It’s been quite a while since I posted my latest favorites in beauty and skincare. As I mentioned in my previous post, I will be rounding up the products I’m currently loving, so this post is all about these items. Actually, some of the products I will be featuring below are not just the ones I’m currently using this Spring. I will still be using some of them for this coming Summer. In fact, I’ve been using some of them since last Winter as well. So, if you’ve been wondering what I’m raving lately, well, here now are my current favorites in beauty, haircare, and skincare.

HAIRCARE

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Body Builder (2.8 oz: $15, 7.3 oz: $29) – I first got this when I was checking out some products to volumized my fine hair. I saw that this has really good reviews at Sephora and I was eager to test it ASAP. True its glowy raves, I was blown away by how this made a difference in my usually flat fine hair. This adds real volume and drama to the hair and it goes on clear without leaving any whitish or sticky residue. The nice thing about this is the packaging where you can adjust the nozzle’s opening and it can release either less or more product depending on how much volume you’d want for your hair. This works for just about any hair type and this definitely works for my fine hair. The scent can be too much at times, but it’s not a bad scent, so it’s pretty much tolerable.

Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray (2.2 oz: $22, 8.5 oz: $46) – I’ve mentioned before that I’m currently obsessed with texture hair sprays. I feel like they work so well at not just adding volume to my fine hair, but they also add a nice texture to my strands. I think this Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray might just be the best if not one of the best I’ve ever tried. I like this a lot because this goes on clear, light, and it makes my hair look clean, fresh, and fab. Oh, and the scent’s gonna get you swooning too. 🙂

Moroccanoil Treatment (0.85 oz: $15, 1.7 oz: $34, 3.4 oz: $44) – I wanted something that would make my stands look healthy and vibrant post styling, so I heard good reviews about this but I was kind of hesitant at first because I thought this may make my hair oilier and may add more weight to it. But I did give this a chance anyway, and I really love it! This has a nice scent that is not overpowering and it doesn’t weight the hair down. It’s great for adding hair shine especially to the roots after a blowout or after any heat-styling. It’s kinda like a lightweight finishing treatment.

SKINCARE

Supergoop! Super Power Sunscreen Mousse Broad Spectrum SPF 50 (3.4 oz: $19, 7.2 oz: $34) – For this Spring and for this coming Summer, this is still one of my sunscreen of choice because this is so lightweight, non-sticky, and it doesn’t leave any white residue. A small container/packaging of this can last a long time, and its mousse texture is very easy to apply on the skin.

Drunk Elephant C-Tango Multivitamin Eye Cream (0.5 oz: $64) – I’ve always wanted this eye cream ever since its release because I really like its ingredients especially its Vitamin C potency, but I read some reviews that this caused contact dermatitis for them. However, I was adamant to try this anyway and see it for myself. Well, good news friends, I’ve been using this for several weeks now and I never had an issue. I apply this on my dark undereye circles and it hasn’t gotten worse, in fact, my undereyes look vibrant and I look less fatigued even when I don’t get enough sleep. I usually don’t apply this on the thin skin around my lids, but when I did it a couple of times, I never had an issue as well.

Peter Thomas Roth Firmx Peeling Gel (3.4 oz: 48, 6.8 oz: $89) – Ahhh! my favorite instant peeling product. Ever since I received a sample of this from Sephora a few years ago, I knew I have got to have this product for life. From then on and nowadays, this is my go-to if I want immediately facial smoothness. I use this two or three time a week to get rid of some dry patches and rough skin that doesn’t go away with extreme moisturization alone. This preps the skin for a smooth and easy application of any primer and foundation. You could literally feel and see your facial skin particles sloughing off while you massage this gel on the skin.

MAKEUP

Clé De Peau Beauté Radiant Cushion Foundation in O20 Light Ochre ($99) – I tend to reach out for my cushion foundations whenever the weather starts to get warm and the sky starts to look bright. Since these foundations are very light on the skin, they’re not prone to cakeyness and they look more natural on the face. Since I want my friends and neighbors to recognize me this warm and bright season, lol, the radiant cushion from Cle De Peau Beauté makes me look more like me, ha! See this product’s swatch HERE.

Shiseido Eyelash Curler ($22) – I only love three brands of eyelash curler in my life (yeah, for real :-)), one is from Shu Uemura, the other one is from Japonesque (seen HERE) which I use during my travels, and the third one is this Shiseido lash curler. This is very similar to the Shu Uemura one and it’s the kind of eyelash curler that suits well for those with short/baby lashes, small eyes, and even downturned eyes, as well as Asian faces and features. I will tell you more in my upcoming posts whether this is better than the Shu Uemura one or not.

Tom Ford Eye Defining Pen in 01 Deeper (0.03 oz: $58) – The day that Tom Ford will discontinue this product is the day that I will never leave the house, LOL! This is pretty much the only eyeliner that seems to really work out of all the eyeliners I’ve tried in several different brands and stores lately. I used to like the Stila one but I think their formulation had changed. Once applied, this doesn’t smudge and it’s pretty much waterproof. It stays on no matter what the situation, weather, or any event calls for. It’s super reliable especially for those with oily lids. There is only one shade though, and its pigment is the blackest black.

Dr. Brandt Needles No More, No More Baggage Eye De-Puffing Gel (0.5 oz: $42) – I got this from my FabFitFun Box and I was really impressed by it. It qualifies as both skincare and makeup and it works by tightening the skin along the undereye area, making it depuffed, and it’s got a nice salmon shade that color corrects the dark circles. Use this for an immediate dark puffy undereye relief. Read more about this product HERE.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Original (0.16 oz: $13, 0.33 oz: $24) – Whenever Spring and Summer comes and you have oily lids, it’s always a good idea to prime them. You’ll never know what could happen next, come rain or shine, you need to have your eye makeup on point. Racoon eyes are a no-no. This Urban Decay Primer in original formula gets the job done. I’ve been using this for years now and even last Winter, and I no longer have to worry if my eyeliner was creasing or not. A small size of this primer can last a long time.

Pat McGrath Labs FetishEyes Mascara (0.27 oz: $28) – I didn’t really plan to buy this mascara so soon because I was waiting for some constructive reviews about it. But when I got a sample of this, I was like whaaat?! Is this thing for real?! LOL. I literally saw my short lashes lengthening as I was applying this, and all the while I was thinking “Is there some black magic in here?” Haha! I don’t know how PMG did it, but guys, you have got to try this. This is on my holy grail list now and it makes my lashes look long and volumized. On top of that, this doesn’t smudge and this doesn’t irritate my eyes.

Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer in 29N Light-Medium (0.33 oz: $27) – This is my concealer of choice as of the moment because I seem to be getting some post-zit dark spots lately, and I need something that gives more coverage. The type that really covers my age, LOL. So yeah, the shade 29 N is light-medium with neutral undertones and it works to make me look flawless and youthful even for just a few hours. 🙂

Laura Mercier Flawless Lumière Radiance-Perfecting Foundation in 2C1 Ecru (1 oz: $48) – I’m a big fan of Laura Mercier foundations because of their lightweight next-to-skin feel. This new Flawless Lumiere foundation in Ecru (light with neutral undertones) definitely lives up to the Laura Mercier foundation standard. It is quite similar to the LM Candleglow (my other fave, reviewed HERE) but it’s not as super dewy and it doesn’t slide as much. It still feels creamy and lightweight, and it has medium coverage with a natural radiant finish that still feels like a second skin. I love this formula a lot because it gives a soft-focus radiant look, and it stays on even longer if you set this with a nice setting powder. My favorite setting powders are HERE and HERE.

Fenty Beauty

Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick in Thicc (0.06 oz: $18) – Sultry Natural Mauve. This a long-wearing comfortable matte lipstick and it makes the lips look full. This mauve shade is not just great for everyday wear, it’s also great as a transitional lip shade as you approach another season.

Stunna Lip Paint Longwear Fluid Lip Color in Uncuffed (0.13 oz: $24) – Rosy Mauve. This is more like a liquid lip color version of the Mattemoiselle Plush lipstick above, though the mauve color of this Uncuffed shade seems to be a bit darker than the Thicc lipstick above, but still perfect for everyday daytime use. This lip color feels very lightweight, it’s not that drying, and though it slightly emphasizes the lip lines, it does stay on the lips for a long period of time.

I have compiled some products that I’ve always wanted to purchase but never really made up my mind about them or was sort of holding back just because I was waiting for this sale to happen. A lot of these products are the luxe ones that are too costly especially if you wanna buy them in several shades. Ready to check what’s on my Wishlist? Here they are…

Tom Ford Lip Lacquer ($54) – I’ve got my eyes set on these new-released lip indulgence from TF. I’ve tried these at Nordies before and I already have the Pussycat shade as well. I had to stop myself from trying more because of the upcoming Sephora Beauty Inside Event. So far, my first impression of these Lip Lacquers is really positive. They come in 3 finishes; Matte, Metallic, and High Shine.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Eyeshadow Palette ($42) – There’s no other Spring-released eyeshadow palette that interests me other than this Anastasia Soft Glam. From its suede packaging to the wearable colors of each pan, this palette is just perfect for everyday eye makeup wear.

Tom Ford Soleil Blanc Shimmering Body Oil ($100) – I’ve been looking into this for quite a while now since I’m starting to get into body oils. This smelled really nice at the store and it has a pretty good amount of shimmer. Just that price though.

Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mask (1 for $12, 4 for $45) – This is Tatcha’s newly-released face mask and as a Tatcha lover, I’m pretty excited what this is all about and I want to see whether my skin is going like it or not. I bet this smells divine too.

Tom Ford Boys & Girls Lip Color (0.07 oz: $36) – I’m looking forward to purchasing some of the Girls shade as I skipped on them before. It looks to me that the Girls have a much better color pay off compared to the Boys. They seem to be more long-wearing as well.

Peter Thomas Roth FIRMx Peeling Gel (3.4 oz: $48) – Got a sample of this from my Sephora Play a few months ago and I love it. It takes away dead skin cells and it makes the face really smooth. So I need to get this in a larger size.

Drunk Elephant C-Tango Multivitamin Eye Cream (0.5 oz: $64) – This eye cream seems really promising. It combines Vitamin C and Peptides which are really great for the skin. I’m curious how it works compared to the popular Olehenriksen Banana Bright Eye Cream.

Tatcha The Silk Canvas Protective Primer (0.7 oz: $52) – This is currently sold out and a lot of people are raving about this primer. I’m curious if this really holds the makeup longer, and how velvety the finish would be given my oily-prone skin type. I also really like the way it smells when I tried it in-store. It’s like finally, a primer that smells good, so I need to get my hands on this soon.

F armacy The Mighties Kit ($45) – I’ve been really liking the Farmacy products lately, especially when I got a sample of the Honey Drop Lightweight Moisturizer and the Honey Potion Mask. They feel so smooth and so moisturizing on the skin. Applying them is such a soothing experience, and this set is gonna be a real treat if you love this brand.

Hourglass Vanish Flash Highlighting Stick (0.21 oz: $42) – I love Hourglass Cosmetics because their products are not only beautiful, they also make you look beautiful in them. This Highlighting Stick feels so creamy and so beautifully shimmery when I tried it in-store. I have my eyes on the Champagne and Gold Flash shades.

Herbivore Rose Hibiscus Coconut Water Hydrating Face Mist (4 oz: $32) – I’ve never tried any Herbivore products before, and I’ve heard a lot of good things about this Rose Hibiscus Coconut Face Mist. I seem to like its combination of ingredients and as a face mist fanatic, I would really like to have this.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Highlighter (0.31 oz: $28) – Didn’t really care much about this before as I was more focused on the ABH Soft Glam Eyeshadow Palette, but when I swatched this in-store I was immediately blown away. The golden shimmer is beautifully wearable, it’s glitzy and blinding but in a soft and natural way. Now I need this.

Marc Jacobs Beauty Glow Stick Glistening Illuminator (0.49 oz: $42) – This has been out for a long time and I’ve always wanted it. Every time I see this in the store, my heart breaks because its glow is so beautiful and so bold, and I feel like this time I’ve got to have this, you’ll never know when the situation calls for a dramatic glow highlighter.

Drunk Elephant Lippe Balm (0.13 oz: $18) – Been having some chapped lips issue lately due to the dry cold weather, and a lot of people are recommending me this. They said it’s effective and it works especially during dry lip seasons. So off this goes to my cart.

Chloé Nomade Eau de Parfum (mini/travel: $28, 1 oz: $75, 1.7 oz: $105, 2.5 oz: $132) – Ever since sniffing this in a magazine, I knew this scent is going to be perfect for me and it’s going to be a hit for everyone. I got a sample of this in-store as well and it’s really good. It’s not the typical Chloe scent, it’s more of a soft slightly sweet floral with something green and fresh. It’s different and unique.

Tom Ford Ultra Shine Lip Color ($54) – Heard very good news about this “another latest” from Tom Ford. They said all the shades in this range are so good, you can’t miss it. The pigments and longevity seem to be the big plus on this one. So I have my eyes set on the Nubile, Exuberant, and Luscious shade.

Dior Diorskin Forever Undercover Concealer ($34) – I’m really curious about this particular concealer. I have a feeling that it’s gonna be a really good one. But why do I feel like it might be similar to the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer? or at least that’s how I felt when I tried this in-store a few days ago. Oh well, let’s see when it finally reaches my home soon.

Hermès Eau de Pamplemousse Rose (3.3 oz Eau de Cologne Spray: $130, 3.3 oz Concentrate Eau de Toilette Spray: $138) – In-store, this was love at first spritz. Love the light citrusy floral smell. It’s an airy scent that is simple yet very dreamy. A perfect scent for this Spring and Summer. Definitely a must-have.

So, there you go guys, that’s what’s on my wishlist, but I bet that it’s only gonna be the first part. LOL. I finally got my Sephora Play! box this month and I couldn’t be more excited. However, I have mixed emotions about this month’s contents. I’m a bit dismayed because I feel like Sephora keeps me sending me the same one or two products over and over again. I wanted something new for a change, so I’m quite disappointed about that. On the other hand, I’m happy with the other products that I got because they’re something new, and it’s definitely fun to explore and test a product that you would never imagine trying before.

Check out what I got

Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb ($48) – If you love Belif’s The True Cream Aqua Bomb, then there’s no reason for you not to love this Moisturizing Eye Bomb. Its got the same refreshing irresistible scent that the Aqua Bomb has, and it’s really great to moisturize the skin around the eyes. It even soothes puffiness and it’s great to layer under eye makeup. It is gel-based but its hydration can go a long way. I love that this doesn’t have a sticky residue feel once it gets absorbed by the skin. Overall, this is such a good eye cream and I really love it, so I’m planning to have this in its regular size pretty soon.

Sephora Collection Rouge Matte Lipstick in Rebel Chic (0.10 oz: $7) – I’ve tried this lipstick line from Sephora before, but I’ve never tried the Rebel Chic color. At first, it seemed too much of a dark vampy red for me, but when I applied it to my lips, I was actually quite in love with the color. It’s vampy yeah, but it’s also a sexy vampy red wine shade. It’s not too emo or too gothic and it actually works quite well with my pigmented lips. The matte texture is comfortable, lightweight, and not so drying. I also kinda love the slight berry flavor of this lipstick, on top of that, the color doesn’t even bleed or transfer. I am definitely smitten with this.

Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Rose Gold (0.05 oz: $29) – I love Laura Mercier’s Caviar Stick Eyeshadows (swatches HERE), I think they’re one of the best eye contouring product you can buy nowadays, but when the mini rose gold color keeps appearing in some of my Sephora Play!, I feel like Sephora could do better at curating their subscription boxes, or at least pay attention to what has already been sent to their respective subscribers. Anyway, since I already have this Rose Gold shade in its regular size, I’m just gonna give it to someone else. I just hope Sephora would send me something new and something different next time.

NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Let’s Go Crazy (0.086 oz: $27) – While I’m not crazy about this vivid pink shade, I am actually in love with the texture of this matte lip pencil. The color is so bold, so pigmented, and so staining. I love how the color remained on my lips for hours and hours and it doesn’t feather. It’s also very easy to apply and line the lips because of its pencil design. However, I don’t like the fact that I have to sharpen this all the time. It would be nice if Nars would update the packaging and make it more of a twist type at least attach a built-in sharpener at the bottom.

Atelier Cologne Vanille Insensee Cologne Absolue Pure Perfume (mini/0.34 oz: $26, 1 oz: $85, 3.3 oz: $140, 6.7 oz: $235) – This may have been a repeat product from my previous Sephora Play, though I’m not quite sure. Anyway, I’m not really a vanilla scent fan because I don’t quite like the scent of most vanilla perfume’s drydown. But this Vanille Insensee from Atelier Cologne is different. It is subtle and it’s quite fresh, which doesn’t make my nose turn up. The blend of vanilla, jasmine, and lime is enough to make this scent distinctive, warm, and sophisticated. It’s definitely not your typical sweet vanilla type of scent, but more of a sexy, elegant, and stylish type. I feel like I could wear this and not get annoyed because the vanilla tone is not overpowering, and the drydown is quite powdery.

Peter Thomas Roth FIRMx Peeling Gel (3.4 oz: 48) – I’ve never heard of this product before, so imagine my excitement and curiosity when I received this in my Sephora Play! box. This gel has a faint fresh scent that looks like any other gel cleanser in the market but once you scrub this on your face, you’ll get a different kind of impression. This literally peeled and scrubbed off dead skin cells from the surface of my face. It polished my rough skin and it makes it so smooth, and ready for any moisturizer. I also noticed some of my blackheads and whiteheads resurfacing, which makes me conclude that this product is a very good exfoliator. Oh, I’m afraid I’ll be buying this in its full size soon.

That sums up all the products that I got for this month’s Sephora Play subscription box. As you can see, there’s are interesting products that I love, but there are also a few products that I wasn’t so crazy about. What did you get for this month’s Sephora Play?
