Tony Moly Pocket Bunny Mist Review

Are you a fan of face mists? Oh I know I am. Before, I didn’t really see the use of them and had been wondering why one would need such. But there’s a lot to love about face mists and I am an eternal convert to them.

Tony Moly Pocket Bunny Mist Review

In the past, the only face mist I’ve ever tried was Urban Decay’s All Nighter Setting Spray, which I’m still using right now as my favorite makeup setting spray of all time. I’m in love with that setting spray, and it does set my makeup to last for hours, but there were times when I needed to use something to refresh my skin in the middle of the day, or to make it glowy. I also wanted something to keep my face hydrated during long haul flights, which can really suck the life out of your skin. I’ve tested several face mists a couple of times lately, and it’s true that not all face mists are created equal. Some are meant as primers, while some are meant to be used only during dry seasons, while there are also some that are only meant to refresh and hydrate skin.

As someone with a somewhat oily skin, I still use a face mist regularly to make my skin look fresh and slightly dewy. There’s a couple of face mists that I like during my tests, and they will be slowly reviewed here in the blog. For now, my go to, every day, all around face mist is the Tony Moly Pocket Bunny Sleek Mist. I know, the packaging is SO cute and there’s substantial product in its decent-sized container. There’s two kinds of this particular face mist; The Sleek Mist (absorbs excess oil) and The Moist Mist (provides lasting hydration). I have the Sleek Mist, which suits my skin better.

The Tony Moly Pocket Bunny Sleek Mist not only absorbs and controls oils, but it also hydrates, evens out powder foundations, non-drying, and sets the makeup as well. It has a nice and relaxing baby powder scent to it. It is also formulated with antioxidants and hydrating ingredients to keep the skin light, fresh and never greasy. The only downside is that you may need to apply this often as it tends to dissolve or evaporate fairly easily, specially during cold or dry seasons. Also, the bunny cap may not be secure enough to cover the spray nozzle with time, which luckily hasn’t happened to me yet, although I know some people who complained about it. On the other hand, another great thing about this face mist is its price. It is priced well at $15 for 60 ml. It’s not very pocket size, but it’s great enough to be a travel size. Also, it’s a K-beauty staple. I mean, who couldn’t resist admiring K-beauty brands and products?

Any face mists that you like?

Sephora Play! December 2016 Box

Happy New Year! but before we completely let go of 2016, let’s talk about one last thing. Nope, not your New Year’s Resolution just yet. Let’s take a look back at The Sephora Play December 2016 Box contents and review, which took quite a while to arrive, but here it is! 🙂

So what did I get? A bunch of stuff that I really like, and had a lot of fun trying, though I wish, they could’ve sent more, LOL! By the way, last month’s theme is “The Partygoers.” Makes sense right? December is full of festivities and gatherings, so better have something gorgeous and party-appropriate beauty products to try.

Here’s what I got:

  1. Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray: Already have this and has been diligently using this to set my makeup. Recently, I ran out of this setting spray and was planning to repurchase but thanks to this Sephora Play Box, I got a pretty decent travel size of this particular product. Let me tell you, this stuff works and it really makes your makeup last all day and all night, even if you’re already walking side to side. LOL.
  2. Elizabeth And James Nirvana Bourbon Eu de Parfum: With vanilla bourbon, oakwood and tuberose. It’s a musky and woody scent. The thing is, this scent is too manly for me, and I’m no fan of musky fragrances. So this perfume will be a miss for me.
  3. Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain (Always Red): Some of the colors were already reviewed HERE. I’ve always love the formulation and texture of Sephora’s Creamy Lip Stains, but this shade of red doesn’t work for my skin tone.
  4. Make Up For Ever Step 1 Skin Equalizer Smoothing Primer: Not only this primer is meant to help the skin achieve a smooth and balanced texture plus making your makeup last for a very long time, it also smells heavenly good. Like a very fragrant soap but has the texture of most Make Up For Ever primers. Will definitely buy it in full-size.
  5. Drybar “Detox” Dry Shampoo: Love this dry shampoo so much. It smells good and not yucky, and it feels lightweight on the hair. It didn’t make my hair look more oily or heavy, instead, it made it look shiny and lightweight as if extending the life of my hair for another day. Ya know what I mean…
  6. Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara: Love the wand of this mascara. It’s small and tapered and is great for Asian eyes because it allows for a much precise application. Also, the formula doesn’t clump nor smudge and is very buildable.

Hello 2017! May this be a good year for all of us!

Now tell me, what’s your New Year Resolution? less makeup hauls? Doubt it… LOL

Ciao for now…
