Kรฉrastase Haircare Favorites

Kรฉrastase lately is the Ciment Thermique Resistance Blow-Dry Primer for Damaged Hair

Hello everyone. Happy Friyay and happy weekend soon. It’s been a while since I talked about my all-time favorite haircare brand – Kรฉrastase. For me, Kรฉrastase is my ride-or-die haircare brand. Regardless of what my day is going to be or what the situation may call for, this brand always seems to nail my hair goals. I find their products to be reliable and they really deliver in solving your haircare needs. However, Kรฉrastase is a high-end haircare brand where not all of their products are made of natural clean ingredients and only a few are Sulfate-free.

Speaking of Sulfates. I try to avoid using haircare products that have Sulfates in them because even though Sulfate cleanses your hair thoroughly, it can also strip the natural oils from your strands and scalp, which can make them very dry in the long run. Also, it’s not advisable to use Sulfates on chemically processed or color-treated hair for the same reason that Sulfates are really stripping.

There are only a few Kรฉrastase products that I love, but I love them very much nonetheless. They are mostly Sulfate-free.

Kerastase Discipline Sulfate-Free Smoothing Shampoo & Cleansing Conditioner

Discipline Sulfate-Free Smoothing Shampoo & Cleansing Conditioner – These are the first-ever Kรฉrastase products I’ve ever tried years ago, and they’re still my faves nowadays. These are what you’d call hydrating and moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, and they definitely make your hair frizz-free, soft, and super manageable. The shampoo itself feels light and it lathers very well with just one drop. It leaves a moisturized feel after rinsing. The conditioner is very lightweight yet very moisturizing at the same time. It does have a distinctive scent that is pretty hard to describe, but it’s not heady or anything like that. What I really like about this duo is that this really makes the hair look relaxed even on hot and humid days. I would say that these are perfect for any hair types, but also especially for those with dry or damaged hair, and of course for those with chemically-processed, colored, permed, or treated hair.

Kerastase Reflection Sulfate-Free Shampoo

Another great Sulfate-free product from Kรฉrastase is the Reflection line. This line is geared towards color-treated hair. I especially love the Reflection Sulfate-Free Shampoo and it has a very interesting light floral scent. I find the consistency of it to be not as thick as the Discipline line above, yet it still delivers maximum hydration. Since it’s designed for color-treated hair, it aims to preserve color, add shine, and vibrance. So, take note, if you color your hair, this will work very well for you.

Kรฉrastase Aura Botanica Shampoo

For weekly cleansing, I use the Kรฉrastase Aura Botanica Shampoo. This is a very lightweight Sulfate-free cleansing shampoo that has Micellar Water as one of its main ingredients. I don’t think this shampoo is meant for those with dry hair since this can be a little too drying for everyday use. It is made of clean and natural ingredients though and it’s definitely gentle. However, I would say that this is more suitable for once or twice a week use/cleansing only because this can remove impurities and product build-up from the strands, but the Micellar ingredient of this might be too drying for some.

Products not mentioned here that I also love from Kรฉrastase is the Discipline Oleo-Relax Anti-Frizz Oil Serum. This lightweight dry hair oil can actually tame the frizz ASAP even with just a minute amount. I love using this on hot and humid days and it smells wonderful. I’ve read that this is also one of Jared Leto’s haircare faves. Now, judging from Jared’s/Jordan Catalano’s mane, he surely does have an amazing crowning glory.

Another product that I seem to love from Kรฉrastase lately is the Ciment Thermique Resistance Blow-Dry Primer for Damaged Hair. I received a sample of this and even though I’m still currently investigating this product, I have nothing but good impressions so far. The scent of this is a lovely fruity one and it doesn’t weigh the hair down. I love that this protects the hair from constant heat styling (up to 450ยฐF), and this also controls frizz and reduces breakage. Will talk more about this product soon once I’m done testing it.

kerastase review

That’s it for my favorite Kรฉrastase products of all time guys. I don’t think I will be adding more to this roundup unless Kรฉrastase will come up with something extraordinary or perhaps will launch another Sulfate-free line. For now, I’m very satisfied with these haircare products and I highly recommend them.

Pantene Micellar Shampoo & Conditioner Review

Pantene Micellar Conditioner Gentle Moisturizing Milk, Pantene Micellar Shampoo Gentle Cleansing Water

I’ve been a fan of Pantene hair care products since my childhood years and even nowadays it’s still one of my go-to brands for hair care products that actually work and with such affordable price tags. I was so excited when they released their Micellar Collection and was determined to try them as soon as possible. I’ve been testing their Micellar Shampoo and Conditioner and I am so impressed! For such low price points, these breakthrough hair care collection from Pantene is totally worth the try. If you love using Micellar Water to remove your makeup because it’s mild and it can remove impurities from the skin without drying it, then you’re gonna love this particular collection of Micellar haircare.

Pantene Micellar Shampoo Gentle Cleansing Water

Micellar Shampoo Gentle Cleansing Water (10.1 oz: $5.99, 17.9 oz: $9.99)

This Micellar Shampoo lathers well and it has a nice light floral scent. The consistency is very much like a clear lightweight gel, and it is nutrient-infused with antioxidants. It has no parabens, dyes or silicones, and most importantly, this shampoo is gentle for daily use and it doesn’t dry the hair nor strip it of its natural moisture. This is great for any hair types, but also especially great for oily hair. For me, personally, I use this as a clarifying/cleansing shampoo in conjunction with my moisturizing shampoo. Though I also use this daily from time to time and noticed that this is actually gentle on my hair without any dryness noticed. I love this shampoo a lot since this thoroughly cleanses every strand of my mane and since it’s gel-like, it’s doesn’t leave any weight to my hair.

Pantene Micellar Collection Review

Micellar Conditioner Gentle Moisturizing Milk (10.1 oz: $5.99, 17.9 oz: $9.99)

This Micellar Conditioner also has a light clean floral scent like the Micellar Shampoo, but this has a creamy formulation. Even though it’s creamy, it still feels a lot lighter than most conditioners I’ve tried, and it’s also nutrient and antioxidant-infused. There are no harsh ingredients like parabens or dyes and that means this conditioner conditions hair gently while removing extra oils and impurities from the hair. I love how this leaves my hair looking well-cleaned, tamed and conditioned without making it heavy or oily, and for that, my hair still looks clean, bouncy and non-greasy even for the next day.

Pantene Micellar Conditioner Gentle Moisturizing Milk

If you love mild hair care products that cleanse the hair thoroughly from root to tips without the dryness, then I definitely recommend this Pantene Micellar Shampoo and Conditioner. These get a thumbs up for me. Not only are these gentle for everyday use, but these also make the hair look bouncy volumized and also, these smell great. On top of that, each bottle comes in an easy-to-dispense pump and with an affordable price tag. For those reasons, I recommend this Pantene Micellar Collection.

I will be investigating their Charcoal Collection as well and will update you guys pretty soon.

The Pantene Micellar Collection is currently available at Target, Amazon, and in most groceries/drugstores everywhere.

Natural Clean Haircare with Briogeo

Briogeo Haircare

Hey There! Summer’s really here at full force and my hair has been taking a lot of beating lately with all the heat and humidity. It gets oily rather easily not just with the extra leave-in products I’ve been putting on my it, but also due to the extremes of temperatures both inside my house and the outside elements, not to mention the dust and sweat that mixes in. It’s so annoying, and I find myself constantly washing my hair and making sure that it doesn’t get so oily. So far, my haircare products of choice have been holding up well and lately, I discovered some products that seem to solve my hair issues this season – The latest Briogeo Be Gentle Be Kind Superfoods ($48) which I use in conjunction with the classic Briogeo Donโ€™t Despair, Repair! Super Moisture Shampoo ($36) and the Rosarco Repair Conditioner ($24). You might be wondering, what’s the difference with each of them? and Why do I use them alternately? Oh, there’s a lot to love with these haircare products.

Briogeo Rosarco Repair Conditioner

Let’s first talk about the Don’t Despair, Repair! Super Moisture Shampoo (16 oz: $36). It’s the first Briogeo haircare product I purchased and I really love it. I like its milky fruity coconut-ish scent and it’s really a moisturizing shampoo that won’t weigh your hair down. Its consistency is not thick and it feels really good on the hair. It lathers well and it’s mild to use every day. I also like that it’s nourishing to the hair and it prevents further damage. It’s a great lightweight hydrating shampoo for those who’ve had chemical treatments done on their hair, and also, I really like the fact that it comes in a large easy-to-dispense container which makes it easy and practical for me to use and I feel like I’m getting my money’s worth. Next up is the Rosarco Repair Conditioner (8 oz: $24) which was on my wishlist for some time and I’m really glad that I purchased it because just like the Don’t Despair, Repair Shampoo, this conditioner smells great! You could sense the blend of Argan, Rose, and Coconut in this conditioner and it also delivers and restores moisture to the hair without making it oily or heavy. My hair feels smooth and soft with this and I feel like this is such a good everyday hair conditioner for any hair type. It can even make my hair withstand a moderate intensity of heat and humidity without using any leave-in treatments.

I could have stopped there and just be completely satisfied with those two Clean-certified Briogeo haircare products above, but with the release of the new Briogeo Be Gentle Be Kind Superfoods Hair Pack $48 ($56 value), I feel like I’ve got to try it because it also has the Clean seal from Sephora and I’ve been loving some clean haircare products lately especially the ones made by Briogeo. Another reason I wanted to try this pack (or you can purchase the shampoo and conditioner separately) is the fact that the packaging looks cute and who doesn’t love an apple-scented shampoo and conditioner? This haircare pack looks fresh and yummy and I wanted in on my hair. LOL

Briogeo Be Gentle Be Kind Matcha + Apple Replenishing Superfood Shampoo

When I first tried the Be Gentle Be Kind Matcha + Apple Replenishing Superfood Shampoo (12.5 oz: $28) I was blown away by how good it smells. And yeah, it really does smell like green apple and it has a lightweight consistency, almost like a gel. It cleanses my hair very well without adding any weight. I was actually quite worried that it might leave my hair dry, but nope, it just cleanses it well and it cleanses thoroughly. I love the fact that it’s six free, which means there are no harsh silicons, parabens, etc., and it’s also cruelty-free. The same is true with the Be Gentle Be Kind Kale + Apple Replenishing Superfood Conditioner (12.5 oz: $28) which also has a strong yummy green apple scent. This conditioner feels creamy and it delivers moisture to the hair without making it too hydrated, oily, or heavy no matter how much I put on it. It’s nice to know that it’s rich in vitamins and antioxidants which is really a big help for the hair especially at this season and it’s great for protecting the hair from breakage while nourishing it deep to the strands.

If you ask me if there’s a big difference among the Briogeo Clean haircare products reviewed above, I think that the difference is subtle but it matters a lot as to what you want in a haircare product. Personally, I feel like if I’m gonna be staying indoor with a strong AC blasting constantly on my hair, I’m definitely gonna be using the Don’t Despair, Repair Shampoo, along with the Rosarco Conditioner just to keep the moisture on my hair. But if I’m gonna be out and about running errands and walking under the sun, then I’ll reach out for the Be Gentle Be Kind Superfoods Haircare.

Overall, I definitely recommend these Briogeo Haircare products and I think they’re great for cleaning the hair every day without being harsh. Check out my hair below. (P.S. I definitely need a haircut, I know, LOL…)
