Hello. Here is a quick eye cream review that I have been enjoying these days. The Samaya Kapha Eye Cream is the latest eye cream to hit my vanity counter, and I am happy to report that it works very well after weeks of trying it on my undereyes. It is one of the newest additions to the Samaya Ayurvedic all-natural skincare line that is based on an individual’s dosha (energy).
Prior to using the Samaya Eye Cream, I have been experimenting again on a couple of eye creams that I mostly used on rotation. I can say that I liked a few, but none of them really impressed me. As I was thinking of going back to my old favorites, I had the opportunity to try the Samaya Kapha Eye Cream, which I call a perfect natural undereye moisturizer. The feel of the eye cream is not like most eye creams which moisturize the undereye skin for only a few minutes until the skin becomes dry again. The Samaya Kapha Eye Cream is different and unique in its consistency because the texture has the perfect blend of fluidness and creaminess. It feels a tad slippery and somewhat creamy at the same time, making it very easy to spread all over the undereyes. This type of consistency keeps the undereye skin moisturized for a long time. The formula does set on the skin right away, but it does not make the skin feel rough. Further, the formula does not pill and is easy to blend with concealers and foundations.
Since the product is all-natural and made of clean ingredients, there is no discerning scent, and my skin did not get irritated from the product. Most importantly, the product comes in an easy-to-dispense pump, and the size is considerably large for an eye cream. For me, that is a big plus, given that I tend to use eye cream products at least twice a day. The Samaya Kapha Eye Cream has caffeine, green tea, and probiotics, among others, aiming to reduce puffy and tired undereyes. Indeed, my undereyes look more revitalized and less puffy as I continue to use the product.
Overall, the Samaya Kapha Eye Cream is another outstanding all-natural clean skincare from Samaya Ayurveda. Just like their moisturizers, cleansers, treatments, and exfoliants, I highly recommend their line of eye creams, especially the Kapha Eye Cream.
Note. Big thanks to Samaya Ayurveda skincare for providing the Kapha Eye Cream. The review and opinion herein are solely by the editor.
Hey there everybody. Happy September to you all. Soon, we will be falling for fall :-). Here is a review that I thought of posting but never got the chance to post until now. Please excuse me for my current MIA situation. I am currently very busy and will not be able to respond to your messages quickly. Rest assured that I have read all of them and will respond as soon as I have the time. Thank you mucho.
So, back to this long-overdue review, the Giorgio Armani beauty is one of the most exciting beauty products to always have in your purse. In line with the Chanel and Dior beauty, Armani’s makeup line is superb and well-crafted. I am a big fan of their makeup bases, powders, and lip products. These last few days of summer and even last year’s, I have been using and testing some Armani products, and I am very satisfied with each product’s quality.
Here are my top picks in Armani foundations, concealers, and primers.
Neo Nude Foundation in #5 – Light with a neutral undertone. Marketed as a lightweight hydrating foundation infused with skincare benefits. This foundation is meant to give a natural glowy finish. To me, this feels like a tinted moisturizer that is ideal to use on good/clear skin days because the coverage is light. There is no sticky feeling while wearing this, and this is the kind of foundation that is ideal for warm temperatures.
Luminous Silk Hydrating Primer – This is one of my most preferred primers ever due to the fluid consistency. This product feels like a skincare/primer hybrid, similar to the Milk Makeup Hydrogrip primer, also my holy grail. I have tried using this primer with just about any foundation, and the gripping power is very good. The fluid consistency is never sticky, and gives a moisturizing effect on the skin. I believe this is a great primer to combine with the Armani Neo Nude Foundation.
Luminous Silk Face and Under-Eye Concealer in #5 – Light with neutral undertone. This concealer is an Allure Best of Beauty winner in 2020. I like this concealer a lot. This sets well on the skin, and this has medium coverage and a somewhat radiant finish due to the micro-shimmer effect. Meaning, the finish will not look so flat while you are wearing this. The texture is creamy but never sticky once the product sets on the skin. I find that it is easy to build this product on the blemishes I want to conceal, and the lasting power can be more than 4 hours.
Power Fabric Concealer in 4.5 – Light to medium with a golden undertone. I reviewed this concealer before, and I always love this in any season and at any temperature. The lasting power is impressive, and the finish does not crack on the skin. The coverage is full, and the finish is matte, yet will not look flat once the product sets on the skin. Additionally, this concealer will hide your blemishes, your feelings, and your sins, LOL. This will even hide your age. So, go try! You are welcome (kidding) :-).
Power Fabric Compact Cream Foundation Balm in #4.5 – What can I say? I love this product VERY MUCH. I am not sure about the bad reviews about this product, but this product is heaven-sent for me. Imagine having a full-coverage foundation packed in one gorgeous Armani compact? This is it. I am not sure why Armani called this a “balm”. To me, this is like a true creamy foundation with the concept of a cushion that you dab on the face in terms of application. I like the idea of this product because this is easy to carry. Also, the coverage is really good and will cover anything you want to cover. There is no need to keep packing the product on the skin, as one dab will usually work. If the packaging of this product is gorgeous, the packaging is also a caveat because it feels quite bulky. The product feels like there is too much packaging that it may be tricky to carry the product in small purses.
There goes my review of some Armani beauty bases and concealers. What is your favorite Armani product? PM me.
Hi friends! Let’s take a quick break from makeup and beauty stuff reviews. This post is for all of us, music lovers. Raise your hand if:
*You have all the music streaming apps downloaded to your phone
*You have at least one Bluetooth speaker
*Different headsets in your pocket ready to listen to music any time
I can definitely relate to all three above. If you are a music lover, you know that music is the soundtrack of your life. Imagine a life without music? It is utterly bleak. I grew up with a strong musical background. From where I came from, everybody loves music, and it is all over the streets during festivals and in my local neighborhood. Each of my family members knows how to play a musical instrument, and I learned to play the piano at a young age. I never really took many piano lessons. I just listen to the sound and try to figure out the melody. Unfortunately, I am not one for a singer. But I am a songer, LOL. I love all kinds of songs, and I have a strange ability to remember a song’s lyrics ever since I was very young. Since then, I listen to songs from all genres, paying attention to lyrics, melodies, and rhythms.
Music heals the soul, puts a smile on people’s faces, and inspires creativity. Lately, I listen to more slow, dreamy music with a mix of techno and kpop. Last year, I listened to several heavy metal bands (my favorites are: In This Moment, Halestorm, and The Pretty Reckless) during my workouts. This year, I plan to listen to songs from other countries and concentrate more on melodies.
When it comes to the songs I like, there is no definitive reason for why I like them. The lyrics may not apply to me, but it helps me to empathize what the artist is trying to convey in the music. Lyrics and melodies help me to imagine the setting of the song and the artistry behind it. That is the reason why I have a gazillion playlist for songs in the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s that I like. Yes, I also listen to Chicago, Simon & Garfunkel, and even Michael Learns To Rock.
I try to keep my music gadgets as minimal as possible. I like my AirPods for working out and while taking pictures. However, I also love the portable Bluetooth speakers from Bose, especially the SoundLink Micro and the SoundLink Color. I can easily synchronize these speakers, and they produce a quality sound all throughout the house. The Bose app is very easy to use, and the speakers are water-resistant.
I wish I could share with you the lists of all the songs I like. But, there are too many of them. So, I narrowed them down to the ones I have been listening to lately. The list below is not a lot. Perhaps, I will add some more in the future posts.
Part of the lyrics I like
Why I like the song
Coldplay: The Scientist
I was just guessing at numbers and figures Pulling the puzzles apart Questions of science, science and progress…
The entire lyrics and mood of the song. Also, the video is ultra-cool:-)
Grimes: Flesh Without Blood
What a catchy title for such a fun bop. I can imagine this song being played in the outer space. P.S. I love Grimes’ work ethic.
Troye Sivan: Heaven
Without losing a piece of me How do I get to heaven? Without changing a part of me How do I get to heaven?
So, if I’m losing a piece of me Maybe I don’t want heaven.
A powerful song about finding oneself and learning to love it. It does not really matter what other people say. What matters is how you value yourself and how you treat others. Each of us is enough, and each of us does not really have to fit to a certain standard. Why try to be someone else when you are meant to be different? You glow!
Billie Eilish: Ocean Eyes
Burning cities and napalm skies, Fifteen flares inside those ocean eyes,
Careful creature made friends with time, He left her lonely with a diamond mind.
What a beautiful, relaxing, and nostalgia-inducing song about a fascination or attraction between two brilliant creatures. I am not sure though, which one is the careful type, which one is time, and which one has a diamond mind, or which one has the ocean eyes? This song is hands down on another level.
Lana del Rey: The Next Best American Record
And we were so obsessed with writing the next best American record, That we gave all we had ’til the time we got to bed, ‘Cause we knew we could…
There are so many themes in this song, but a certain part of the lyrics spells hard work to me.
Lana del Rey: Old Money
Blue hydrangea, cold cash divine Cashmere cologne and white sunshine, Red racing cars, sunset and vine…
The lyrics in this song transports me to a beautiful garden where everything is warm and sunny.
I do not know what to make of this song. It is very sad and mysterious, yet it is beautifully composed and has a unique tune. Also, the lyrics has a twist at the end.
BTS: Blood, Sweat, and Tears
My blood, sweat, and tears My body, mind, and soul
What a very passionate song with very contrasting dance beats. It will give you mixed emotions.
BTS: Louder than Bombs
You and I, we feel it together Sadness and pain It’s not a coincidence Yeah, we picked this game
Pain and success are not really that mutually exclusive. This song lights up my synesthetic brain like dynamite. What a beautifully crafted masterpiece.
P.S. Suga’s rap is really great on this one.
I feel destiny in you, you, you,
I feel destiny in me, me, me,
(guccipiggy, don’t laugh at me :-))
A song about love, destiny, and the universe. I purple you all!!!
Part of the lyrics I like
Why I like the song
I walk down memory lane late at night, I end up losing my way every time
I love the beat of the chorus. Definitely a great song to listen to at night.
Bossa n’ Adele, Michelle Simonal: When We Were Young
You look like a movie You sound like a song My God this reminds me of when we were young,
Let me photograph you in this light, In case it is the last time That we might
be exactly like we were, Before we realized We were scared of getting old
It made us restless
Bossa Nova and Adele? Never knew a combo of this tune would sound so good.
Bossa Nova Lite, Sofia: Águas De Março
This song is giving me an “Emily in Paris” vibe. The ultimate chill song while in a bathtub or just getting ready for going somewhere nice and fun.
Charlie Puth: Losing My Mind
I got so much to do and not enough time, Not enough time.
Is this the ultimate grad school theme song? LOL
Goo Goo Dolls: Iris
And I don’t want the world to see me, ‘Cause I don’t think that they’d understand, When everything’s made to be broken, I just want you to know who I am.
Forever a 90’s kid.
Lord Huron: The Night We Met
I am not the only traveler Who has not repaid his debt I’ve been searching for a trail to follow again…
This song can hit you like a truck. Not kidding.
Alan Walker: Faded
Where are you now, Atlantis?
All of us are looking for some form of Atlantis, aren’t we?
Imagine Dragons: Natural
Will the stars align? Will heaven step in, will it save us from our sin, will it? ‘Cause this house of mine stands strong
I take this as a song about resilience.
My God, it ain’t no sin Can I get it? Can I get an Amen?
One of my top workout songs. Amen.
Bishop Briggs: White Flag
Oh, won’t wave my white flag, no
Another favorite workout song. Be strong, darlings. Live your life.
