Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long-Lasting Eyeliner

Hello Folks! Just want to share with you this beautiful eyeliner from Chanel that Iโ€™ve been currently obsessing because I just love its lasting power and its overall performance and formulation. Itโ€™s the Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long-Lasting Eyeliner. They come in different shades, but I fell in love with the Pomme De Pin shade, which is a muted black shade with a hint of brown.

The eyelinerโ€™s formula is waterproof and could last for hours! The packaging is in the usual Chanel Stylo design, which is an easy twist and apply maneuver. It also comes with a built-in sharpener at the base. This eyeliner glides on smoothly and is buildable. You can definitely customize the intensity of your eye makeup with this one.

This is definitely going to be in my Holy Grail list because this eyeliner is reliable and it works like a charm. It also doesnโ€™t budge. Probably itโ€™s one of the best eyeliners ever made by Chanel.

Chanel Rouge Allure Ink Matte Liquid Lip Colour Review

chanel rouge allure ink matte liquid lip colour

I have too many matte liquid lipsticks! โ€“ said No One. ๐Ÿ™‚  Well, that is so true, indeed. Matte liquid lipsticks are everywhere! Seems like every brands are making their very own version of matte liquid lipsticks. Hmm, what do you know, Chanel didnโ€™t wanna get left behind, so, enter my current matte liquid lipstick favorite, the Chanel Rouge Allure Ink Matte Liquid Lip Colour. Iโ€™m so excited to review this because Iโ€™m so curious to find out whether a high end matte liquid lipstick would outshine the current and popular mid-brands of matte liquid lipsticks, or not.

Much to my surprise, when I was picking up the shades, I was having a bit of a hard time because most of the shades donโ€™t seem to match well with my skin tone. I have an NC3-35 skin tone and a Beige 30 in most Chanel foundations for the record. Most of the shades in this Rouge Allure Ink Matte Liquid Lip Colours are on the bright reds, which Iโ€™m not really a fan of because my skin tends to complement with the vampy or dark muted hues.

Eventually, I settled with these two colors, the Chanel Rouge Allure Ink Matte in 150 Luxuriant and 154 Experimente. These are almost the darkest shades of all the Rouge Allure Ink Matte Lip Colour. With respect to their formulations, theyโ€™re definitely matte in texture and they dry fast like most matte liquid lipsticks. They almost donโ€™t have any discerning scent and they are extremely pigmented. I get about a good 5 to 6 hours of wear on these, and they also leave a slight stain on my outer lips thereafter. The brush applicator feels strong and robust, though the overall packaging is quite small compared to most matte liquid lipsticks. I like that itโ€™s made of thick hard glass, but not heavy. Overall, the packaging is nice, simple yet luxurious.

150 Luxuriant: A slightly bright and deep fuchsia with bluish undertone. Itโ€™s extremely pigmented and super creamy. The formula takes about a full minute to dry and is very staining, but can be easily cleaned.

154 Experimente: The darkest of all the Chanel Rouge Allure Ink Matte shades, and my most favorite as well. Itโ€™s a dark vampy red which dries immediately upon application and is also crazily pigmented and has a creamy texture. It tends to get clumpy if you apply too much, so go easy on this. Itโ€™s a beautiful shade for medium to dark skin tones.

As you can see in the photo above, the Chanel Rouge Allure Ink Matte Liquid Lip Colourโ€™s packaging is quite tiny. For its price, I wish it came with a bigger tube which means more product. However, these lippies would fit very well in your purse, and they look really luxurious. Compared to most matte liquid lipsticks that are so popular out there, I think these ones are a good contender. They are true to what they are supposed to be, a matte liquid lipstick, but theyโ€™re not drying like most matte liquid lipsticks, and at the same time,  theyโ€™re well pigmented and long lasting.

If youโ€™re interested with these lippies, you can buy it HERE.

Thanks for your time guys, until next timeโ€ฆ

Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet Vs Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua

Bonjour! Today, letโ€™s talk about two of my holiest grail foundations. I bet theyโ€™re everyoneโ€™s favorite foundations too. Theyโ€™re both made by Chanel. The Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet (now known as Ultra Le Teint Velvet) and the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua. Such complicated names, but with such amazing quality. Theyโ€™re both โ€œlighter versionsโ€ of Chanelโ€™s two best-selling makeup foundation and both have SPF 15.

Whatโ€™s the difference between the two? In some sense, theyโ€™re both really similar, even the ingredients are similar, but theyโ€™re made for different purposes.

chanel vitalumiere aqua review

Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet (Ultra Le Teint Velvet) โ€“ This gives a soft velvety matte finish, that is very lightweight and oil-free. Supposed to be a โ€œtint versionโ€ of Chanelโ€™s long-wear fluid sunscreen foundation, the Perfection Lumiere. So expect this one to be also long-lasting like its predecessor. This one also gives full coverage, but not as full and thick as Chanelโ€™s Perfection Lumiere. I consider this as my go-to foundation if I want to completely โ€œchange faceโ€, ha! well, not completely, but good enough to make my face look blemish-free and anew. What I love about this is that you donโ€™t need to put a lot on your face to get that full coverage. You donโ€™t even need a special brush for this. Your fingertips will work just fine. Also, most matte foundations tend to make your face look flat, but this one doesnโ€™t. It still gives your face definition while smoothing and covering the dark spots. A slight drawback is that youโ€™re going be needing a lot of cotton balls or cotton pads to erase this product off your face. Even though itโ€™s liquid and lightweight. It seems to be packed on pigments. When it comes to scent, this foundation has a slightly soapy scent compared to Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua. Overall, I think this is the best matte makeup foundation that will still make your face look natural, and they last around 12 hours on my face without looking oily. As someone with somewhat oily skin, this one is definitely heaven-sent.

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua โ€“ The lighter version of Chanelโ€™s original and well-loved Vitalumiere. This is supposed to give a very light tint with a water-like texture. Although, I find that this formulation is very similar to Perfection Lumiere Velvet. Theyโ€™re both very watery and have very similar scents. Perhaps this Vitalumiere Aqua has a little bit more of a floral scent. I prefer this foundationโ€™s scent better than the one mentioned above. When it comes to coverage, at first I didnโ€™t notice any difference. However, after a few hours, I noticed that my skin started to look oily compared to the one applied with Chanelโ€™s Perfection Lumiere Velvet. For me, they last about 6 hours until I start to notice the oiliness. But I really like the look on my skin with this particular foundation. It kind of makes my skin look dewy or slightly luminous. So, if youโ€™re going for that kind of look, try this foundation.

Overall, if you want a matte finish foundation without looking dull and flat, plus long-wearing and has exceptional oil-control, try the Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet. If you want a more natural, dewy, strobing kind of look, and has average to really good oil control, try Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua.
