Glow Recipe Pop Lip Balm in Blueberry

Hello, sunshine! How are you all on these warm summer days? I hope you are all taking the time to chill and unwind. I have a quick review to share, and these are the lipsticks or lip products I have accumulated lately. I am not exactly sure where I got them. Some of them may have been given/gifted to me or purchased by me. I just do not remember anymore, but I have been looking at them and thought it might be a good idea to test them, talk about them, and see what my ultimate faves are.

Nars Audacious Sheer Matte Lipstick in Mathilde swatch

Nars Audacious Sheer Matte Lipstick in Mathilde – I think this was gifted to me. I am absolutely in love with the packaging of this lipstick. The bold shade of red with black butterflies swirling around the tube is so eye-catching. What an alluring packaging for a lipstick. Also, the product itself is really nice. It is indeed a true sheer matte lipstick that is light, but it packs a good pigment. It does not feel dry on the lips, yet it gives a blotted lip effect. The shade of the lipstick is another story. I do not think that the shade Mathilde fits me well. I think a deeper shade would be better.

Ilia Color Block Lipstick in Amberlight – Ahhh, this lipstick’s shade is purrrfect for my skintone. The shade is a blend of rose and somewhat brownish, which adds warmth to my skin. I would call this my everyday nude. The finish has a sheen to it, but it is not overly shiny. The packaging may seem understated, but I do not mind. After all, real beauty or talent can only be appreciated if you look close enough and not get distracted by the ones in front of you all the time.

Tom Ford Lip Color Satin Matte in To Die For – A beautiful lip color that is ideal for this summer. The shade is like watermelon-pink, which is a fun shade to wear. However, personally, I find this shade to be fitting for the younger generation. The packaging is a cute vintage pink which I love, but this will not be my ride-or-die lipstick anymore. Perhaps, a deeper shade will work better for me. Casablanca, I am looking at you, lol.

Lancome L’Absolu Rouge in Peut-Être –  Ohhh, I call this the “Goblin lipstick” because this lipstick with this shade was featured in the Goblin kdrama series, a.k.a Guardian: The Lonely and Great God. If you have not watched the series, then you must. I highly recommend it. Now, back to the lipstick. I love the shade. It is an everyday mauve shade that seems to blend with the lips’ natural color. The shine is another story. I find the finish to be too shiny, but I still love the lipstick a lot.

Glow Recipe Pop Lip Balm in Blueberry – Pretty sure I purchased this myself. I have been curious about the hype of this lip product. This is not really a lipstick. This is a lip balm, and this is everywhere on Instagram. I love the simple yet pretty packaging of this balm, and from the way this looks, one might think that this adds a hint of color to the lips. But this does not. Nada. I thought at first that it is because I already have a natural pigment on my lips. However, other folks have observed the same thing as well. So, I just use this as a basic lip balm and lip scrub hybrid because this has some gritty texture. Swatching this will not show any color at all.

Nars Summer Solstice Eyeshadow + Cheek Duo, Air Matte Lip Color Review + Swatches

Summer Solstice Palette review

Hello there, sunny weather! How are you all? The weather is giving us some good vibes lately, and I cannot wait to take a short summer vacay. I do not know yet where I am going, but I am going on a vacay. Worst case scenario, I can always have a vacay in my backyard while watching Run BTS all day and all night long (hello Chim Chim, lol).

Nars Summer Solstice review

I have a quick review to share in this post. Nars has released some exciting makeup lately for us beauty junkies. I am excited about their Summer Solstice palettes and Air Matte Lip Colors. Do not even get me started on the Orgasm On The Beach Cheek Palette. It is fabulous, right? I have it and will review it soon.

Nars Summer Solstice Eyeshadow Palette

Summer Solstice Eyeshadow Palette – Beautiful palette filled with warm rusty copper tones. It is so pretty to look at and to apply. All the textures of all the shades are creamy, including the glittery ones. There is minimal fallout, but overall, this is a solid palette. I would say that this could be even more perfect for Fall and sort of slightly similar to the Pat McGrath Bronze Seduction eyeshadow.

Nars Summer Solstice Cheek Duo

Summer Solstice Cheek Duo – One of the best highlighter and bronzer duo I have ever tried. Both shades appear to be subtle on my skin, but I like it that way. I am not a big fan of highly pigmented bronzers on my face. I like the ones that are medium in tone and intensity yet good enough to be used as contouring as well. The texture of this is soft, and it does not move the foundation away.

Nars Air Matte Lip Color review

Air Matte Lip Color –  A limited edition matte liquid lipstick from Nars. I love this a lot, and I wish this will stay permanent. This is a lot like the Powermatte Lip Pigment in terms of color saturation, but the texture is more cushiony, more comfortable, and definitely less drying. See the shades below.

Nars Air Matte Lip Color

  • All Yours – light to medium nude. Too nude for my taste.
  • Joyride – peachy coral. Such a cute shade for the summer.
  • Shag – rose. My ideal lip color.
  • Chaser – mauve. Perfect dramatic shade for Fall.

There goes my short and quick review of the Nars Summer Solstice Palettes and the Air Matte Lip Colors. Have you tried any of these palettes already? What are your favorite Nars Lipsticks or Liquid Lip Colors?

Loving Right Now. Spring 2021 Favorites

Rare Beauty Stay Vulnerable Melting Cream Blush in Nearly Neutral

Hello, my friends. I have finally gathered some of my Spring faves in beauty, home, and skincare. Stay tuned for my Summer faves soon.

Clio Pro Eye Shadow Palette in Botanic Mauve SKZ makeup

Clio Pro Eye Shadow Palette in Botanic Mauve – For all of us SKZ fans out there, I can tell you that this is truly a pretty palette with pretty matte mauve tones. I like the packaging. However, this only comes with a narrow horizontal mirror. The brush that comes with this is not much of a good use because it does not pick up enough product. Therefore, I recommend that you try this with a different brush or with your little finger. You can also apply this wet on the lids

Gucci Poudre De Beauté Mat Naturel Setting Powder

Rare Beauty Stay Vulnerable Melting Cream Blush in Nearly Neutral – Described as a soft neutral pink, according to Rare Beauty. This blush’s presentation and gorgeous packaging are giving me life. I wish I took this with me to the hospital, lol. I love the nearly neutral shade because it is not extreme in pigment yet noticeable enough for daily use. It gives a slight flush on the cheeks, but it will not make you look like a Pokémonster, hahaha.

Gucci Poudre De Beauté Mat Naturel Setting Powder

  •       Poudre De Beauté Mat Naturel Setting Powder – a matte setting powder with exquisite packaging. I really like the way this sets on my skin. This sets lightly and gives a natural look. Absorbing excess oil and did not give me any breakouts. I also use this as a mattifying powder, and the effect is naturally glowy.
  •       Poudre De Beauté Bronzing Powder – I am not a bronzer fan, but I am a sucker for this, and again because of the packaging. This is my second Gucci bronzing powder because the first one was overused and abused so soon. I use this for contouring and for faking a healthy glow, lol. I also use this to hide some redness, and this does not make my face orange or red.

Supergoop Daily Dose Vitamin C + SPF 40

Gisou Honey Infused Hair Oil – I’m not usually a big fan of hair oils, but this one? I can tolerate, and the scent is so fabulous. I really like how this hair oil relaxes the frizz on my hair. This makes my hair look shiny and tamed without looking greasy or feeling heavy.

Supergoop Daily Dose Vitamin C + SPF 40

Supergoop Daily Dose Vitamin C + SPF 40 – Apart from the cute packaging, I am in love with this product because this is an answer to my wish of having sunscreen and vitamin C in one. We all know that Vitamin C helps lighten the skin naturally and will help with the dark spots, but when added with SPF, everything becomes perfect. The skin is protected from harmful UV rays and will look lit from within. The texture of this product is so light and very fluid. I love that this does not feel sticky and has no weird smell. I can use this on my face without any breakouts.

Dior Jardin D’orangers candle

Jardin D’orangers candle – A pricey candle with very elegant packaging. I thought the charm of it would stop right there, but I am so wrong. Every time I get close to it, it is like I am in some undiscovered paradise whose name is about to be placed on the map, lol. The scent is like a garden full of fresh oranges. It is not a very in-your-face type of scent, but more of a mysterious one. It will keep you guessing and will keep you wanting for more. I also have the Figue Méditerranée candle, the purple one, and it is a fabulous, mysterious Mediterranean scent. The kind that smells familiar, but you just do not know where you have smelled it before, but you know there is something that draws you to it. Ya gets? 😀

J’adore Body Milk – I keep this one close to my desk. This is a fabulous, heavy, sexy, floral (jasmine) scent. A very mature scent fit for a grown woman. The texture is on the lighter side and has a milky feel. I tend to use this as a hand cream whenever I could not find my hand creams, and this works just fine. I love love love this a lot.

Tatcha Aburatorigami Blotting Papers

Tatcha Aburatorigami Blotting Papers – My favorite oil blotting paper of all time. I have packs of this on my desk because I love this so much. I use this for midday retouch or during Zoom breaks to get rid of excess oil, which makes my face look so virtually shiny, lol. There are not many sheets in each pack, especially given the price, but this is still the best oil blotting paper I have tried out there.
