There are several flavors and grains to choose from. The Lentil Chips come in four different flavors, and so far, I’ve only tried the Sea Salt and it has a nice subtle lentil taste. It’s not overly salty and it has a nice smooth yet crispy texture. It also smells slightly like lentil and overall, it’s a great light snack with 40 % less fat than potato chips.

The Quinoa Chips are my top favorites and there are five flavors; Sea Salt, Barbeque, Cheddar, Sour Cream & Onion, and Salt & Vinegar. My most favorite are the Barbeque flavored ones because they’re sweet and tangy and each chip is really coated with such bursting-in-your-mouth flavoring. My next favorite is the Cheddar flavor because it tastes sharp like a true cheddar cheese. The Sea Salt is a milder flavor for those who doesn’t like strong tastes on their chips. The texture and taste of these Quinoa chips don’t taste like Quinoa chips at all. It has more of a corn-like texture and it doesn’t have the bitter Quinoa aftertaste, which is good.

For Kale lovers, this is a great Kale snack for you. These chips have strong Kale scent and aftertaste regardless of whether it’s Olive Oil flavored or Sea Salt. I’m not really a fan of anything Kale but I think these might suit your fancy. Each chip has a rigid and crunchy texture and is rich in Vitamin K. So, go get your greens.

The Hummus and Veggie Chips are also very interesting tastes. The Hummus Chips are slightly similar to the Lentil Chips but with bolder flavors. It comes in the usual Sea Salt flavor, Roasted Red Pepper, Spicy Chili Pepper, and Roasted Garlic. It’s also 50 % less fat than regular Potato Chips. Meanwhile, the newly-released Veggie Chips which come in Original and Ranch flavor are made of organic potatoes, spinach, tomato and is only 130 calories per serving. The original flavor has a mild and light taste.

This Cuisinart ICE-70 is one of my favorite kitchen appliances and I always handle it with care. It’s very easy to use and it only takes a couple of minutes of your time (maximum of 60 minutes), which can be adjusted using the arrow keys. It has a countdown timer and it shuts off automatically. It also has a detachable frozen bowl that is not that heavy and needs to be frozen for at least overnight.

Cuisinart ICE-70 Electronic Ice Cream Maker review

This can create amazing and tasty ice creams for 25 minutes, sorbets (40 mins), and gelatos (30) with just a press of a button. Easy Peasy. Also, the machine is not that noisy and it can make a substantial 2 quarts or equivalent to 4 pints of frozen goodies.

Here’s the recipe of my simple and quick Homemade Cookies N’ Cream with Marshmallow Ice Cream using the Cuisinart ICE-70. This recipe is very easy to do and it makes about 2 pints of this delicious and light ice cream.

Cuisinart ICE-70 Electronic Ice Cream Maker

2 cups either Fat-Free Milk or 2% Reduced-Fat Milk

1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream

1/4 Cup Sugar or Natural Sweeter like Truvia Baking Blend.

10 pieces Oreo Cookies, crushed.

1 cup small Marshmallows.

  1. Make sure the frozen bowl has been frozen overnight and place it into the machine.
  2. Plug In your Cuisinart ICE-70 and press the Ice Cream button.
  3. Pour the 2 cups fat-free or 2% milk.

Cuisinart ICE-70 Electronic Ice Cream Maker          4.  Followed by the 1 cup heavy whipping cream.

        5. Press the Start button. Notice the machine’s frozen bowl will start to whirl.

6.You may add some Oreos and Marshmallows preliminary. Take note that this will change the color of your milk and whipping cream mixture into something slightly grayish like a cement. LOL. (Just like mine in the picture). If you don’t like that, then you can add the cookies and marshmallow later when there’s about 3 minutes left.

       7. Observe for 10 minutes. Notice the mixture getting thicker and thicker.

        9. Add the rest of the Oreos and Marshmallows when there’s 3 minutes left.

Cuisinart ICE-70 Electronic Ice Cream Maker            10. Enjoy! You can serve it now or freeze it for later.

Note: If you want the ice cream to be even thicker and creamier, you can add more heaving whipping cream, which will further increase the calories.

The Cuisinart ICE-70 Electronic Ice Cream Maker is available in Crate & Barrel, JCPenney, Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, Williams-Sonoma, and

Happy Summer Guys!

Baetea Detox Tea Review

What’s Up My Dear Readers! I’m pretty sure that all of us have been making weight loss a top priority in our list at every start of a new year. We always plan, dream, imagine and had been crossing our fingers and our hearts that this year is gonna be the year that we will finally transform. And of course we do our best, but then it’s hard to keep up. Life happens, sh”t happens, and uh-oh…we forgot we had to diet. Also, sometimes, no matter what you do, no matter how hard you try to diet and exercise, even how hard you starve and felt like dying, still it’s so darn hard to loose the weight, or at least to feel and look fit.

Wouldn’t it be nice to get a bit of help to jumpstart our ultimate weight loss plan, but not in a drastic way, but in a more natural way? Enter Baetea. One of the latest “detox” or “teatox” tea that has been making noises in the “au naturel” detoxifying/slimming tea market nowadays.

baetea detox tea review

As someone who has been feeling like “I’ve eaten a ton of crap lately and needs to feel fit while loosing some junk in the trunk”, I was on a mission for a very good natural and detoxifying tea to incorporate with my daily activities. I’ve actually looked everywhere, far and wide, but most of them seemed quite scary. They all seem to have that “laxative” effect, which I was not a fan of, because then that would be such a hassle. Imagine working and needing to take a dump every couple of seconds? (minutes if you’re lucky) LOL ????

I found Baetea via It’s one of their bestselling detox tea, and the reviews were really good. I was drawn by the ingredients which seemed promising, like Oolong (proven for weight loss), Garcinia Cambodia Cambogia (studied for weight loss) and Machete Matcha Tea to mention a few. The Baetea does contain some caffeine and should be taken once a day. Mine is a 14 day detox pack, but they also sell a 28 day pack. Just throw in 1 bag to a cup of hot water, leave it to infuse for 3-5 minutes and drink it upon rising in the morning or before a workout.

baetea review teatox

In my 14 day experience with Baetea, I noticed that it seems to act like an appetite suppressant, but not so much so that you won’t feel the need to eat. I still feel hungry and all, but I tend to feel full quite easily and I also don’t snack as much. Which means less cravings, hallelujah! I also feel like I have more energy, and it doesn’t make me want to go to the bathroom often. The taste is not bad at all. It has a lemon or lemongrass scent with some herbs. It’s refreshing and a lot milder compared to other detox tea. As far as weight loss is concerned, “14 day” is not enough to gauge a real weight loss, but with all the temptations of eating out with friends even though I worked out like a rabid dog, I may have lost 1-2 lbs. But who’s to say, it could be water weight after all, you know. But one thing is for sure, I have not gained any junk in the trunk so far. I’m also planning to continue with this tea for a few weeks more to completely see the result. Will update you soon…

Take note that while this tea seems to work in my favor, your experience could be entirely different, and I suggest that you give this Baetea a try and see yourself. Available HERE.
