Wet N Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick Review + Swatches

Bon dia everyone! As what I’ve mentioned on Instagram, here’s the review for the Wet n Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipsticks ($4.99). I’ve been testing these for several weeks now and these lipsticks are very creamy and so pigmented but they dry into a matte finish that won’t budge, crease-proof, and waterproof.

Never underestimate the lasting power of these drugstore lipsticks because they are legit. I mean, these are really tough to remove but they’re not necessarily drying on the lips. A lot of the lighter colors may be somewhat streaky and will need 2 or 3 wipes to get a full coverage, but the medium to dark shades are really creamy, well-pigmented, and comfortable on the lips once they dry.

Like most matte liquid lipsticks, the Wet n Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuits are also lightweight and they dry fastly. Additionally, I like their wand applicators because they’re sturdy and they make it quite easy to line the lips. For an affordable drugstore lipstick, the Wet n Wild MegaLast Catsuit Matte Lipstick is a huge deal that won’t disappoint.

Wet N Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick 921B nudist peach 922B coral corruption 923B pink really hard

There are several interesting colors from this line and I really like them all. I also enjoyed the light vanilla scent that comes with these matte liquid lipsticks, and the packaging is pretty simple and sturdy as well. I also like that it comes in a decent size even if it has a really cheap price.

921B Nudist Peach – Very light sort of neon peach

922B Coral Corruption – Mid Coral Peach. A darker version of Nudist Peach

923B Pink Really Hard – Bright neon barbie-pink

924B Rebel Rose – Rosy Mauve

925B Give Me Mocha – Terracotta Brick Red Brown

930B Missy and Fierce – Blue-toned Vivid Red

I’m pretty sure you’ve already guessed which colors I liked by now. All three darker colors in the second row are really my fave. Their formulations are creamier, non-streaky, and more even than the lighters ones above. The Rebel Rose shade is just gorge for day or night look, and Give Me Mocha is simply stunning and quite sexy. Missy and Fierce are very commanding and striking as well.

I definitely think that these Wet n Wild MegaLast Catsuit Matte Lipsticks are really worth it. Aside from being affordable, they really have a good quality that I personally think could belong to any Sephora/Ulta or any other high-end beauty stores. These are kiss-proof, waterproof, transfer-proof and bulletproof, LOL. I love that these literally dry in about 2 seconds, give or take, and the longevity is amazing. I didn’t notice any stickiness on the formulation and they’re pretty much comfortable to wear.

These are the kind of lipsticks that you can hoard without feeling the guilt, and they’re pretty easy to find. They could be at your local grocery store or in any drugstores near you. Although, due to their popularity and good quality, some shades may be sold out already (fingers crossed).

Rouge Dior Matte Lipsticks Review

Since my last “Samples of The Week” Review, I’ve been testing a few Rouge Dior Matte Finish Lipsticks. But, in order to do that, I needed to try and swatch them in real life and see the colors exactly with my own eyes. I’ve seen these lippies before and I’ve even swatched them several times before, but I just couldn’t bring myself to purchase one because I find the shades to be mostly in the reddish side. I wasn’t bothered by the texture nor the scent, but I wanted more warm neutrals, muted plums, rosewoods and brick tones in it, so I guess I waited a bit more to see if there were more shades being released.

Fortunately, it seems like Dior’s been listening and they’ve released a couple of limited edition shades every season. These shades are somewhat more inclined to my fancy and with my recent Samples of The Week Post (found HERE), I fell in love with the Rouge Dior 772 Classic Matte Shade. This whole lineup of Rouge Dior Matte Finish Lipsticks have more variety of shades now than when it was reformulated and released I think about a year ago. In fact, the whole range of Rouge Dior Lipsticks have been reformulated and enhanced with more shades to choose from. Apart from the popular matte finish, these lipsticks also come in satin finishes and shimmers as well.

Packaging is really sleek. These lipsticks come in black/silver tube with a black cap on the outside and red lining inside. I don’t dislike the scent, but some may find it to be too much. At first, I thought they smell a bit like baby powder and cotton candy, but the more I use them, I sensed the hint of musky jasmine in it. The texture can be a bit drying as I’ve said before, but it’s lightweight and pretty much long-lasting. They’re well pigmented too. Mine lasts 4-6 hours of wear with some traces of colors still visible on my lips. The price is perhaps one of the main caveat of these lipsticks. Each costs $35 so you really need to choose wisely. Other than that, I really enjoyed these lippies and I recommend them to each and every one of you.

Rouge Dior Matte Lipsticks Review

  • 772 Classic Matte – A neutral muted pinkish shade that I first fell in love with upon trying it from a sample. It’s the perfect everyday lip color and it doesn’t look over the top. Definitely a classic shade that works for any skin tone.
  • 745 Terrific Matte – A muted rosewood shade that is probably my most favorite color of all the Rouge Dior Matte Finish lipstick line. This shade might be kinda hard to find because I think this is a limited edition for Spring 2017, so I’d better stock up on this color asap.
  • 951 Absolute Matte – I love red lipsticks, but bright reds don’t love me, lol. Red bricks do. So I went and took this shade with me home. I love muted reds and this shade is the best red I could pull off.

Overall, I love these Rouge Dior Matte Lipsticks much. If you can stomach the price, I think they’re reliable and so worth it, just don’t sell your kidney for it, lol! Anyhow, I recommend you try at least one or two perhaps and see it for yourself. Alrighty?

Giorgio Armani Beauty Lip Magnet Lipsticks Review

Hi Guys! OMG!!! Be still my heart… This is gonna be a thrilling review. Finally, here’s my take on the Giorgio Armani Beauty Lip Magnet Lipsticks. Oh my, I could die right now, I literally have a defib in my other arm, but not yet, I have to do this review. So anyway, let’s get this thing going.

armani lip magnet review

There isn’t any other lipsticks that’s in demand right now (specially in Sephora) other than the Giorgio Armani Lip Magnets. I mean, there could be others, but these stuff have always been out of stock, restocked, out of stock again, and then back in stock but not with all colors since the start of their release. I swear I wanted to buy them all at the beginning, but I can’t, and the colors I liked were already gone, so I had to wait for them to be available again, not to mention that they’re really pricey for $38 at 0.13 oz.

My first impressions with these Giorgio Armani Lip Magnets are; First, they don’t have a distinctive scent, in fact, I couldn’t almost smell anything, if there is, it’s just the very very light almost indistinctive fruity-floral scent, but I could hardly smell it all. I also thought it smelled a bit like an alcohol, but very very faintly to none. Second, the triangular wand applicator is just amazingly study and allows for a precise application, but it’s kinda short. Third, these are matte liquid lipsticks, but their textures and formulations are not like most matte lipsticks. They’re very fluid-like, extremely lightweight, have very good pigments, but it takes a while to dry down to a matte texture.

Giorgio armani lip magnet swatches 403 505403 VibratoRich Brick Red. This looks like a very dark blood-like red in the tube, but it’s dries down to a muted cherry red. There’s a lot of reds in this Giorgio Armani Lip Magnet line starting from the 400 shade, but this 403 color being the darkest is the one that suits my pigmented lips with a medium or warm undertone.

505 Second SkinVibrant Rose. A simple and light shade of pinkish coral that’s great as an everyday lip color. This color is not really my lip’s second skin shade as I find this to be a bit brighter than what I’d like it to be. I didn’t notice the rose shade though, but this color is definitely great for a more natural daytime look.

Giorgio armani lip magnet swatches 506 507

506 FusionMedium Pink Mauve. This shade is the 505 shade above but more muted since it has a very slight mauve undertone. Being an NC25 to 30, I think I prefer this shade a lot better than 505 for my everyday lip color.

507 GarconneMauve Berry. A lot of people love this shade, specially the ones whose lips have pigments like moi. Simply because these would look like our pigmented lips but better and with a hint of muted pink-berry tone. As for me, this color is like my second skin.

Giorgio armani lip magnet swatches 600 602

600 Front-RowRich Berry. I wasn’t feeling this shade when I first swatched it on my arm, because it seems a bit too dark or too brown. But I bought it anyway because I’m cray cray, and guess what? I was so surprised by how it looks on my lips. It’s not bad at all. In fact, this mauve and brown-berry shade looks really good on my medium skintone. I would say, this is like the 507 shade but darker and with a bit of brown. L.O.V.E I.T.

602 Night ViperDeep Purple Berry. An extremely pigmented, dark purple and almost-violet-pink shade that is so hard to take off. I’ve already used different waterproof makeup removers to remove this lip magnet, but still, my lips were left with a sort of dark neon-pink shade as a stain. I haven’t seen such pigmented lip color like this particular shade. In fact, the one’s I swatched on my arm took about 2 days and probably a half more to completely fade away. Of all the shades of the Giorgio Armani Lip Magnets reviewed here, this 602 shade is the most pigmented of them all. Hmmm, I may have to soak my lips in waterproof makeup remover for days. Oh no!

In conclusion, I like the lightweight texture of these Giorgio Armani Lip Magnets a lot. Although I wouldn’t mind if these were a bit creamy because these would have helped make the lips look fuller by filling in the lip lines, specially for people with imbalanced lips. But the textures of these Lip Magnets may not allow that because it’s kinda watery thin. Also, some of the color’s textures might be a bit streaky at first application, but applying a second coat will solve the issue. I love the color payoff of these lippies very much, no arguing with that, but they take a while to dry down and it’s not true that once settled on your lips, they won’t budge. They can be easily moved and they definitely don’t last for 8 hours without reapplication. I suggest grabbing the dark colors because they tend to last the longest. Still, these are top of the line high quality matte lipsticks that won’t dry your lips unlike most matte liquid lipsticks nowadays.
