Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipstick Review + Swatches

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipstick review

I’m so excited to review the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipstick (0.25 oz for $24) which was released just a couple of weeks ago. Like all of us, we’re pretty much anticipating as to when Bite Beauty might finally release their very own liquid lipsticks, especially some matte versions.

When this liquid lipstick first had its preview in Sephora.com, I immediately wanted to purchase one because this lipstick says it has a satiny finish, and I love lipsticks in matte or satin textures. So I ordered a few online without knowing how their colors might turn out to be, and besides, my local Sephora still did not carry them

Upon unboxing, I noticed how nice the tube felt on my hands, it’s velvety, luxe, and soft. The lipstick smells really delish like most Bite Beauty lippies which have a citrusy scent to it. I saw that the formula is really thick that the brush applicator encountered a slight resistance/bounce the moment I inserted it back into the tube. The viscous consistency of this lipstick is a tiny bit sticky and almost like a thick whipped goopy cream. Speaking of the brush applicator, it’s really sturdy and it makes it easy to line and contour the lips.

The Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipstick is probably one of the most highly-pigmented liquid lipsticks I’ve ever tried. The shades are really bold and deeply saturated. It’s also shiny and glossy and it feels like butter on your lips, yet it’s sort of comforting and somewhat lightweight. Compared to its solid counterpart and the original Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick, this Liquified one is even slightly creamier. However, this doesn’t dry down into a matte finish, and in my experience, it took about 4-5 hours for it to somewhat dry into something slightly satiny. This lipstick also transfers a lot, I find my hair strands getting stuck on my lips and it stains glasses as well. But, the colors remained on my lips and it stays there for a long time.

When it comes to its range of colors that were released, I think there’s a lot of interesting shades in this line, although, I feel like a lot of the shades are somewhat gearing towards Fall.

ChutneyRich Mauve. I think this is probably the best shade from this line. It has the right mix of mauve and warm nude that would complement any skin tone. This is also a great everyday shade.

InfuseDark Cherry. Love the richness of wine berry on this shade. It makes any lips look smoldering and irresistible. So bold, so great for Fall.

Demi GlaceChocolate Mauve. I thought this would be more on the dark berry mauve side, but this shade looks a bit too harsh on my light-medium skin tone. A little too much and has a grayish cast. Yet the pigment of this is out of this world.

If you want a comforting and moisturizing lipstick with high-impact colors, then I do think this Bite Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipstick is for you. It’s not only vegan and all-natural, it also has a very good color payoff and it smells yummy. Just don’t expect it to be a matte or satin liquid lipstick. I hope soon Bite Beauty will finally make one.

Have you tried any of these?

Peace Out Acne Healing Dots Review

Breakout much? I found a very interesting acne-fighting product just as I was on my way out of Sephora. I literally had to go back and examine it closer. The product that really caught my attention is the Peace Out Acne Healing Dots ($19), which is basically a waterproof bandage plus Salicylic Acid to combat a pimple, with Aloe Vera to soothe it, and Vitamin A to enhance skin turnover.

Peace Out Acne Healing Dots

There’s about 20 tiny healing dots in the box and you need to stick it on the pimple and wait for 6 hours to see the difference. The dots may be tiny but they adhere very well to the skin. I had a really huge and itchy pimple during the time that I purchased this Acne Healing Dots and I applied it immediately on my skin right after thoroughly cleaning it. They’re super sticky and I felt a tingling sensation at the first few minutes of applying the dots on the pimple. After that, the itchiness has calmed down and the sticky dots did not irritate my skin nor the surrounding area.

Peace Out Acne Healing Dots

You’re supposed to wait 6 hours or overnight to see the difference, but in my experience, even after 4 hours, I already noticed a huge difference. My raging pimple didn’t look so much like in a rage. Instead, it looked less red, less swollen and it didn’t itch anymore. It also feels like it’s being moisturized due to the hydrocolloid properties of the tiny dot bandages, so my pimple felt softer and less inflamed. I also love the fact that the dots are waterproof so it doesn’t allow the bacteria to get in.

I don’t about y’all, but I have a thing for picking my pimples, which I shouldn’t have, but I couldn’t help it. But with this Peace Out Acne Healing Dots, my desire to pick my bumpy breakouts has been curtailed. Thank goodness! Because of that, my pimples healed quickly and nicely without any scarring.

Peace Out Acne Healing Dots

I’ve been looking for a product like this for as long as I can remember. I wanted something that sticks on the pimple and constantly delivers a treatment without the need to apply for further salicylic acid creams or even benzoyl peroxides on the face. These healing dots are like low maintenance treatment where you can just apply it on the breakout then forget it. It’s really practical to have wherever you may be, or even when you’re traveling. It eliminates the need to lug some acne creams and they’re extremely handy for when unpredictable situations like hormonal or stress breakouts may occur.

Samples of The Week: Clinique, Boscia, Bite Beauty, Kate Somerville, Lancome, Miu Miu & Tarte

Happy Friday guys! It’s about time to wrap up some samples and share my first impressions about them. This week, I picked a mini lipstick, a sample of some clay foundations, a hybrid makeup remover, a few basic moisturizers, and a very interesting scent.

bite beauty amuse bouche lipstick beetroot, kate somerville goat milk moisturizer, clinique moisture surge supercharged, miu miu eau de parfum

Shall we begin?

Clinique Moisture Surge Hydrating Supercharged Concentrate

Lancome BI-FACIL Double-Action Eye Makeup Remover (1.7 oz: $15, 4.2 oz: $30, 6.7 oz: $39) – One of the best eye makeup removers I’ve ever tried. It erases my liner like a breeze and there’s not a single sting. I even use it on my face and it saves me a lot of time and effort. It’s also not sticky and it comes in different sizes.

Boscia Charcoal MakeUp Melter Cleansing Oil-Balm (3 oz: $32) – This is a blend of charcoal and oil/balm cleanser that you have to apply on your makeup face and massage it all over to get rid of makeup. It has a strong lavender scent, much like the Boscia Detoxifying Black Cleanser. This product becomes foamy and it really removes all your makeup but you’re going to need a spatula (provided if purchasing the full size) in order to scoop the balm. It’s pretty thick and a bit sticky, my fingers had a hard time grabbing the product. Other than that, this is a good alternative to traditional facial cleansers and makeup removers since this product combines the two.

Clinique Moisture Surge Hydrating Supercharged Concentrate (0.5 oz: $13.50, 1.6 oz: $39) – This a lightweight gel serum or moisturizer with spheres of antioxidants. It has no distinct scent but it hydrates very well. It’s a great hydrator for the summer and my skin absorbs this quickly. Just like most Clinique serums and moisturizers, you can never go wrong with this.

Miu Miu Eau de Parfum (Travel size/0.33 oz: $28, 1 oz: $68, 1.7 oz: $90,ย 3.4 oz: $118) – A fresh floral scent that will surely catch your attention. I thought this was gonna be more of a sweet scent, but this is actually fresh and delightful, like a blend of something earthy and green with a bit of jasmine. It’s also very long lasting and not boring.

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Full Coverage Foundation Spf 15 review swatches

Bite Beauty Multistick (0.17 oz: $24) – Reviewed the papaya shade thoroughly before, found HERE. This is one of the best multi-taskers I’ve ever tried. Almost all the shades from this collection are all good and wearable. It has a velvety texture upon application, and it glides well on the lids, on the cheeks as a blush, and as a lip color. They’re pretty easy to blend and they’re also well-pigmented. The effect is a matte monochromatic trend. I love this.

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Full Coverage Foundation Spf 15 (1.7 oz: $39) – A natural to mattifying finish full-coverage foundation that’s vegan and oil-free. This foundation really covered my redness and blemishes and it’s pretty long-wearing. It feels whipped but lightweight, and it blends into the skin well. I noticed a bit of pilling but they’re blendable and I love that it comes with an added Spf. My face looks flawless with this.

Lancome Energie de Vie Smoothing & Plumping Water-Infused Cream

Kate Somerville Goat Milk Moisturizing Cream (1 oz: $50, 1.7 oz: $65) – This feels like a gentle moisturizer that’s great for sensitive skin or even in any skin type. It has almost no scent but it hydrates the skin well and it’s also very lightweight. There’s a soothing feel to this and it hydrates some dry patches on the face.ย

Lancome Energie de Vie Smoothing & Plumping Water-Infused Cream (1.7 oz: $55) – Another water-infused cream that smells fresh and slightly like citronella. My skin absorbed this lightweight moisturizer immediately and it does have a plumping effect. Overall, this non-greasy cream hydrates the skin excellently and my skin felt soft after using this. The whole Energie de Vie line seems like a very interesting line to try.

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Beetroot (0.15 oz: $26) – Love this deep berry shade. I’m sure we’re all familiar with this lipstick. This line up has one of the boldest well-pigmented lipsticks ever. It’s extremely creamy and buttery soft, and while it does transfer a lot, the pigment stays put on the lips for a long time. I love that it’s made of au-naturel ingredients and the citrusy flavor is a delight. As to how it compares to the newly-released Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipstick? stay tuned, because a review of that particular lineup will be coming soon.

Verdict, I almost love all the samples I’ve tried, but if I have to narrow it down, I think I like the ease of using Lancome BI-FACIL Eye Makeup Remover, the scent of Miu Miu Eau de Parfum, the range of shades from Bite Beauty Multistick and Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation, the high-impact colors of Bite’s Amuse Bouche Lipstick and the hydrating effect of Lancome Energie de Vie Water-Infused Cream.

Have you had samples of these too? Which ones did you like?

T.G.I.F Everybody!
