Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Collection Review + Swatches

If you’re a big fan of Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk lip shades, then you will most likely fall in love with her newest Pillow Talk Collection which now includes a blush, a highlighter, lip liners, and lipsticks (among other things) that are deeper in tones than the original Pillow Talk color.

I feel like this collection is an answer and a dream come true to those who had mixed feelings or couldn’t make up their mind about the original Pillow Talk shade. I, for one, could not work the Matte Revolution lipstick in Pillow Talk at first because it kind of made me look washed out, and the Matte Revolution’s formula wasn’t very long-wearing on me. But, ever since the lockdown, my skin had lightened a bit and for some reason, the original Pillow Talk shade seems to now complement my skintone. Also, I don’t know if it’s just me, but the latest Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks especially the matte ones seem to be quite long-lasting on my lips now. Hmmm, so, did I just received a bad batch in the past? Well, anyway, in this review, I will be showing you some swatches of my top picks in this newest Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk collection which are mostly lip products, by the way. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the Instant Pillow Talk Eyeshadow Palette because I think the shades weren’t so good for me. I find them to have lots of pinks and reds, however, it’s one big gorgeous palette.

Cheek to Chic Blush in Pillow Talk Intense (0.28 oz: 40 USD) – Described as deep rosy pink, this newest Charlotte Tilbury blush may look deep but this is actually easy to work on the cheeks because the texture is so fine and so easy to build and blend. This gives a beautiful rosy brownish mauvy glow that really defines the cheekbones. I like to swirl the outer shade along with the middle shade to have a more subdued effect when using this blush. I also feel like I could double this as a bronzer or as a contour because this shade is very versatile and also very pigmented, and speaking of versatile, this blush could be used for any season, for sure.

Lip Cheat Lip Liner in Pillow Talk (0.04 oz: 22 USD) – I always love this original pink nude Pillow Talk lip liner because this glides very well on the lips and this stays on for hours. This has a nice creamy texture that doesn’t feel dry. Also, this shade works very well with almost all of my lipsticks, so I always repurchase this, but I should have and will definitely try the Pillow Talk Medium soon. I do recommend this, and I think that if you’re looking for a good versatile lip liner shade, then you may like this one a lot.

Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk & Pillow Talk Medium (0.12 oz: 34 USD) – My favorite Charlotte Tilbury lipstick finish is definitely the Matte Revolution and with the addition of this newest Pillow Talk Medium which has a warm berry pink tone, well, I think I definitely like this more than the original Pillow Talk which is a pinkish nude shade, even though that one is starting to grow on me. This shade is what I’ve been waiting for from Charlotte Tilbury and this works really well for my light-medium skintone.

K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Pillow Talk Intense (0.12 oz: 34 USD) – If matte’s not your thing, then you most likely have preferred this satin finish lipstick which has a nice moisturizing effect on the lips, and this isn’t very shiny or overly sticky, which I love. In fact, I love a lot of shades from this line, but this newest Pillow Talk Intense shade which is a deep berry rose is a beautiful step up and a great addition not only to this line but to the whole Pillow Talk collection as well. This shade may be too intense for Spring and Summer, but this will be very perfect for Fall and Winter.

Natasha Denona Bloom Blush & Glow Palette Review + Swatch

Happy holidays! Christmas is almost here and I am definitely feeling the holiday rush. I have been extremely busy lately and had to catch up not only on my personal schedules but also with last-minute gifting. This has got to be one of my busiest Christmases ever. I really can’t wait to relax, chill, and cuddle with my kitties.

I don’t know why, but with all the holiday rush and the chilly temperature, I found myself dreaming of Summer and Spring, lol. I was actually looking for some beauty items as gifts to my dear friends, and I saw a face palette that looked really pretty and very Summer/Spring-like but one that I decided not to have some time ago. However, I regretted not making that purchase soon because I realize that it’s a palette that is so totally worth it. Oh my, nothing haunts us like the things we didn’t buy, lol.

The Natasha Denona Bloom Blush & Glow Palette (0.48 oz: 55 USD) is a beautiful face blush palette that I should have grabbed since the day of its release. Not sure why I was hesitant about this palette before, it must be because of its dark burgundy blush shade that made me feel apprehensive about it. I also remember that I was eyeing the Tan Bronze & Glow Palette more than this palette because I thought that that would be a much better fit for my face and complexion. Well, whatever my reasons were, I’m glad that I finally pulled the trigger on this cruelty-free, paraben-free, and gluten-free palette.

This blush palette contains four shades with two different textures: two creams and two powders. The creams are protected separately by another clear plastic covering. One of the cream blushes looks dark red or very burgundy. It’s called “Cream Blush” and at first, you may find it to be not an ideal blush shade because it definitely looks “too red”. The way to apply it is to dab a little of it on the cheeks since it’s extremely pigmented. It definitely gives a nice doll-like flushed cheeks. One that looks cute not only for Spring and Summer but also for this Winter to combat the paleness. The other cream blush is a slightly luminous peachy shade that looks very wearable especially if you’re into that natural peachy cheeks look.

The two powdery shades look more like a hybrid blush and highlighter. The Glow Extreme is the most blinding one out of all the four shades, and it definitely makes you look glowy and sparkly in a very glamorous way. It feels very fine and smooth to the touch and there’s no fallout. It’s a glowy champagne shade that complements all the other three shades in the palette. It is perfect as both highlighter and blush. Although on my skin, I like to use it as a highlighter. The Duo Glow shade, on the other hand, is a glowy coral champagne that is definitely perfect as a highlighter/blush mixed. This is the shade I like to use to highlight and add a pop of color on my cheeks when I’m in a hurry.

Nothing excites the holidays than giving a nice beauty gift to a beauty lover, and with this chilly season, the Natasha Denona Bloom Blush & Glow Palette is definitely one that will make all of us beauty enthusiasts look forward to several festivities. I highly recommend this palette for its hydrating creamy formulas that are long-lasting, extremely pigmented, and will give you that natural healthy gorgeous glow.

Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter (1 oz: $44) – This is a perfect add-on for your foundation for that subtle lit-from-within glow. This also can be used as a natural-looking highlight for the cheekbones and other high points of the face. Reviewed further HERE.

Briogeo Rosarco Blow Dry Perfection Heat Protectant Crème (4oz: $24) – This is my current favorite heat protectant product and I love that this is not sticky or greasy and it doesn’t weigh my straight hair down. Also, you only need a pea-sized amount and this lasts a long time.

Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Highlighter (0.4 oz: $48) – A perfect fusion of blush and highlighter in one. This adds a nice flush and glow to the face and it’s multifaceted. Highly recommend this to each and everyone. See the swatches HERE.

Tom Ford Eye Defining Pen (0.03 oz: $58) – This is pretty much the only liquid eyeliner that works for me nowadays and it doesn’t disappoint. This eyeliner delivers, meaning – it doesn’t budge, never smudge, and it stays true black in color.

Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm (Mini 1.7 oz: $22, 3.2 oz: $34) – A makeup remover that smells great and it removes any kinds of makeup. There is nothing quite like this and this washes off easily without any residue. Reviewed further HERE.

Origins GinZing Refreshing Scrub Cleanser (5 oz: $20.50) – One of the best-scented facial cleansers ever hands down, and I love its gentle exfoliation. I look forward to using this cleanser everyday because it’s so invigorating. Read more about this product HERE.

Dior Rouge Dior Ultra Rouge Lipstick ($37) – A satiny matte lipstick that delivers strong pigments and can last for several hours. This lipstick is not only gorgeous on the outside, but its formulation is also impressive and it’s one of the best lipsticks I’ve ever tried this season. See some of the swatches HERE.

Josie Maran Whipped Argan Oil Face Butter (1.7 oz: $40) – This a buttery smooth moisturizer that is perfect for this skin-drying season. I love how soft the texture of this cream is and my skin absorbs this easily.

Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Cleanser Daily Foaming Wash (Mini 1.7 oz: $19, Standard 4 oz: $38) – This is my most favorite Kate Somerville facial cleanser and it smells fresh and divine. It is foamy and I love that it has AHA which purifies the pores and this is also gentle enough for everyday use.

Shiseido Modern Matte Powder Lipstick (0.14 oz: $26) – Another favorite matte lipstick of mine this season. I like how light this lipstick feels on the lips and it’s very well-pigmented. Also, this is very long-wearing and the shade range is TDF. See some of the swatches HERE

Wishlist

Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow Contour Duo (0.56 oz: $68) – I’ve been curious about this since seeing this on Candice Swanepoel’s 10 Minute Guide to Fake Natural Makeup in youtube. It looks like a very beautiful bronzer/highlighter duo and I wanna try it in Fair/Medium.

Hourglass Scattered Light Glitter Eye Shadow (0.12 oz: $29) – This individual eyeshadow seems very pigmented and creamy. I heard very good things about it and I’m curious as to how it would wear on me. I love how glittery and bold the colors look online.

Stila Shimmer & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow (0.153 oz: $24) – I already own a few shades of this and I need to collect more. This is an easy to wear liquid eyeshadow that requires a good technique upon application, but once you get the hang of it, you’ll love how easy and nice this looks on the lid and this sets fast but also allows you enough time to blend.

Eve Lom Cleanser (Mini 0.7 oz: $24, also available in several larger sizes) – I’m curious about this particular cleanser and I’ve never tried any Eve Lom skincare products before. Heard it’s very good and lots of people rave about it.

Marc Jacobs O!Mega Glaze All-Over Foil Luminizer (0.35 oz: $49) – This looks like a very stunning and very pigmented highlighter with a very gorgeous packaging. The MJ O!Mega products have been outstanding for me so far.

Pat McGrath Labs Mothership V Eyeshadow Palette in Bronze Seduction ($125) – Out of all the Pat McGrath eyeshadows, this is the one that caught my eye. I find this to be the most cohesive in terms of color scheme, and I believe this is super pigmented. Can’t wait to try it.

Natasha Denona Eyeshadow Palette 5 (5 x 0.08 oz: $48) – I’ve always wanted to try ND’s eyeshadows. They’re so pigmented whenever I swatch them in store, yet I just couldn’t seem to justify the price tag (like Pat McG) but the pigment of these palettes is totally mind-blowing. Not really sure which one I should get though. I’m gearing towards the Camel Palette, Palette #2 and Palette #4.
