CurrentBody Skin LED Light Therapy Mask Review

Currentbody LED Light Therapy mask

Hello everyone. This post is all about healing and improving our skin through the benefit of LED light therapy using the Currentbody face mask. If you have noticed, many people that are known to have beautiful glowy skin have an established skincare routine. Part of that routine likely includes regular visits to dermatologist or at least a very good trusted facialist. These skincare professionals almost all use LED light therapy. LED light therapy is proven to be safe and effective in improving the vitality of the skin over time. However, for most of us, regular visits to the derma to avail of the coveted facial LED light therapy is not only pricey but also not quite practical with our hectic schedule. I, for one, needed a practical and less costly solution, long-term.

I have tried some LED light therapy before, even spot-targeting LED lights that promised to control and prevent breakouts. Much to my dismay, I ended up not liking them because first, they took a long time to improve skincare concerns. Second, they just do not have enough LED wavelength that could help with any of my troublesome breakouts, and third, they are just time-consuming to use.

Enter the Currentbody Skin LED Light Therapy (featured on Netflixโ€™s Emily in Paris series). With this LED face mask, I noticed a huge improvement in my overall skintone and skin health. I gave myself enough time to try the mask and see the full benefits. I was blown away by how the mask managed to control and prevent the appearance of my hormonal breakouts. Even the ghost of my previous dark spotsโ€™ past went away ๐Ÿ˜ƒ . Apart from that, I noticed a change in the integrity of my skin, specifically my skinโ€™s texture and elasticity. My skin now feels more firm and less rubbery than before using the mask. I had some reaction to a previous supplement I was taking, where my skin developed redness, dryness, and dullness no matter how much soothing moisturizer I applied. The Currentbody LED mask improved such issue, and my skin looked way more glowy than before using it.

Curious why LED light therapy works? LED light has been known to improve the appearance of the skin by stimulating the skinโ€™s cells to regenerate new cells. Think of it as a kind of regenerative medicine for the face. In a study by Russel et al. (2009), thirty-one patients with facial rhytids (medical term for fine lines and wrinkles) underwent a combination of LED light therapy wavelengths. To which, fifty percent of them had visible skin improvement at twelve weeks, and continuous succeeding improvements of eighty percent upon months of follow-up. The patients were assessed visually through clinical photography and overall satisfaction score.

Schoutsen (2023) explained that LED light therapy stimulates the skin cells called chromophores. The chromophores transform the LED light energy into chemical energy, setting a series of cellular reaction that improves blood circulation, collagen production, and inflammation reduction. Such a continuous cellular process renews the skin, making it look youthful and glowy. That is why LED masks such as the one from Currentbody is great as anti-aging facial device.

The Currentbody LED therapy mask uses two clinical wavelengths (red and near-infrared) to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. It has a patented flexible silicone to make sure that light energy truly gets into all the areas of the face. The mask is safe to use for all skin types and tones. Its maximum usage lasts for 10 minutes, and you can use it five times a week. You must first cleanse and exfoliate your skin before using the device. You can also use Currentbodyโ€™s Skin Hydrogel Face Mask along with the device. In my experience, using the device with the gel mask feels really good and it leaves my skin moisturized afterward.

The device comes with its own USB charging cable, a user manual, eye goggles to protect your eyes (if you are sensitive to light), an adjustable velcro strap to wrap the device around your head, and a storage bag. Before using, it is safe practice to first conduct a sensitivity test, to check if you will experience skin burns (which is a rare occurrence).

The Currentbody LED light therapy mask is generally safe to use, pain-free, and will generally not burn the skin. If you are curious about the overall long-term side effects of using LED light therapy on the skin, well, worry not. In a systematic review of Glass (2023), LED light therapy (within established parameters) are indeed safe, and it will not cause any oncologic reactions over time with continued use. Even cancer patients who decide to try LED light therapy for their skin can enjoy the anti-aging device.

VII Code T2 Oxygen Eye Cream O3.0 & O2.0 Oxygen Hydrating Eye Spray Review

VII Code O2.0 Oxygen Hydrating Eye Spray

Hi All! I’ve been in the market for some good quality eye creams that could potentially help to hydrate my undereyes which suffered from extreme dryness this last Winter. My skin, lately, seemed to have gone through a lot due to the lack of moisture in the air and that has caused some dry patches and roughness especially around the eye area. So, when VII Code reached out to me to try their eye cream and eye spray, I was totally glad because, to be honest, it’s really kind of hard to find the ideal eye cream for your skin type or for any specific undereye skincare concern. Since I had a good experience with VII Code’s O2M Oxygen Eye Mask for Dark Circles before, which you can read HERE, I had a hunch that I will enjoy their T2 Oxygen Eye Cream and also their latest product, the Oxygen Hydrating Eye Spray immediately.

VII Code T2 Oxygen Eye Cream O3.0

VII Code T2 Oxygen Eye Cream O3.0

T2 Oxygen Eye Cream O3.0 (5 ml: $99) – This anti-aging eye cream comes in a beautiful blue packaging that looks unique and sleek. I love looking at its decorative shape that sort of stands out in my sea of skincare products. Upon initial testing, this eye cream has a nice floral scent that goes away after a few minutes of application. It feels really silky and creamy but not sticky and it goes on smooth on my undereyes. My skin absorbs this easily without any residue. The following day, I noticed immediate hydration on my undereye area. It no longer feels rough and it didn’t look very dry. My concealer and foundation adhere well with this eye cream without emphasizing any dry areas. Another thing I love about this is the fact that this is great for my sensitive eyes. I never noticed any burns or stings no matter how much I applied this product close to my eyes. Also, this eye cream comes with its Crescent Activation Strip which doubles as a spatula and as an eye massager. I love it because it conforms to the shape of the eyes and it sorts of stimulates the blood flow around that area.

VII Code T2 Oxygen Eye Cream O3.0 review

You can use this eye cream in the evening after cleansing your face, or you can also use this in the morning before applying your makeup. For maximum hydration, you can also supplement this eye cream with VII Code’s Oxygen Eye Mask, available HERE.

VII Code T2 Oxygen Eye Cream O3.0 how to apply

Per VII Code’s website, these are the following ingredients of this particular eye cream.

Elderberries: Anti-oxidant content maintains the skin cells, leaving you with glowing, younger skin.

Jojoba Oil: Not only firms and keeps your skin hydrated, but also useful in lessening the appearance of skin wrinkles. Rich in antioxidants, which help regenerate the skin cells.

Evening Primrose: Boosts blood circulation, which is helpful to treat tired skin and eyes and is especially effective in removing wrinkles.

VII Code O2.0 Oxygen Hydrating Eye Spray

O2.0 Oxygen Hydrating Eye Spray (5 ml: $23) – This is VII Code’s latest eye product and yes you read it right, it’s an eye spray and it has several interesting ingredients that promote undereye skin hydration and nutrition like: Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamins, Minerals, Amino Acids, Glycerin, Red Algae Extract, and an active marine ingredient from the Mediterranean Sea.

Will all those ingredients, I find this eye spray to be very mild, very fluid, clear, non-sticky, and unscented. Therefore, this is great for those with sensitive skin and sensitive eyes. I personally like this a lot because this product does not only maintain undereye hydration, it also feels rejuvenating around the eyes, kinda like an eye/face mist. To use: You can spray this immediately to the eye area (with eyes closed) for a distance of about 15 cm and gently pat the mist around your undereyes for full absorption. Also, you can spray this on a cotton pad and gently press it on your eye area for a very refreshing feel.

Vii Code review

Overall, I had a great experience testing these VII Code T2 Oxygen Eye Cream and the O2.0 Oxygen Hydrating Eye Spray. I find these to be beneficial undereye products that suit sensitive skin and with a spa-level feel. These addressed my undereye skincare concern and for that, I’m really grateful.

Glamglow Gravitymud, Thirstymud, Flashmud, Youthmud, & Supermud Review

How’s it going Guys! I’ve been obsessing about masks lately and decided to try some Glamglow face masks since they seem to have a couple of really interesting products, and also, I was looking for something that I could use for specific skincare situations.

glamglow flashmud thirstymud youthmud gavitymud

Masks are really fun to try and they’re such good skin preps to incorporate in your regular beauty routine. They come in different formulations and purposes, depending on your skin condition and what it needs. These Glamglow minis are so nice to try because then you could rule out which ones you’ll like and might need.

Glamglow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment

I’ve had a really good experience with their Glamglow Supermud Mask (further reviewed HERE), and I’ve been using it twice a week since then. It’s probably one of the best treatment face masks I’ve ever used, and it just clears my blackheads and whiteheads like a breeze. My pores have never been better and breakouts have been prevented. It has a strong lavender scent which you’ll get used to pretty easily and it dries fast. This is a great mask for cleaning the skin thoroughly and preventing too much oil buildup.

glamglow supermud review

Since my purchase of the Glamglow Supermud, I’ve always wanted to experience some of their masks, especially during the days when I feel like I may need some hydration on my skin, or when I feel like I need a thorough exfoliation or a facial scrub after an oily sweaty day. So here are the minis that I’ve tried.

Glamglow Gravitymud Firming Treatment

Glamglow Flashmud Brightening Treatment (0.5 oz: $22, 1.7 oz: $69) – This mask is meant to deliver a radiant and luminous skin. It also evens the skin’s texture and minimizes or prevents dark spots. In other words, its main purpose is what its name says. A brightening mask. It smells like a fusion of great tea, white clay, something acidic and something floral. It has little bits of what looks like finely- grounded leaves and the mask overall feels very gritty. It’s definitely a great exfoliating mask or a face scrub. While I haven’t noticed any brightening effects, I do like this mask. I like that it makes my face feel soft and it controls the oil. This mask has a flesh color which transforms into a semi-transparent finish after a few minutes. Glamglow suggests to leave it on for at least 20 minutes, then you can rinse it off with water.

Glamglow Gravitymud Firming Treatment (0.5 oz: $22, 1.7 oz: $69) – Of all the Glamglow face masks, this is probably the most fun to try. It smells like a yummy Piรฑa Colada and it starts off as a metallic white cream which transforms into a silver peel-off mask. The larger size comes with a brush for an easy application because applying this mask with your fingers alone can be a slight challenge. I didn’t notice a firming sensation with this mask, but I love the fun of using it. It will transform you into either a magical unicorn or like Tin Man from Wizard of Oz.

Glamglow Thirstymud Hydrating Treatment

Glamglow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment (0.5 oz: $22, 1.7 oz: $69) – This mask is meant to exfoliate, brighten, smooth, and soften the skin with antioxidant properties. It also gives a tingling sensation when applied. Somehow, I feel like this is quite similar to Glamglow Flashmud, but probably even more exfoliating and it does tingle on the face but you really have to pay attention in order to notice it, at least I didn’t feel it much on my face. This smells like herbs and something soapy, but it’s not bad. It doesn’t dry like most clay masks, but it exfoliates really well and it kinda feels firming too. The best thing about this is how my face felt so smooth and so soft after rinsing, almost like baby skin,

Glamglow Thirstymud Hydrating Treatment (0.5 oz: $22, 1.7 oz: $69) – A very moisturizing mask that smells so delish like vanilla chocolate and coconut, you could almost eat it. This doesn’t dry at all, it feels more like a very hydrating facial moisturizer for the days that the skin may experience dryness or some dry patches. This is really creamy but not sticky. I like that it feels very soothing and it makes my skin soft, especially when exposed to strong ACs or this could be great for this coming winter air.

Glamglow Gravitymud Firming Treatment

Of all the Glamglow masks reviewed here, I’d say that I like them all a lot because I can definitely see myself using each one of them. They all have a certain purpose which my skin will definitely need, but if I have to rank them, I think my first will always be the Glamglow Supermud, followed by the Gravitymud/Firming (violet container), then the Flashmud/Brightening (orange), Thirstymud/Hydrating (blue), and finally the Youthmud/Tinglexfoliate (black).
