Charlotte Tilbury Look of Love and Tinted Love Collection Review + Swatches

Halu there! Happy warm summer days. Some of the latest Charlotte Tilbury collections are beaming with love and beauty. Their latest Look of Love palettes are gorgeous, and so are the Tinted Love Lip and Cheek Tints. These collections are well-done, and if you are not a fan of the Tilbury makeup yet, well, these might help you change your mind :-). Personally, I love all their matte revolution lipsticks, or should I say, anything “matte” from CTilbury. I also love their all-in-one face palettes because they are so convenient to use. It is like that palette where everything you need to look bee-you-ti-ful is right there in one gorgeous compact.

So, let us see what beauties we will discover in these “full of love” collections.

Look of Love Collection:

Matte Revolution Lipstick: Same formula as the famous CTilbury matte lipsticks.

Wedding Belles – Rosebud pink. This color looks a shade deeper than the Pillow Talk matte revolution lipstick. The photos and swatches shown online, both from Sephora and CTilbury’s site, do not actually capture this lipstick’s actual color. I would call this a slightly rosy, warm, medium, everyday nude lipstick. Complicated eh?

Mrs. Kisses – Golden peach. I am not sure if this shade can be truly described as a golden peach. I would say that this is more of a vintage medium rose, which has a very similar tone to the Wedding Belles shades above, especially when swatched on my arm. On the lips, and in reality, this lipstick is a shade deeper than Wedding Belles.

Instant Look in a Palette, Pretty Blushed – Gorgeous everyday palette in which you can never go wrong with each shade. This particular palette will work best for those with fair to medium skin tone. For those with very warm or deeper skin tones, the Glowing Beauty is the best option. There are seven shades in this palette: 3 for the eyes, 3 for the face, and 1 for the cheeks. I love the setting powder (No. 7) and the cheek shade, along with the highlighter (No.5 shade). For the eyeshadow, you can play and combine the shades, and they will still look good on the lids.

Tinted Love Collection:

Lip and Cheek Tint: Can be used on the lips or the cheeks, or both. The formula is very fluid and tends to set quickly. Some shades can be slightly streaky when applied to the lips. No transfer or smudging noticed. CTilbury is not kidding on the staying power of these. The colors stayed on the following day.

Santa Euphoria – Nude brown. This shade is almost non-existent on my lips but looks great on my cheeks. As a lipstick, this would be fitting for those with fair to light skintone.

Petal Pink – Soft rosebud pink. I thought this shade would also not show on my lips. But, I am surprised by how it softly shows, almost like an everyday natural rosy lip color. On the cheeks, this gives a nice healthy flush.

Bohemian Kiss – Peachy brown. I like this color a lot. It fits well for anybody with a warm medium skintone, and will probably look more like a nude shade for those with deeper complexions. I think this might be the color I will constantly use among all of the shades in the Tinted Love Lip/Cheek Tint collection, especially as a lipstick.

Tripping on Love – Cherry red. I am not exactly sure if this color can be described as cherry red. An overripe cherry red for sure, but not a bright freshly-picked cherry. Surprisingly, I love this shade a lot because this belongs to my favorite spectrum of red lipsticks — the wine reds. I recommend this in the Fall as a lipstick.

Lots of heart eyes for these Charlotte Tilbury collections. I love everything, and I highly recommend them. Having at least one of the all-in-one face palettes is a good investment. The same is true for the Lip and Cheek Tint. And if mattes are your go-tos, try any of their matte revolution lipsticks.

Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Blushes Review + Swatches

The Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Blush (0.28 oz: 40 USD) is a very popular blush that a lot of people swear by, myself included. There is something about the quality of each compact and the shade range that seem to make the blush work very well on each and everyone’s cheekbones. On top of that, the aesthetic of the compact looks very elegant, even though its packaging design isn’t the most ergonomic. The whole look of it is just simply stunning and it’s the type of blush you would want to apply on your cheeks all the time.

The Cheek to Chic blush is very easy to use and each compact has two shades. One is a center shade that is meant to emphasize and color the cheeks, while the outer shade is meant to contour and sculpt the cheekbones. All you have to do to apply is to swish the outer shade across the cheeks and then apply the inner shade for a multidimensional look. Personally, whenever I apply this, I pretty much just swirl both the shades together especially when I’m in a hurry and I’d still get the same depth or effect more or less.

Most of the shades I’ve tried from this particular blush are really well-pigmented and at the same time very buildable and blendable. They really make your cheeks look beautiful and glowy, especially if you find the right tones that complement your skin. For quite some time, the Ecstasy and the Love Glow compacts have been my constant favorites even though a lot of the Cheek to Chic blush shades also look very nice on my skintone. Then the latest Pillow Talk Intense came and it’s also very very good.

Ecstasy – peach pink, adds a nice peachy coral glow for light to medium skintone. Reminds me a lot of the Nars Orgasm blush.

Love Glow – pink with surrounding glowy peach, for those who love a dolly pink blush with some hints of peach.

Pillow Talk Intense – deep rosy pink with very subtle glow, as what I’ve mentioned when I reviewed the new Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Collection (seen here), don’t be dissuaded by the deep tones of this blush. This gives a nice warm berry pink tone that seems to contour the cheeks especially when you’re lighthanded with your application. The original Pillow Talk blush is way too light for my skintone, but this intense version is a perfect blusher for Fall.

I would describe the Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic blush as very similar to Hourglass’, Bobbi Brown’s and Nars’. The type that is finely-milled, super soft, and most of the shades are very beautiful and very wearable. Definitely worth trying and collecting.

Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Collection Review + Swatches

If you’re a big fan of Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk lip shades, then you will most likely fall in love with her newest Pillow Talk Collection which now includes a blush, a highlighter, lip liners, and lipsticks (among other things) that are deeper in tones than the original Pillow Talk color.

I feel like this collection is an answer and a dream come true to those who had mixed feelings or couldn’t make up their mind about the original Pillow Talk shade. I, for one, could not work the Matte Revolution lipstick in Pillow Talk at first because it kind of made me look washed out, and the Matte Revolution’s formula wasn’t very long-wearing on me. But, ever since the lockdown, my skin had lightened a bit and for some reason, the original Pillow Talk shade seems to now complement my skintone. Also, I don’t know if it’s just me, but the latest Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks especially the matte ones seem to be quite long-lasting on my lips now. Hmmm, so, did I just received a bad batch in the past? Well, anyway, in this review, I will be showing you some swatches of my top picks in this newest Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk collection which are mostly lip products, by the way. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the Instant Pillow Talk Eyeshadow Palette because I think the shades weren’t so good for me. I find them to have lots of pinks and reds, however, it’s one big gorgeous palette.

Cheek to Chic Blush in Pillow Talk Intense (0.28 oz: 40 USD) – Described as deep rosy pink, this newest Charlotte Tilbury blush may look deep but this is actually easy to work on the cheeks because the texture is so fine and so easy to build and blend. This gives a beautiful rosy brownish mauvy glow that really defines the cheekbones. I like to swirl the outer shade along with the middle shade to have a more subdued effect when using this blush. I also feel like I could double this as a bronzer or as a contour because this shade is very versatile and also very pigmented, and speaking of versatile, this blush could be used for any season, for sure.

Lip Cheat Lip Liner in Pillow Talk (0.04 oz: 22 USD) – I always love this original pink nude Pillow Talk lip liner because this glides very well on the lips and this stays on for hours. This has a nice creamy texture that doesn’t feel dry. Also, this shade works very well with almost all of my lipsticks, so I always repurchase this, but I should have and will definitely try the Pillow Talk Medium soon. I do recommend this, and I think that if you’re looking for a good versatile lip liner shade, then you may like this one a lot.

Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk & Pillow Talk Medium (0.12 oz: 34 USD) – My favorite Charlotte Tilbury lipstick finish is definitely the Matte Revolution and with the addition of this newest Pillow Talk Medium which has a warm berry pink tone, well, I think I definitely like this more than the original Pillow Talk which is a pinkish nude shade, even though that one is starting to grow on me. This shade is what I’ve been waiting for from Charlotte Tilbury and this works really well for my light-medium skintone.

K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Pillow Talk Intense (0.12 oz: 34 USD) – If matte’s not your thing, then you most likely have preferred this satin finish lipstick which has a nice moisturizing effect on the lips, and this isn’t very shiny or overly sticky, which I love. In fact, I love a lot of shades from this line, but this newest Pillow Talk Intense shade which is a deep berry rose is a beautiful step up and a great addition not only to this line but to the whole Pillow Talk collection as well. This shade may be too intense for Spring and Summer, but this will be very perfect for Fall and Winter.
