Tarte Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint Review

Happy Hearts Day Folks! I hope everyone’s feeling the love this V-day. Whether you’re gonna be an orphan or has a date in this day of love, make sure you slay your lip game. What better way to nail that perfect pout than to try Tarte’s newly-improved matte liquid lipsticks. Yes, their previous matte liquid lipsticks weren’t that good and they don’t really turn into a matte texture, swatched HERE. They’re still available and are called Tarteist Creamy Matte Lip Paints.

The newly-released and promising matte liquid lipsticks from Tarte are named Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paints. And yes, they’re true to their description. They do dry quickly. Like, really really quick, and they don’t budge. Only a waterproof micellar water or makeup remover could take these new lippies off. They come in different shades that are very wearable (lots of nudes and mauves) with a mild non-irritating vanilla scent. Each tube costs $20. Available HERE.

When Tarte released these Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint, I was so excited, because they really make good compatible colors that suit my skin tone, and we all know that their previous matte liquid lipsticks were not exactly what everyone hoped they’d turn out to be. Yet these new Quick Dry Matte Lip Paints deliver an almost perfect matte liquid lipstick in the same caliber as Kat Von D, Stila, Too faced, Smashbox and Anastasia. Well-pigmented, creamy, lightweight, waterproof, transfer-proof, long-lasting and quick-drying.

Rose´ – Rosy Nude. Looks more of a nude-beige shade on my pigmented lips, but not nude enough to make me look washed-out. The perfect nude shade for anyone with a neutral to warm skin tone.
Bounce – Rose Coral. Seems like a twin of Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Double Dare. A gorgeous blend of muted reddish/pinkish coral with a hint of cocoa. This color is so meant for Valentines.
Delish – Rosy Mauve. My favorite “my lips but better” in a matte liquid lipstick formulation. This simply gives my lips enough drama without looking like I’m vying for the Oscars, lol, joke. Definitely, this is not too bright and not too dark. Take note that this shade is quite similar to the Front Row shade, pictured on top.
Front Row – Deep Mauve. A shade almost identical to Delish, but slightly darker. This has a brownish tone, like a blend between Kat Von D Lolita and Lolita II. It is a beautiful shade especially for medium skin tones and can be worn for any occasion.

I really really like these new Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paints by Tarte. Although they focused quite a bit on having more nude colors, they also have a decent selection of muted mauves, cocoa browns and wearable reds in their newly-improved matte liquid lipstick line. Just a bit of drawback though, even though these lipsticks are almost perfect to me, they may feel a bit too drying sometimes, but that seems to be almost always the case with good matte liquid lipsticks. Something’s gotta give.

Tarte Tartelette In Bloom Clay Eyeshadow Palette Review

Hola! Bonjour! Hello! Winter is still here, but I cannot wait for Spring. I miss the smell of fresh blooming flowers and freshly cut grasses. But hey, while waiting for that to happen (soon), this beautiful, I mean really really beautiful Tartelette In Bloom Clay Eyeshadow palette from Tarte will truly make you wanna dream of spring and colorful sunny days.

This eyeshadow palette in sooo pretty, from its gilded packaging down to the rich colors of each eyeshadow, you can never take your eyes off this gorgeous Tartelette in Bloom. It’s got all you need for that perfect all-in-one eyeshadow palette. There are nine mattes and three shimmers that’ll surely flatter every skin tone. You can mix and match, create natural daytime looks or go bold without a care in the world. If you’re indecisive, you can always go by column or by row to follow the shades to use.

This is my first Tarte Eyeshadow and I am not disappointed at all. I’m amazed by its pigment, its softness and how good they look on my eyes. They’re blendable, buildable and long lasting. In fact, they kinda remind me of Lorac Pro, (reviewed HERE) which I also love. I adore the matte shades in this palette because they’re very versatile, and the shimmery shades are not over-the-top.

I can’t really say which shades I like the most. I enjoyed most of them, and I can’t wait to wear them often and wear them even more for spring.

This Tartelette In Bloom is truly a great eyeshadow palette and should be a must have. I swear it, cross my heart and cross my feet. ????

Tarte Lip Facial Lip Scrub Review

What’s Up Honey Bunchkins! I have searched far and wide for a good lip scrub that will help me deal with my drying Sahara Desert lips. ???? Oh well, at least the Sahara looks smooth, mine looks like, hmmm…never mind. My descriptions are not for the faint of heart, LOL. Anyway, I had my choices narrowed down to Givenchy Mister Lip Scrub (just because it’s Givenchy, ya know ????), Bite Beauty Agave Lip Scrub, Tarte Maracuja Lip Exfoliant, Ilia Balmy Nights and another Tarte Lip Facial Scrub.

Which one did I choose? All of the above. Joke. As you can see, I went and bought this Tarte Lip Facial Lip Scrub and Lip Whatevs. Basing on the reviews, this particular lip scrub seems to be the most liked among all the lip scrubs I was interested in. Also, I like its twist-up design, so I don’t have to double dip my fingers on the product. You know, it’s wrong to double dip. A lot of people died of double dipping. Hahaha, whatever that double dipping means. But hey, for hygienic purposes, always wash your hands before dipping your fingers into your beauty products. ???? K?

So yeah, I did end up with this Tarte Lip Scrub and I am not disappointed. It really revived my dry lips, took away the dead skin and resurrected it back to dear life. I just swipe and scrub this a bit on my chapped lips, wipe off the excess, and voila! exfoliation down to its core. I got smooth baby soft lips galore! Oh, and did I mention how yummy this tastes? it’s like peppermint candy, and honestly, you could eat this thing. It’s basically sugar.

Like the grainy sugary texture above, this Tarte Lip Facial Lip Scrub is definitely now part of my holy grail products. I couldn’t say any negative thing about this lip scrub. I definitely think that it’s worth it and it’ll save and condition your lips, plus it’ll make your liquid lipstick application better.
