking of the packaging, each compact is neatly packed and it comes with a free velvet pouch for storing, aside from the cute mini kabuki brush that works wonders.

Compared to other popular highlighters out there, I’d say, these Diorskin Nude Air Luminizers are definitely up there in the ranks of the top must-have highlighters. If you compare it to Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighters (reviewed and swatched HERE), I feel like the Dior Nude Air Luminizers are even way softer and has a very natural sheer effect. The Becca’s are really buildable for that dramatic glow, while the Dior’s are great for that everyday natural dewy look. When compared to theย Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder, hmmm, hard to tell, I feel like both are pretty much the same in terms of their sheerness and natural soft glow effect. But anyway, whichever you’ll try of all these, I’m pretty sure you’re going to like the way you look. I guarantee it ๐Ÿ™‚

Stay glowy my friends!

The Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer is available at Sephora, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Lord & Taylor, Dillard’s, Selfridges, Harrod’s, Orchard Mile & JC Penney

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter Review + Swatches

Hey All! Hope you’re having a great time wherever you are. Here’s another highlighter post (as if we don’t have enough highlighters already, LOL) that will remind you of just how difficult it is to avoid purchasing any highlighting product at all. Yes, it’s true. When it comes to highlighters, we’re all a sucker for them, ain’t that right? Especially if they’re really good, and especially if they’re from Becca.

I’ve always wanted to collect a few highlighters from Becca, especially the original Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighters (0.28 oz: $38) because they’re simply one of the best highlighters in the market nowadays. I’ve heard and read so many good reviews about the Shimmering Skin Perfectors and I’ve also tried their Becca x Jaclyn Hill blush/highlighter compact collab (read here), as well as the Chrissy Teigen Glow Face Palette (also here). Both are really good products and I really love them a lot.

Becca makes beautiful highlighters. The kind that’s made to last, well-pigmented, and with less fall out. They also made them with beautiful easy to wear combination of colors/shimmers that will suit any complexion. The Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighters are not like most highlighters out there. These are silky and somewhat creamy powdery highlighters that are so fine yet so reflective and shiny. They give the perfect shimmer and highlight to the face, and they’re easy to blend and easy to layer. With all that, these are also easy to apply with just a moderate dab of a fan brush. It gives a naturally luminous glow that’s sure to last for a long long time.

All the shades swatched for this review are really gorgeous. I love them all and I think they’re very versatile. I could think of several different occasions as to where I could wear them. I didn’t purchase the Pearl shade, as I think it’s a pretty dupable shade. I also didn’t purchase the Champagne Pop shade because I already have the Jaclyn Hill collab compact which contains the Champagne Pop and Flowerchild duo, but it will be swatched below. For me, Opal is the best and most beautiful shade for my skin tone. I love that it has the right amount of pink and gold shimmer with some pearl in it. Next to Opal is Champagne Pop, which is very similar to Opal, you couldn’t almost tell the difference between the two, except that Opal is just slightly rosier or a bit more muted that Champagne Pop, while the latter is more of a light golden pink.

Moonstone – Pearl with a bit of Gold

Opal – Soft Pearl with soft gold and muted pinkish peach shimmer.ย Universally Flattering

Prosecco Pop – Golden Shimmer

Rose Gold – Warm golden peachy pink rose

Aside from Opal and Champagne Pop, I also love Moonstone, especially if I wanna go “all shimmer and don’t care” kind of vibe. Prosecco Pop is more like pure Mida’s Gold in your face kind of thing, while Rose Gold can double as a shimmery blush or on top of a bronzer.

These Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighters are truly beautiful beyond words. A lot of people have mentioned that the formula of these is by far the best, even compared to the ones that Becca had released with their different collaborations from different Influencers. If you’re gonna have just one highlighter in the world, I truly recommend any of these, as there won’t be any regrets.

Oh, I can’t wait to review the Becca Light Chaser Highlighters. Coming soon…
