Charlotte Tilbury Look of Love and Tinted Love Collection Review + Swatches

Halu there! Happy warm summer days. Some of the latest Charlotte Tilbury collections are beaming with love and beauty. Their latest Look of Love palettes are gorgeous, and so are the Tinted Love Lip and Cheek Tints. These collections are well-done, and if you are not a fan of the Tilbury makeup yet, well, these might help you change your mind :-). Personally, I love all their matte revolution lipsticks, or should I say, anything “matte” from CTilbury. I also love their all-in-one face palettes because they are so convenient to use. It is like that palette where everything you need to look bee-you-ti-ful is right there in one gorgeous compact.

So, let us see what beauties we will discover in these “full of love” collections.

Look of Love Collection:

Matte Revolution Lipstick: Same formula as the famous CTilbury matte lipsticks.

Wedding Belles – Rosebud pink. This color looks a shade deeper than the Pillow Talk matte revolution lipstick. The photos and swatches shown online, both from Sephora and CTilbury’s site, do not actually capture this lipstick’s actual color. I would call this a slightly rosy, warm, medium, everyday nude lipstick. Complicated eh?

Mrs. Kisses – Golden peach. I am not sure if this shade can be truly described as a golden peach. I would say that this is more of a vintage medium rose, which has a very similar tone to the Wedding Belles shades above, especially when swatched on my arm. On the lips, and in reality, this lipstick is a shade deeper than Wedding Belles.

Instant Look in a Palette, Pretty Blushed – Gorgeous everyday palette in which you can never go wrong with each shade. This particular palette will work best for those with fair to medium skin tone. For those with very warm or deeper skin tones, the Glowing Beauty is the best option. There are seven shades in this palette: 3 for the eyes, 3 for the face, and 1 for the cheeks. I love the setting powder (No. 7) and the cheek shade, along with the highlighter (No.5 shade). For the eyeshadow, you can play and combine the shades, and they will still look good on the lids.

Tinted Love Collection:

Lip and Cheek Tint: Can be used on the lips or the cheeks, or both. The formula is very fluid and tends to set quickly. Some shades can be slightly streaky when applied to the lips. No transfer or smudging noticed. CTilbury is not kidding on the staying power of these. The colors stayed on the following day.

Santa Euphoria – Nude brown. This shade is almost non-existent on my lips but looks great on my cheeks. As a lipstick, this would be fitting for those with fair to light skintone.

Petal Pink – Soft rosebud pink. I thought this shade would also not show on my lips. But, I am surprised by how it softly shows, almost like an everyday natural rosy lip color. On the cheeks, this gives a nice healthy flush.

Bohemian Kiss – Peachy brown. I like this color a lot. It fits well for anybody with a warm medium skintone, and will probably look more like a nude shade for those with deeper complexions. I think this might be the color I will constantly use among all of the shades in the Tinted Love Lip/Cheek Tint collection, especially as a lipstick.

Tripping on Love – Cherry red. I am not exactly sure if this color can be described as cherry red. An overripe cherry red for sure, but not a bright freshly-picked cherry. Surprisingly, I love this shade a lot because this belongs to my favorite spectrum of red lipsticks — the wine reds. I recommend this in the Fall as a lipstick.

Lots of heart eyes for these Charlotte Tilbury collections. I love everything, and I highly recommend them. Having at least one of the all-in-one face palettes is a good investment. The same is true for the Lip and Cheek Tint. And if mattes are your go-tos, try any of their matte revolution lipsticks.

Random Lipstick Review

Hello, sunshine! How are you all on these warm summer days? I hope you are all taking the time to chill and unwind. I have a quick review to share, and these are the lipsticks or lip products I have accumulated lately. I am not exactly sure where I got them. Some of them may have been given/gifted to me or purchased by me. I just do not remember anymore, but I have been looking at them and thought it might be a good idea to test them, talk about them, and see what my ultimate faves are.

Nars Audacious Sheer Matte Lipstick in Mathilde – I think this was gifted to me. I am absolutely in love with the packaging of this lipstick. The bold shade of red with black butterflies swirling around the tube is so eye-catching. What an alluring packaging for a lipstick. Also, the product itself is really nice. It is indeed a true sheer matte lipstick that is light, but it packs a good pigment. It does not feel dry on the lips, yet it gives a blotted lip effect. The shade of the lipstick is another story. I do not think that the shade Mathilde fits me well. I think a deeper shade would be better.

Ilia Color Block Lipstick in Amberlight – Ahhh, this lipstick’s shade is purrrfect for my skintone. The shade is a blend of rose and somewhat brownish, which adds warmth to my skin. I would call this my everyday nude. The finish has a sheen to it, but it is not overly shiny. The packaging may seem understated, but I do not mind. After all, real beauty or talent can only be appreciated if you look close enough and not get distracted by the ones in front of you all the time.

Tom Ford Lip Color Satin Matte in To Die For – A beautiful lip color that is ideal for this summer. The shade is like watermelon-pink, which is a fun shade to wear. However, personally, I find this shade to be fitting for the younger generation. The packaging is a cute vintage pink which I love, but this will not be my ride-or-die lipstick anymore. Perhaps, a deeper shade will work better for me. Casablanca, I am looking at you, lol.

Lancome L’Absolu Rouge in Peut-Être – Ohhh, I call this the “Goblin lipstick” because this lipstick with this shade was featured in the Goblin kdrama series, a.k.a Guardian: The Lonely and Great God. If you have not watched the series, then you must. I highly recommend it. Now, back to the lipstick. I love the shade. It is an everyday mauve shade that seems to blend with the lips’ natural color. The shine is another story. I find the finish to be too shiny, but I still love the lipstick a lot.

Glow Recipe Pop Lip Balm in Blueberry – Pretty sure I purchased this myself. I have been curious about the hype of this lip product. This is not really a lipstick. This is a lip balm, and this is everywhere on Instagram. I love the simple yet pretty packaging of this balm, and from the way this looks, one might think that this adds a hint of color to the lips. But this does not. Nada. I thought at first that it is because I already have a natural pigment on my lips. However, other folks have observed the same thing as well. So, I just use this as a basic lip balm and lip scrub hybrid because this has some gritty texture. Swatching this will not show any color at all.

Nars Summer Solstice Eyeshadow + Cheek Duo, Air Matte Lip Color Review + Swatches

Hello there, sunny weather! How are you all? The weather is giving us some good vibes lately, and I cannot wait to take a short summer vacay. I do not know yet where I am going, but I am going on a vacay. Worst case scenario, I can always have a vacay in my backyard while watching Run BTS all day and all night long (hello Chim Chim, lol).

I have a quick review to share in this post. Nars has released some exciting makeup lately for us beauty junkies. I am excited about their Summer Solstice palettes and Air Matte Lip Colors. Do not even get me started on the Orgasm On The Beach Cheek Palette. It is fabulous, right? I have it and will review it soon.

Summer Solstice Eyeshadow Palette – Beautiful palette filled with warm rusty copper tones. It is so pretty to look at and to apply. All the textures of all the shades are creamy, including the glittery ones. There is minimal fallout, but overall, this is a solid palette. I would say that this could be even more perfect for Fall and sort of slightly similar to the Pat McGrath Bronze Seduction eyeshadow.

Summer Solstice Cheek Duo – One of the best highlighter and bronzer duo I have ever tried. Both shades appear to be subtle on my skin, but I like it that way. I am not a big fan of highly pigmented bronzers on my face. I like the ones that are medium in tone and intensity yet good enough to be used as contouring as well. The texture of this is soft, and it does not move the foundation away.

Air Matte Lip Color – A limited edition matte liquid lipstick from Nars. I love this a lot, and I wish this will stay permanent. This is a lot like the Powermatte Lip Pigment in terms of color saturation, but the texture is more cushiony, more comfortable, and definitely less drying. See the shades below.

All Yours – light to medium nude. Too nude for my taste.
Joyride – peachy coral. Such a cute shade for the summer.
Shag – rose. My ideal lip color.
Chaser – mauve. Perfect dramatic shade for Fall.
