FabFitFun Winter 2019 Box

Vera Mona Color Switch Solo

One of the things I look forward to during the Winter is to receive my FabFitFun Winter Box. This season, there are several items that are really interesting and are really useful for me and for you guys as well. Also, this season’s box is really pretty and as always very well-designed. So let’s take a look at what I got this time.

R+Co Television Perfect Hair Shampoo+Conditioner review

R+Co Television Perfect Hair Shampoo+Conditioner (64 USD) – This haircare is really good and it smells nice. The scent and quality overall reminded me of Alterna haircare. This is my first time trying this brand and it’s really good so far. I love that this shampoo lathers easily and you don’t need to use a lot. This duo softens my hair, and it adds shine and volume without weighing it down.

Ban.do Bluetooth Shower Speaker

Ban.do Bluetooth Shower Speaker (30 USD) – This is probably the most fun item in this season’s FFF box. This speaker looks so cute, it’s water-resistant, and it has a nice sound quality. Its suction holds well and it’s very easy to pair with your device. It makes showering really fun.

Paper Source 12 Month Rose Floral Planner (27.95 USD) – I love this planner because it’s really light, and it has monthly and weekend views, plus it has ample space for me to write. On top of that, it doesn’t look very cluttered, unlike some planners.

Makeup Eraser in Original Pink (20 USD) – I was skeptical about this at first, but this super soft towel really works to remove all sorts of makeup. It saves cotton pads, so it’s overall very economical to use, and also very easy to clean.

Drybar Prep Rally Prime & Prep Detangler

Vera Mona Color Switch Solo (16.99 USD) – I’ve always wanted to have a product like this so I could clean my brush instantly, and be able to switch from one makeup shade to another without rinsing or wiping my brush with a wet cloth or wipes. This really saves me time and so far, it hasn’t pulled any strand out of my brushes.

Drybar Prep Rally Prime & Prep Detangler (23 USD) – This bottle looks so pretty and it truly detangles the hair easily, making it more manageable to brush. This also protects the hair from heat styling for up to 450 ยฐ F. The only beef I have with this is that the scent can be too strong.

Rodial Soft Focus Glow Drops

Rodial Soft Focus Glow Drops (55 USD) – This is another one of my faves from this season’s box. I love the gorgeous bottle of this and its very pretty pinkish glow. This smells really nice (fruity) and it gives a subtle glow on the face. This can be used as a primer or can be mixed with your favorite foundation. This also reminds me of those Farsรกli products.

Inc. Redible NailsInc Thirsty Hand Mask Duo

Inc. Redible NailsInc Thirsty Hand Mask Duo (16 USD) – This hand mask feels really incredible on the hands since it’s very softening. It smells like pine and something else that awaken the senses. This has the same scent as the Sephora Mud Mask which I love. To use: you just have to put this on like gloves, and you can still do other things while using this, like doing chores, type on your phone, etc.

Overall, this Winter’s FFF box is definitely one of my faves so far. I love all the products I got.

FabFitFun Spring 2019 Box

fabfitfun spring box

Heya, it’s that time again! I got my Spring 2019 FabFitFun box and we will be scrutinizing each and every product inside it. I was able to customize I think three of the items that were sent to me and I couldn’t be happier with my choices. Immediately upon receiving the box, I put the products to test and here are my thoughts.

Ouai Leave-In Conditioner

Dr. Brandt No More Baggage Eye De-Puffing Gel (0.5 oz: $42) – I didn’t quite know what to expect from this undereye product. I just thought this was some kind of a typical eye cream, but nope, it’s actually not. This is a lightweight gel that goes on the undereyes smoothly and it dries like a mask, which gives a tightening feel on the skin. It does depuff eye bags immediately and it has a salmon shade to color correct dark circles. I was a bit worried that this might dry my undereyes but actually, it didn’t, even after putting concealer on top of it. I think the best way to prevent dryness from using this is to use an eye cream underneath. So far, I really love this and I find this product to be unique. It’s very useful for a quick no-eye bag fix and can be worn alone, day or night.

Dr. Brandt Needles No More No More Baggage Eye De-Puffing Gel

Tula Purifying Face Cleanser (6.7 oz: $28) – This is a very thick gel face cleanser that smells a bit like a haircare (shampoo) but it’s not bad. This also has probiotic ingredients and it’s gentle on the skin. It’s very softening and it didn’t leave my skin dry. I love that this comes in a large tube which means I could use this for some time.

Ouai Leave-In Conditioner (4.7 oz: $26) – This is one of my favorite items from this Spring’s box. I didn’t quite expect this product actually, but I know I’m loving Ouai haircare recently and this is a nice addition to my collection. I find the scent of this to be somewhat familiar, but I just don’t know what it is. It’s like an old-world perfume that dissipates fast and it’s actually quite nice. This is a multitasking leave-in conditioner that really reduced my frizzies and flyaways right after misting it on my damp hair. It didn’t really add any volume, but it did help to keep my strands tame, smooth, and I love that it can also act as a heat protectant.

Manna Kadar Champagne Charcoal Body Scrub

Manna Kadar Champagne Charcoal Body Scrub (400 ml: $24) – This charcoal body scrub smells like fresh peaches and it has dead sea minerals as one of its ingredients. The packaging of this is quite large and like with most charcoal body scrubs, you can expect a thorough exfoliation from using this.

Show Me Your Mumu Brie Robe, Quay Australia My Girl Sunglasses in Black/Smoke

Quay Australia My Girl Sunglasses in Black/Smoke ($55) – This was one of the items that I was able to choose for my customization options. I was really thrilled because I’ve been wanting to get these sunnies for a long time and I really love its oversized cat-eye shape. For my face, this looks perfect and it’s really chic and edgy at the same time.

Show Me Your Mumu Brie Robe ($84) – A colorful flowery robe that gives such a Summer-ready vibe. It’s got a detachable belt and a high-low hem which may be a bit long on me, but it’s really functional and versatile to use, be it for lounging around, after the shower, or even at night. Pronounced as myumyuuo perhaps? (Muumuu – loose Hawaiian dress). I may or may not have heard about this brand before (such interesting name) but I do know Momo Challenge, and I know they’re not the same, LOL. Pardon my ignorance guys…

The2Bandits Athens Necklace

The2Bandits Athens Necklace ($30) – This is a very dainty necklace with a simple rectangular iridescent pendant. It’s perfect for a minimalist look or for layering with some of the other necklaces you own.

Giadzy Copper Plated Measuring Spoons

Giadzy Copper Plated Measuring Spoons ($15) – I also got these rose-colored measuring spoons as one of the options for customization. I find these to be quite chic and I’m excited to use and feature these on my next cooking blog post. These can be cleaned handwash only.

Overall. I love love love my FFF Spring 2019 box. I think it’s well-curated, and the items I got are all very useful. Most of them are the ones I wanted, while some are also trending right now. I’m definitely going to be using the products a lot, and of course, since they’re always in full-sizes, they’ll last for some time. As always, don’t forget to repurpose your FabFitFun Box. Mine became a kitty lounge ๐Ÿ™‚

FabFitFun Fall 2018 Box Review

fabfitfun fall 2018 box contents reviewFall is coming and I’ve got a subscription box to review and unveil to you guys. As you remember before, I stopped subscribing to Sephora Play and was looking into another exciting subscription box that seemed really promising to me. Well, that box is FabFitFun, which is a seasonal subscription box that not only sends you some beauty and skincare products (Fab, I suppose), they’ll also send you something for “Fit” and for “Fun”, and all the products are in full-sizes and never as samples.

fab fit fun, fabfitfun

Basically, the subscription works by sending you four boxes in a year, one in each season. The products include something that’s meant for beauty, wellness, fitness, and fashion – all curated by the FabFitFun team. The box’s contents which are limited editions, are said to be valued at around $200+. There are two kinds of memberships, the Seasonal and the Annual. For the Seasonal one, you pay $49.99 per box per season and you can see some sneak peeks of what’s coming on your next box, as well as being able to customize a few items. For the Annual membership, which costs $179.99 upfront, you’ll be able to customize your future box further and get early shipping for the boxes. Also, you’ll get $20 instant savings, be able to customize the design of your own box, and have an early access to seasonal add-ons, plus more.

fabfitfun fall 2018 box review

I signed up for the Seasonal membership and I love it! The box is large and pretty and I was able to customize some of the important or desirable products that are going to be on my box. Also, the box had several products in it and they’re really useful for me, plus, I love the fact that they’re all full-sizes and not just samples which are awesome because then I’ll be able to really test the product properly.

Here are the items I got for this Fall’s box.

Skin & Co Roma, Blue in Capri

  1. Cuccio Somatology Yogahhh Detox Bath ($39.95) – These relaxing bath salts will make you feel fab and it’s totally fun. It has a relaxing scent of Eucalyptus that will soothe your skin and your senses, plus, it has a softening effect on the skin.

  1. Simply Whimsical Set of 2 Tea Towels ($14.99) – I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect with these towels, and why I got them or whether they belong to the fab, fit, or fun part. At first, they kinda feel scratchy and quite thin, but I did like their minimalistic design. What’s surprising is that they became so soft right after washing and now they earned a spot in my kitchen.

  1. Clif Bar Luna Rica (Salted Caramel Nut, 12 ct: $16.62) – Definitely meant as a fit product, this nutrition bar really tastes good. It has a nutty and sweet (but not extremely sweet) taste, and it’s kinda filling too.

  1. Grown Alchemist Polishing Facial Exfoliant (75 ml: $67) – This has a nice light rosy herbal scent with a gritty and clayish texture. I love how this mildly exfoliates the dead skin cells off the face and a little bit goes a long way.

  1. Skin & Co Roma, Blue in Capri ($22) – Can be either a body wash or for a bubble bath. The scent of this is very mild, like a watered-down scent of basil and sage with something earthy. This doesn’t really lather much, but it leaves a clean scent after.

Crown Pro 6pc Limited Edition Essentials Syntho Brush Set fabfitfun

  1. Crown Pro 6pc Limited Edition Essentials Syntho Brush Set (Black and Rose: $75) – I had the option of choosing the Vince Camuto Luck Tote over these brushes, but instead, I picked these since I wasn’t really smitten with the look and quality of the said tote. I think I made the right decision because these brushes are soft, versatile, and are sleek.

  1. Glamglow Bubblesheet Oxygenating Deep Cleanse Mask ($9 per mask) – I received two and was really excited to try them since I’ve never really had them before. Much to my surprise, these masks are a lot of fun and they bubble instantly. They’re also super moisturizing and deep pore-cleansing.

  1. Beautyblender (Nude: $20) – I was surprised to see this inside my box and I was really glad because I love beautyblenders and they’re so useful. I use them all the time and it’s nice to have an extra one from FabFitFun.

Cylo Cobra Bluetooth Earbuds fabfitfun

  1. Cylo Cobra Bluetooth Earbuds ($40) – These are really useful and they work by Bluetooth, which makes them convenient to use. I love the fact that they have a strap and their sound quality is pretty good. These would have been perfect though if it wasn’t for the in-line microphone remote/audio hanging heavily on one side. One of my ears is supporting it, and it feels kinda heavy and uncomfortable in the long run.

Alfred Ceramic and Stainless Steel Teapot fabfitfun

  1. Alfred Ceramic and Stainless Steel Teapot ($26) – If you’re a tea drinker, then you’re gonna love this pretty teapot. It has nice metal infuser inside and its overall size is pretty convenient for a quick afternoon tea party.

Some of the brands from this subscription box are quite unfamiliar to me, but it’s nice to know them. While I wasn’t quite certain which products actually belong to the fab, fit, and fun category, I’m pretty sure that I’m getting my money’s worth with this box, and with that being said, I highly recommend that you try this FabFitFun subscription box.
