Farmacy The Mighties Kit Review

Hi There! You’ve probably heard about Farmacy skincare before, and you’ve probably seen their products at some aisles at Sephora. Well, if you’re looking for some real and natural farm to face skincare products, look no further and take a closer look at the products offered by this particular brand. A good way to get yourself acquainted with their products is to try their bestsellers in a mini version, like in this Farmacy The Mighties Kit ($45).

Farmacy Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask with Echinacea GreenEnvy

I’m no stranger to Farmacy products anymore since I’ve tried some of their stuff before, and my experience has been totally positive. There’s not a lot of “green” skincare products nowadays that truly deliver quality results, while not compromising on clean, safe, non-irritating, and cruelty-free ingredients and standards. I believe Farmacy is one of those skincare brands that you can rely on if you’re into nature-inspired skincare. Being said that, most of their products are either made with honey or with Echinacea GreenEnvy – a different kind of Echinacea breed that has potent healing powers and contains more antioxidants than the regular Echinacea plant.

The Mighties Kit contains two Farmacy products that I’ve tried before as samples: The Honey Potion Mask and the Honey Drop Moisturizer. I was gonna purchase them in their regular sizes but I wanted to see if there might be some other Farmacy products I might like and should try. This Mighties Kit (got this on sale during Sephora’s VIB event several weeks ago) seems like a really good kit to try some other Farmacy bestsellers. The other three products that are Included in this kit which I’ve never tried before are the following: a green makeup remover, a night balm infused with Echinacea GreenEnvy, and a sample of their Dew It All Eye Cream. Hmm, these products seem really intriguing…

Farmacy Honey Drop Lightweight Moisturizer with Echinacea GreenEnvy

Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm with Echinacea GreenEnvy (3.2 oz: $34) – This smells like something green, slightly herb-like and totally fresh like a slight blend of lime and a hint of bergamot. This Allure 2017 Best of Beauty Winner looks waxy on the outside but once you scoop it out, it’ll melt into the skin and remove all kinds of makeup without any problem. Kinda like Clinique’s Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm, but with a much better scent. You’re probably gonna need a spatula whenever you use this, and a small pea-size amount is enough to get rid of all the makeup on your face.

Honey Drop Lightweight Moisturizer with Echinacea GreenEnvy (1.7 oz: $45) – This moisturizer smells like honey and it feels really light on the skin. I’ve had several samples of this before as well and I really like the way my skin feels after using this. It’s softening and for my skin type or even for those with combo skin, this is a perfect consistency as an everyday moisturizer. However, if you have dry skin, this may not be enough for you, and if you put a lot of this, it may pill. So that’s something to consider, and for some, they don’t really like the scent of this moisturizer since it’s kind of boring and odd. I definitely think that this product can be a hit or a miss for some, depending on a lot of factors like your skin type, the area where you live, and your scent preferences among other things.

Farmacy Sleep Tight Firming Night Balm with Echinacea GreenEnvy

Sleep Tight Firming Night Balm with Echinacea GreenEnvy (1.7 oz: $48) – This balm turns into a jelly-oil consistency once applied on the skin. It has this light green scent that is mixed with several nourishing oils which makes for an aromatic experience. The feeling of applying this is weird because the balm really does feel like an oil on my hands and on my face, but it isn’t really that oily. It has that sort of dry oil effect, and even though it took a while for this product to be absorbed by my skin, it didn’t really stain my bed sheets and pillowcases. As someone with an oily skin type, I was afraid that this might cause my face to get even more oily and will cause some breakouts, but so far, I haven’t really noticed any untoward reactions. Even though I didn’t notice the firming effect, what I did notice is that this balm had moisturized some dry patches on my skin overnight.

Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask with Echinacea GreenEnvy (4.1 oz: $56) – This is one of my most favorite Farmacy products ever. I’ve had several samples of this before and I will buy this in its large packaging soon. This is surely one of the best face masks I’ve ever tried and it feels so good the moment you apply it on the face. It has this ginger-honey scent that feels like a really thick jelly to the touch, and it spreads on the skin smoothly while it warms. You could feel your skin feeling revitalized by it. I like to massage this mask all over my face for about 15 minutes and right after washing it off, my face feels so soft, so smooth, and so renewed. It looks plumped, well-hydrated, glowy, almost like having glassy skin. I could even squeeze my whiteheads and blackheads off easily, it’s amazing.

Dew It All Total Eye Cream with Echinacea GreenEnvy

Dew It All Total Eye Cream with Echinacea GreenEnvy (0.5 oz: $38) – This eye cream is a surprise love for me. I’ve never tried this before and when I did, I was so amazed by how soft and smooth this cream feels. It isn’t thick and sticky, it’s just a rich smooth creamy blend that my undereye skin soaked up immediately. It had kept it hydrated for hours and hours and it goes well under concealer or any tinted undereye moisturizers. While there’s no way of knowing if this eye cream had reduced my dark circles, given that I only got a free small sachet of a sample inside the kit, I do love its nice clean scent and its hydrating effect on my undereyes.

Farmacy Honey Drop Lightweight Moisturizer with Echinacea GreenEnvy

Bottom line. If you’re new to Farmacy products, I suggest that you try this Mighties Kit. There’s a lot to love in this kit and you will discover and like some other Farmacy products that you might normally pass by at any beauty and skincare counters. Personally, I love all of the stuff in this kit, and I’m not surprised why they’re considered bestsellers, because they really are. However, I have a special liking to the Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm, the Dew It All Total Eye Cream, and the Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Mask.

This Farmacy The Mighties Kit is currently available at Sephora.ย You can also purchase individual regular-sized Farmacy products at JCPenney.

Tatcha Luminous Dewy Mask, The Silk Canvas, And The Pearl Review

Tatcha The Silk Canvas Protective Primer

Hello! Happy Friyay! There are some new Tatcha products in town and I can’t wait to discuss them with you guys today. As you all know, I’m in love with almost every Tatcha products, I mean, who doesn’t? I think their products are just high quality and are really made to work. Their skincare stuff are usually the ones I always seem to use and they never disappoint. Lately, I saw that they seem to be gearing towards not only making skincare products but also making something that’s a cross between makeup and skincare. Well, how exciting is that? So check out these three new releases from them.

Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mask Review

Luminous Dewy Skin Mask (1 x 0.68 oz: $12, 4 x 0.68 oz: $45) – This facial mask has that slight signature Tatcha scent and is very soaked with the serum to the point that it’s almost dripping right out of the package. The mask sheet doesn’t feel too thick and not too thin. It feels cooling and refreshing once applied to the face and it gives a nice calming and relaxing sensation. A few minutes into its usage, I noticed my skin feeling soft and very hydrated. You’re supposed to leave this mask on the face for 15 minutes, but I like to keep mine on a little bit longer until the sheet starts to feel a bit dry – that took about a whole 30 something minutes for me. Tatcha advises to massage the remaining serum on the face after taking off the mask, which I did, and my skin really feels drenched, super moisturized and truly dewy. This is definitely a very good facial mask and one that I definitely recommend whether you’re just starting into masks or are a true die-hard face mask fan. I actually think that this mask is one of the best I’ve tried out there and it definitely ranks higher than the ones made by Sephora. Also, it’s the next best thing compared to the SK-II Facial Treatment Mask, my other favorite. The SK-II Mask has a thicker sheet and is extremely drenched with the Pitera serum. It doesn’t dry out immediately but it’s also quite more expensive than this Tatcha Dewy Skin Mask. Anyhow, whichever mask you’d choose, you’re definitely going to like any of them.

Tatcha The Silk Canvas Protective Primer Review

Tatcha The Silk Canvas Protective Primer

The Silk Canvas Protective Primer (0.7 oz: $52) – I was so curious about this primer. The packaging looks really sleek and simply beautiful and I thought it would be more like a compact when you open it, but you actually have to twist it and you need to use its complimentary round spatula in order to scrape a small amount of product. That’s because this isn’t your typical liquid primer, this is a solid silky luxe facial primer that has a nice intense signature Tatcha scent that’s common to most Tatcha products. I mean, this primer smells very good. It’s like finally! a primer that smells divine, sans any silicone scent. My face literally smells so nice and I couldn’t help but notice it all the time. This primer feels silky to the touch and it also makes my face feel silky smooth once applied. Don’t worry about its creamy white color, it won’t leave a white cast on the face. My foundations (liquids, creams, and a few powders) go on easily and not look splotchy. My pores appear blurred and it gives a natural finish whenever I use a luminous type of foundation. Also, it doesn’t make my face look dry whenever I use a mattifying one. I find that this primer does a good job at holding my foundation for several hours (6 or more ). Now, do I think I could find another primer that could do the same job? Yes sure. Do I also think this product is worth it? Yes, this is a luxurious primer that not only does an overall good job at priming the face, lips, and eyes, using this is also quite a sensorial experience. The only thing that kind of irks me about this is how you have to twist the container in order to open it, and it can be quite slippery to the touch sometimes. Also, you’re really gonna need the scraper that it came with because using the fingers alone won’t allow you to grab enough product.

Tatcha The Pearl Tinted Eye Illuminating Treatment

Tatcha The Pearl Tinted Eye Illuminating Treatment in Softlight

The Pearl Tinted Eye Illuminating Treatment in Softlight (0.4 oz: $48) – In what probably could be the best packaging I’ve ever seen for an eye cream product, this Tatcha The Pearl Eye Treatment is absolutely beautiful and enchanting with its, of course, pearl-like container. This hybrid of an eye treatment and makeup-in-one is very intriguing. You can use this as a tinted eye treatment/moisturizer, or as a concealer. It feels very lightweight yet very creamy. It’s also non-sticky and is extremely pigmented. You only need a tiny bit of product and it’s good enough to cover your whole undereye situation. LOL. I suggest that you don’t swipe this across the undereye immediately because it will look patchy, especially if your skin is kind of dry. Just try to dab it on the skin to sorta warm it up and it will blend in well. I was actually quite unsure about my shade match when I purchased this product. I thought the medium shade or the Softlight might look too dark for me because it looks quite brownish on the picture and in the packaging. Also, the light shade (Moonlight) looks too bright for me as well. So I decided on the medium shade and boy I was right. This color tends to get lighter and brighter as soon as you apply it. It illuminates the eyes and gives this kind of naturally awake look. The formula itself has Akoya Pearls, Silk Powder, and Botanical Extracts that are meant to reduce dark circles and brighten the eye area. While it remains to be proven whether pearls actually has skincare benefits, I feel like there’s a lot to love with this Tatcha Eye Treatment. It really brightens the undereye area just like a concealer and you won’t even need one. Although, you could perfectly layer your favorite concealer with this, but personally, I could get by just by using this eye treatment. Some mentioned that the packaging is really small for its price and yes it does look like there’s not a lot of product in it, but actually there is because this is so pigmented that all you really need is a rice amount to get a full coverage on the undereyes. This product has been recently released, so I will keep testing this to see if this really has a brightening effect over time.

Tatcha The Pearl Tinted Eye Illuminating Treatment in Softlight Swatch

Apart from these three Tatcha new releases, they’ve also released their Deep Cleanse facial cleanser (reviewed here) which is one of the best face cleansers I’ve ever tried, both by scent and by formula. Overall, it’s another job well-done by Tatcha for these amazing products, and I highly recommend them. They feel so pampering on the skin and I love that some of their stuff are not just great as skincare, but also great as makeup.

The Tatcha Silk Primer, Luminous Dewy Mask, and The Pearl are currently available atย Sephora andย JCPenney,ย

Samples of The Week: Coola, Lancer, Tarte, By Terry, Charlotte Tilbury, Burberry, Boscia, Ren, Laura Geller, & Ciate

REN Evercalm Global Protection Day Cream

Happy Labor Day guys! I hope you’re all having a great time. I have some samples to review today which are quite interesting and somewhat new. So, without further ado, let’s get this Labor Day review started.

Burberry, My Burberry Blush Eau de Parfum review

Burberry, My Burberry Blush Eau de Parfum (0.25 oz/rollerball: $29, 1 oz: $68, 1.6 oz: $90, 3 oz: $120) – I surprising LOVE THIS SCENT the moment I sprayed it on my wrist. It’s a breathtaking fruity floral scent that is irresistible, yummy, sweet, feminine, and pretty at the same time. I haven’t been a fan of floral scents lately (except YSL Mon Paris) because a lot of them tend to be sickly sweet, but this one is different. It has the right kind of sweetness that is not overbearing because there’s a bit of freshness to it. The pomegranate tone is refreshing to the senses. I’m a fan of Burberry scents like the “My Burberry Eau de Toilette“, “Brit Sheer“, and even the “Mr. Burberry Eau de Parfum” for men, and this My Burberry Blush definitely does not disappoint.

By Terry Hyaluronic Face Glow in #2 Nude Glow review

Boscia Charcoal Deep-Pore Exfoliating Peel Gel with Volcanic Sand (5 oz: $34) – This is a mild facial peel gel in which the scent reminds me a lot of Boscia Detoxifying Black Cleanser (reviewed HERE). This one has a very similar consistency with that cleanser as well, and at first, it has a gritty/exfoliating texture, but once applied on the face, you’ll realize that there’s some kind of tiny leaf residue that sorta balls up or clumps the moment you scrub this black gel on your face. The nice thing is it’s not gonna be a rough scrub, but more like a mild one, but the problem is that the whole process can be messy since the clumpy residues tend to fall off the face easily, making a mess on the floor or on the sink. It does clean and soften the face though.

Boscia Charcoal Deep-Pore Exfoliating Peel Gel with Volcanic Sand review

By Terry Hyaluronic Face Glow in #2 Nude Glow (1.43 oz: $66) – I was so surprised by the amazing powdery jasmine scent of this one. It’s a strong scent, but it’s also a nice one. The type that’s kinda hard to resist. The coverage of this is very sheer, so it’s almost better to layer or mix this with your favorite BB or CC Cream, or any foundation as well. I love the very subtle glow that it gives on the face even if it’s quite sheer.

Tarte Tarteist PRO Glow Liquid Highlighter in Stunner

Coola Mineral Face Spf 30 Matte Tint Unscented (1.7 oz: $36)– A light coverage sunscreen/BB cream that has a whipped texture and it feels cushiony like the Coola Dawn Patrol Primer (reviewed HERE). It is creamy and it slightly blurs some redness on the face. I still use some foundation after using this because the coverage of this is not enough to cover my blemishes or some post acne marks. I love that this feels really lightweight and didnโ€™t break out my skin.

Lancer Dani Glowing Skin Perfector (1 oz: $95) โ€“ This luminizing cream has a floral scent, but itโ€™s not extremely strong. Its shimmers are also very fine, thus giving a natural subtle glow on the face. I wish thereโ€™s a bit more coverage to it because this oneโ€™s really sheer, but itโ€™s great to mix with BB creams or with some other foundations. It really does make the face look luminous and less flat.

Charlotte Tilbury Charlotte’s Magic Cream Treat & Transform Moisturizer (1.7 oz: $100, 5 oz: $255) – This cream has a similar scent to Fresh Rose Face Mask or Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Cream, Serum & Eye Gel. It also reminds me of Sisley Paris Black Rose Cream Mask, both with scent and consistency, although the Sisley one has a more whipped formulation. This one from Charlotte Tilbury is quite balanced in texture and in consistency that is also very hydrating and my skin absorbs this easily. It even kept my face hydrated when I applied this on my face overnight.

Tarte Tarteist PRO Glow Liquid Highlighter in Stunner (0.56 oz: $29) – This liquid highlighter’s glow is blinding and out of this world, but a huge challenge to work around. You don’t need to apply a lot of this because a little bit goes a long way, and it’s also easy to blend, but it sets pretty fast which can make the application patchy. The effect can be blinding like you have too much glitter on because the shimmers are not finely-milled. It’s super glowy and ultra-luminous which makes the glow on the face quite unnatural.

Ciate London Liquid Velvet Moisturizing Matte Liquid Lipstick in Bitter Sweet

REN Evercalm Global Protection Day Cream (1.7 oz: $45) – This cream is really moisturizing and it’s great for sensitive skin, but I just couldn’t quite like it, no matter how hard I tried it several times. It’s that after-application scent that’s kinda acidic like a strong lemon and rose mix with some citronella (anti-mosquito). It’s a weird scent and I can’t seem to get used to it. Other than that, this cream really moisturizes any dry skin very well.

Laura Geller Color Luster Lip Gloss in Cookie Dough (0.21 oz: $21) – This is a very lightweight long lasting lip gloss that has a medium coverage. It doesn’t feel sticky at all and has no discernible scent. I’m not usually a fan of shiny pouts but this one gives a natural shine that doesn’t look over the top, and it keeps the lips hydrated all day.

Ciate London Liquid Velvet Moisturizing Matte Liquid Lipstick in Bitter Sweet (0.22 oz: $19) – A brownish gray shade that is simply pretty and quite like in the 90’s. It complements any skin tone, and it’s even more complementing for medium to dark complexions. It has a strong soapy jasmine scent with a true matte finish that’s long lasting and not so drying. It’s pretty much one of the best matte liquid lipsticks out there. More shades reviewed HERE.

Ciate London Liquid Velvet Moisturizing Matte Liquid Lipstick in Bitter Sweet

These are really interesting set of samples that I’ve played lately, and a lot of them are really nice to have in full sizes, but if I have to narrow them down to my top 3, I’d say, the Burberry Blush Eau de Parfum is really at the top of my list, followed by By Terry Hyaluronic Face Glow and Lancer Dani Glowing Skin Perfector.

Have you tried any of these?
